I knew you people will enter that trap ![]() Is "Anyways" a proper English word too. Girl, you're hip o ![]() Anyways, let me leave you to do your hop[s][/s] work. ![]() |
Eldee, no mind the gurl. Gamine, where you @? |
Not a fanatic like y'allGamine, do you know that a lot of all these slangs you've been using in your posts are part of the hip hop culture? Example, what's y'all? Is that a 'proper' English word? Unconsciously, you love the hip hop culture too!!! Or, do you want to tell me you ain't hip? Are you that dull/boring ![]() |
Still "Gaming" huh? |
Hmmmm, Glad to have you back ![]() So you love rap too? You may be ugly. Are you ugly? |
Thinking to himself while typing: This "Gaming" babe won't tell me who she is in that profile - maybe she's even neither of 'em. Maybe she's ugly sef. i was talking about the Hip hop cultureWhat? You were talking about a subject you obviously know next to nutin about? So, please remind me; what have you talked about the hip hop culture in all your posts in this thread Stupid jeans? stupid swagger? as you put it![]() Man!You really got nutin to say. By the way, what's your fave genre of music? Do you like music at all ![]() |
Huh, 'Gaming'? |
He he hehe, ![]() Well, not to post off topic. Rap, for the reasons given above; is LIFE. Anything else to say 'Gaming' |
And the fact that I don't do any of those stuff you mentioned (wear stupid jeans, do stupid swagger, you're so angry; ain't you?) doesn't make me any less of a rap fan. It's all in the mind. Got it? ![]() |
Gamine, living up to your name, playing games huh? lol. I'm asking you to tell me which one of 'em you are, all you can say is which one of 'em do I gbadun? Are you the one in the flowing gown? |
Lives of some people i knowSee me see trouble o!!! Where did we meet? So, through my posts on this thread, you've known/met me? Wearing all that stupid jeans, that stupid swagger which is so uncoolFYI, I don't even do all those stuff you mentioned up there. I'm a lawyer (and of course you know how lawyers dress, talk, act and walk). I'm just a deep and reflective person who appreciates deep, literary and artistic expression in all its forms and varieties. Aside, which one of those two girls in your profile are you? ![]() |
The hiphop way of life has corrupted many lives.Has it corrupted yours? I do not believe a certain genre of music should corrupt anyone's life, except for bums and dummies. See, let's be realistic here. All these rubbish that peops say like "a certain form of music affected my life" is just another way of giving the popular excuse of "It's the devil's work" when offenders are caught. So, if you cheat on your boyfriend, rap made you do it. You carry guns/shoot n kill, rap made you do it. You do drugs, rap made you do it. Maybe if I'm your boyfriend and you catch me pants down with another chick, I'll say "Rap made me do it". Please wake up and be responsible for your own actions. ![]() Very soon, someone lame n lazy bone would start blaming fuji, apala, juju, salsa, anything, for his/her sins hisses and shakes his head, lips pursed hard in pity Maybe Rap made Judas Iscariot betray Jesus? or it made the people nail him to the Cross? If you don't like something, just be bold enough to state it categorically. Stop blaming the ills of this world on a particular form of music. Again, Rap Is Life. ![]() |
Verily verily I say unto thee: RAP IS LIFE. This doyin13 sef, I'm sure the guy is 13 years of age, anyway, age doesn't even count, the guy's just silly; saw some of his other shitty posts elsewhere too. The boy knows nutin about rap music. |
That performance was off da chain!!!! Awesome. |
Another correction, don't say Biggie is better than Nas, ain't no best. Jay-z said he's better than Biggie and Nas said they equal.@kaydee OMG!!! Kaydee there you go again. Gay-Z said he's better than Biggie?? Lol, that dude has said a lot of ish in his lifetime but if he really did say that, I'll be shocked. Gosh, that's one of the most embarrassing statements from any rapper I say it again and again, Biggie swallows Nas up. Biggie elevated the rap game for me more than Nas (though I have a lot of respect for Nas). There's no east coast rapper who ranks above Biggie in my mind, dead or alive. And, Nas said who's equal to who? That ain't clear from your post. @Hannibal Em's a great rapper. But rating him above Nas Na, that ain't right at all. You see, this is really getting interesting, topic here was Nas V. Jay-Z, then the whole thang drifted off to Biggie V. Pac. Now, I can't even mention all those other names that suddenly appeared in this thread. For me 'neways, Em is tight but ain't nutin compared to Nas.And really, I don't feel Fiddy so much like Hannibal does. Just a few tracks here and there. That can't be the future of rap for me. And who is? Let's just wait an' see ![]() Maybe I don't have a list of the top ten or whatever rappers but looking through the names mentioned here so far, my A-Class rappers would always be Pac and Biggie. Then comes Nas. Then comes Em. They're just the best for me. These cats got the best use of rhymes, lyrics, wordplay, metaphors, vivid imageries, figurative expressions, name it. They represent everything you're looking for in rap.. My ol' school are Rakim, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap. And lastly on my good rappers' list would come Ludacris (this guy's good), Jay-Z, Redman ("Da Goodness" is one of my best rap tracks ever), Mos' Def ("Oh No" - what a track!!!) Obie Trice, Lupe, DMX (in his prime), Xhibit, Snoop, Dr. Dre, Fiddy (some guys don't know - this is 50 Cent, not Diddy), Kanye West and maybe I forgot some. And I'm not forcing all that down anyone's throat. It's MY OPINION. ![]() |
O M G I thought this ish was over!!! I'm really surprised at so many of the things I'm hearing here. Look, let me start by saying I'll never even lay claim to all those "I'm a rap-head, Been listening to rap from my mama's womb" and bla bla bla like that. You don't even need all that to be a good rap fan and critic. Just LISTEN to Rap Music. I don't care if you were born in the 40s, 50s, 60s - 2000s. Just play the darn rap songs (from rappers of every era and age) and LISTEN with your mind and ears wide open. Then you'll know who's good and who's not. @HANNIBAL YOU ARE DA MAN! Reading through the whole thread, you're the only guy who just types everything on my mind word for word!!! You see, Nas V. Gay-Z is a topic that didn't even require any second thots or a millisecond for me to answer. NAS all the way!!! I can't even see the point(s) of comparison at all. Gosh, it's annoying ![]() But Hannibal, Tupac V. Biggie has always been a very hard one for me. A lot of times I've sat down for days listening to both cats over and over again, trying to compare. But just when I thought had the winner, everything just comes down again like a pack of cards. And that's the only point at which I tend to disagree with you. You can't say Biggie was a greater rapper than Pac. Between you and me, I just can't give it to either. And the reasons ain't far-fetched. Biggie was a god of flows, delivery, metaphors, rhymes, story-telling/emceeing, imagery. He was the god of the flip and hip side of rap, 2pac was the god of the lyrics, the deep side of rap. He makes you think, reflect, cry, He was soul-touching with his style. Both were kings in their style. And I just can't say that either was a greater/better rapper than the other. Only thing was that a friend of mine once said Biggie was the best rapper ever while Tupac was the greatest rapper ever, he meant the former was really skilled at the art of rap while the latter achieved a high level of greatness by the things he rapped about. For me, I just can't decide. @all Biggie and Nas?!!!!! Please don't even start another blasphemy!!! Biggie eats Nas raw - and I mean even without Nas' deep lyrical content. YES. I won't dwell on this. It's for another day, @bgees and kaydee All those disrespectful words to Biggie? I'm not sure you have listened well to him. Someone said he borrowed from Nas ? @doyin You amaze me the most here. You shouldn't even talk when peops are talking about rap. Your babblings with Hannibal were like between a professor and a meat seller on what a school looks like. I can't even begin to quote or refer to some of the most sacrilegious things I ever heard in my life that you said on this thread. Well, so much for freedom of expression, I'm out. |
Java, some friend asked me wussup? My reply be like Heaven knows I'm as nice as hell. Dude, I love that Contradiction joint sha. That's creativity. |

Tomorrow now, someone would start comparing Modenine with Tupac. I'm outta here runs out of nairaland quickly before some mischievous fellow posts that ish. |
I love kemistry; she's natural. I really didn't know she could be cool like that until I met her @ the Vault @ one of 'em Starcomms/Colossal shows. But a lot of the rest piss me off. Like Wildchild. The guy's plain fake and arrogant; I've met him on several occasions and fella wasn't impressive at all always with his nose in the air, hissesOn the turntable, I give it to KLM. But on a general note, Cool FM is it. |

Eedris Abdulkareem ![]() |
Bgees thanks a bunch - please tell them! Nas' style makes me go ill! And again, that's automatic! |
Kaydee, vote for either of 'em and stop talking ambiguously. Reading through the whole thread, I can't find you voting for anyone. All you've been shouting is "stop digging this buried story" - Who do you vote for? NAS of course!!! King of NY after Biggie!!!! ![]() |
Did you study Physics - "Like poles attract". ![]() |

I like 9 too, forgot to mention - my best of his tracks is Contradiction; dude spat volumes there.
