They have even made Fathers' Day about women. Smh. |
All is fair in war. Striking first is declaring war. |
Jokerman:good to know you expect so much. There's no player that scores at least a goal in every game though. |
ReeLoaDead:anything can happen in football but it is unlikely. Argentina lacks chemistry and are super jittery at the back. It would take some sort of brilliance to beat a big team. |
ReeLoaDead:Nicaragua in a friendly game? Lol. They would likely make it past the group stage. But what happens when they face Brazil or Uruguay? I can't think of any other 'big team' that is so vulnerable at the back. When they are beaten, it's usually by multiple goals. Or the way the whole team crumbles when you manage to stifle Messi. I hope they do well, but then hope isn't a strategy. |
iPopAlomo:oro wetin? Dey there dey dream. Cristiano isn't even top 3 this season. He added nothing to Juve (they won even less than they are used to winning), and Portugal was always solid without him in the group stage and in the final when he went missing in action. Posting his CV on social media wouldn't help him get the award. |
ReeLoaDead:Argentina are unlikely to win this Copa. They only have good attackers. Average midfield, terrible defense, unremarkable goal keeper. That's why their attackers rarely get the ball in good positions, and they are concede some really silly goals. In this shape, it would take a miracle for them to win anything. In fact they might get a trashing if they make it past the group stages. |
![]() After a match or two, we Will soon hear the midget's favourite line . . . the "I want to retire from international football" cry. Written by a Barcelona fan .
no, you are not a Barcelona fan. You are just a liar that would pretend to be what you are not, just to sound more convincing. |
Saheed9:maybe because he rarely tackles and is simply there to clear the ball after teammates have put pressure on the opponent? That's also why he has not been dribbled past in many games. |
Xclusivedaniel6:yeah, ballon d'or and FIFA best is now based on media sentiments. Ronaldo had to go list his achievements on social media to stay relevant. |
flamingREED:typical ignorant yet religiously bigoted self-righteous soul. Deep down you know you are evil and so you try to convince yourself that the next person is worse, even when you don't know them. You think you know God, with your evil heart. I know your kind. Quote the Bible in public and defraud or try to destroy others, or sleep with other peoples wives in secret. The God who made the universe sees through your hypocrisy. Whether he's the God your pretentious soul worships, is another matter. If your hellfire exists, you aren't escaping it. |
flamingREED:see this one. It's shocking to you that I think there is a lot of pretense in religion? You are an example, see the way you are trying to bash someone you barely know just because I dared to be sincere. As far as you know, the only way I can think different from the way you are conditioned to think is if I have some sort of mental disorder. News flash, I don't. Bullying, fear mongering, group thinking, guilt tripping, gaslighting... I'm past all those nonsense psychological weapons used by mainstream religions now. So don't bother. I'm no longer in mental shackles like you and your kind. I'm also probably saner than everyone that has ever existed in your family tree. So thanks for the suggestion, but you need the mental treatment way more than I do or ever will. |
Preshy561:chill... He knows her better than you do. Don't pretend there aren't nasty people out there. |
smartspeakerz:please don't spread misinformation. Cristiano isn't the only philantropist footballer, never has been. Just say you didn't know about Drogba or Beckham or the many current footballers who regularly support charitable causes. Ozil has always been a philantropist, same with Messi. They are just less likely to show it off on social media, and their reserved nature doesn't exactly make them media favourites. |
babakb:preferring Messi has nothing to do with this. The guy you quoted is just an eediot. I prefer Messi to Ronaldo on the pitch, but it's stupid for anyone to say this is just eye service, seeing as Ronaldo does this a lot. He might be a narcissist, but he has a good heart. Little things like this matter. |
youngest85:doesn't matter, he has fulfilled someone's dream. A child would sleep happy that night. |
OGHENAOGIE:those people are no different from those I am referring to in my post, and their tribalism does not justify the one I was responding to. Nigerians are mostly tribal bigots, discriminating even to the family level. Since we all want to justify it, let's just not pretend to be shocked that we too can become victims of discrimination by persons in other countries (racism/xenophobia). |
maryjames9:what! Please say what you know. Religion (especially Christianity) has been tempered by the age of fundamental human rights, that's why you are saying this. Read up the history of world religions. Many persons were publicly murdered by fanatics of the churches in Europe under fancy terms like heresy. If you disagree with the church, you die. If someone accuses you of withcraft, you die. If you try to translate the Bible for the commoners and you get caught, you die. It was that bad. |
This is funny because the mosques in my area are just as noisy as the churches. The eediots in my area keep disturbing my sleep, whereas the churches are mostly noisy in the day. The only people that I see preaching are the controversial JW, and many Christians do no agree that they are also Christians. I wonder what CAN is fighting for then. |
Last last, religion na scam. The God that created the mind-blowing universe cannot be the same one that gets jealous and angry when powerless creatures (humans) in one tiny planet in one tiny solar system at the fringe of one of the billions of galaxies in the universe chooses to not worship Him. That's freaking petty. |
Ayo25:because many of them do not try to force others to think the same way they do. |
There is some truth in this. However, what you see as happiness is actually a facade. Church and religion as a whole promotes pretense. Growing into adults, humans perfect this pretense even if they are dying inside. I grew up to believe that being unhappy about one's state is a lack of appreciation for and faith in God. We should always be happy and in all things give glory to God. I believed it all. Those who aren't very religious are much more sincere with themselves are are more likely to be seen as sad, than the religious who mask the emptiness, disappointment and frustration with smiles and songs. |
Elemosho478:why are you people such tribal bigots? Tomorrow you'd play the victim when a person of another race makes racist comments about you or someone you care about. |
Why is it the moment our girls step out of Africa they are beaten black and blue? The last women world cup we managed just one draw and didn't make it past the group stage. We lost 3 - 0 to Norway and we haven't event met France o. ![]() |
Africa... ![]() |
Hard to trust this girl though. Seems an attention-seeking ho. If this truly happened, they should get the guy arrested ASAP. It's not ok to touch people without their consent. |
sursur:they are mostly greedy souls, that's why. |
cr7lomo:even this retardeen has come to defend his god against the bitterness of truth. You keep getting bashed and your reasoning (or sheer lack of it) exposed across different threads but you wouldn't respect yourself for once. What do you know that this conversation was about? Don't you have fellow airheads you should be in a 'footballer cockk-sucking contest' with? |
naturalwaves:where is the personality attack on Ronaldo in my post? Don't try to shift goal posts now, your post was clear enough. You guys are trying to imply that Ronaldo's goal was rated the best by professionals and wins the official award, while Messi's goal won an inconsequential fan vote. There is no official panelist list that did a countdown from 10 to 1. They simply had a shortlist of 10 goals (its on the UEFA site too) in no defined order, and Ronaldo's goal was the first on the list. Nowhere did they tell you that that was a ranking of the goals, and that Ronaldo's own was adjudged the best. If it was they would have said so explicitly like they did for Messi's goal that was eventually voted the best and given the title GOAL OF THE TOURNAMENT. Also notice how it is not FANS GOAL OF THE TOURNAMENT. |
naturalwaves:that was a top 10 shortlist and not an award. Same way you have top 10 for Ballon d'Or and votes from coaches and journalists determine top 3 and the eventual winner. UEFA favours fan vote for their best goal award. They do it every week and at the end of the tournament. You people just like pushing meaningless anti-Messi agenda. Have you seen any UEFA source that explicitly refers to Ronaldo's goal as the best? You see their post on their website where 'winner' is written next to Messi, and you are still arguing about the position of names on the top 10 list. Even a list that is not sorted in any particular order must have an item at the top. It means nothing unless they say otherwise. Go give Ronaldo the award na. Someone whose goal wasn't even recognized as goal of the group stage. |
naturalwaves:one person would start one ignorant claim and the rest of you would carry it on your head like horns without bothering to verify from source. See the UEFA official goal of the tournament here. Of the top 10, the top 4 were shortlisted and fans picked the winner like they do every week. Messi's goal wins the award. https://gotw.uefa.com/#/en Cure your ignorance. |
frankmoney:only a few persons would be stupid enough to think that EVERYONE who sides the victim in an issue as controversial as rape is a fan of a rival footballer, just because the accused is a footballer. Evidently you are stupid enough to think rape is an agenda pushed by Messi fans, just because football trolls sometimes mention it. You could as well claim Messi paid her to accuse him. As if one cannot be a great footballer and still be a rapist. The fact that he gave her hush money in the first place speaks volumes. |
