Just like i expected.

Ask yourself this question, why do Nigerians look for loopholes in the Constitution just to find a way to break it.

The problem in my view is not the politicians who do it, its the citizens of Nigeria who support it that encourage politicians to look for the next loophole. The judiciary who fail to stop it also are responsible. Then when the people who are responsible for making laws are the ones using loopholes in the Constitution to protect themselves, we seriously need a saviour.

As i speak, one politician somewhere is also looking for such a loophole to get ahead since what ever he does whether rightly or wrongly, he will get supporters.
a thousand likes, bro.

Nigerians encourage lawlessness, and because our leaders can only be Nigerians, we get no better than we deserve.

Imagine one idiot public office holder saying gorilla swallowed money (years after the one of snake), and Nigerians just laugh over it. No accountability, nothing.

I don't understand any of this politics stuff, but I'm happy to read the arguments here cheesy

I also agree with the person that said we need to punish lawbreakers more. Let the court decide without bias, and whoever is deemed guilty of breaking the laws should face some real punishment. Maybe lose their seats in the house or something.

Take a stand against crime? as a nation? grin grin That is never ever ever gonna happen, the youths who are supposed to be the future are the ones who are commiting the crime and supporting it.

The politicians are not left out in the crimes, So who will stand against crimes?
yeah it is really unlikely, sadly. Unlikely but not impossible. If we could just fix the system to reward honesty and punish illegality without pity, we stand a chance.

Every nation has the good, bad and ugly. USA and many countries in Europe had darker pasts than Nigeria can dream of, yet they are better off now. It's not because they have better humans living there, it's because they made laws and followed them - there is actual punishment for crime and you are very likely to get caught too.

Here we are just pretending every day and covering up with religious devotion. As we speak, a nearby church is disturbing the neighborhood with meaningless noise that wouldn't cross the sky.

Unless Africans have a unique gene that makes us corruption-prone, Nigeria no get excuse jare. Africa has no excuse.

This is why many wonen can't related to break ups well. You make a private affair a show piece. When the affairs finally goes south, you are fighting on two fronts.

The PRIVATE pain of emotions and the public perceive shame.
damn! Exact same thing I was telling a friend days ago. When it is not the world they are trying to impress with meaningless showoff, it's their friends they are telling every relationship detail that ought to be private.

Well said.

Hmmm... People actually think this is funny.

When would Nigerians stop celebrating fraudsters and other kinds of criminals? Instead of calling crime what it is - fraud - we call it euphemistic names like 'yahoo yahoo' for fraud or 'yahoo plus' for money rituals or 'kola' for bribe.

Hopefully we take a stand against crime as a nation and actually start to move forward.

Crime › Re: My Husband, Saheed Hussain Stabbed Himself - Hanan BUK Law Student by Bahddo(m): 10:18am On Jun 23, 2019
Self defense is the preferred excuse by female killers. The victims usually have tried to rape or kill them. Women waste no time blaming the nearest guy for their own shocking actions.

If her husband tried to stab her with a knife, she'd likely be dead. From their pics, it's already an unfair fight without the knife, especially considering that she was pregnant. Only way she's up and he's down is that she's the one that used a weapon.

It may well be self defense, depending on who attacked first, but she's obviously the one who used the weapon. It's very unlikely he stabbed himself.

Amusing to see people blaming the governor like he was the one littering the place.

Nigerians are dirty and mess up their environment, they blame the government. They are evil and corrupt and ruin the nation and their image outside, they also blame the government.

Until we start to take responsibility for our mess up and work towards becoming better persons as individuals, we'd never get it right as a nation (or individual states).

Education › Re: Wrong Use Of The Words "Kid Sister" And "Kid Brother" by Bahddo(m): 2:22pm On Jun 21, 2019
There was a time the word 'gay' first of all meant 'happy' and could be used to describe one's day. 'Pussy' also meant cat, and was so used in children's songs.

Bottom line is, English is dynamic. It is defined by popular usage and not the other way round. That single reason is why we don't speak the same English people spoke during Shakespeare's time, or during the time of the translators of the King James version.

Islamaphobes have turned christian religion into a super-right that undermines all other religions…their new idea is that christianity can override absolutely anything. That is unacceptable. We are sending strong warning to Adeleke University that this time they are dancing on the edge of
a volcano. Ultimately, they have abused this power for long, it's time for them to loose it. This people have responded to our peaceful nature by terrorizing us. The time to bide and hide is over. We call on authorities to take action, otherwise, this time it won't be "all bark no bite" any more.

Peace.
keep quiet jor. Which other religion do you see calling others infidels and killing them for religious reasons? There's no country where you guys have a sizeable population that is peaceful or fair for everyone.

Was it Christians that were recently getting people arrested for eating publicly during a fast?

You can pretend all you like but your our religion is the scum of the earth, and deep down you know it.

Na wa o. I know depression could make one do stupid things, but it's rather selfish and insensitive to end one's own life because of some useless lover.

What happens to family and friends who genuinely love you? You break their hearts. Their love and care is treated as worthless while you stress over some random guy or girl you met that you don't even truly know and who doesn't care about you.

After spending several years sacrificing a lot to take care of a child, they choose to die for some stupid relationship and leave others in anguish. That's totally unfair.

sounds like when women are caught with a man committing a crime. Everyone just holds the man responsible as if the women are mentally incapable of anything but good.

They aren't angels, they just suck at taking responsibility for their actions.

As much as I'd like to blame the guy, I won't. What he did is stupid and shameless, but not a crime. The girlfriend on the other hand is physically abusive, and that is a crime. We shouldn't condemn violence only when it is against women and the perpetrator is male.

That woman could kill him the day she's tired of his stupidity. They are better off apart.
