Many guys into homosexuality were raped by gays.

When masturbation becomes excessive, it can psychologically change one's sexuality to either gay or lesbianism.
Did you ask them? How do you know? Personal experience or what? undecided

Women who were sexual abused find it difficult to have sex... Why is it different for boys? You people come up with the most stupid excuses. You seriously think rape cause homosexuality. If you were sodomized, would you be gay?

Masturbation doesn't change sh**. Billions of straight men masturbate, they watch porn too. If they didn't, the porn industry wouldn't be worth over 90 billion dollars. grin

That the truth, i too don't fancy having children after the experience i've gathered in life so far. But the society in which we live so much believe in child rearing that's why many aren't enjoying their marriage.
What really baffles me is when gay and lesbian couples wants to have children!
Many barren women want children. The inability to reproduce doesn't quell the desire for offsprings. It's simple.
Religion / Re: Religion: A Realm Of Hope by Banilla: 10:48am On Mar 07, 2023
I agree. There are hundreds of religion though.

But yes, religion is hope. That's the reason I don't like it.

When I was younger, I used to pray a lot cause things were really difficult. I was raised Catholic. I would pray the rosary everyday and novenas... I wasn't a fanatic tho. I was sincere.

I was 15 when I realised that God doesn't exist. I used to think he never answered my prayers cause I was too imperfect but that's bullsh**. I'm a good person. I didn't deserve the crap I went through. No one does.

I turned to God because I needed hope. I wanted to be sure that someone out there loved me dearly, that he was aware of all I was going through and he would someday help me.

But if I had spent all my life hoping, I would be dead. I've taken control of my life. I now know bad things happen, so I don't punish myself when they do. I take responsibility. Things haven't been great but I'm happier than I've ever been.

The rats still died, no matter how long they lasted. No one saved them and that's the lesson. If they were intelligent, they would have helped themselves. Humans are intelligent, we aren't rats.

I used to be scared of death but not anymore. When I'm dead, I'm dead. It's inevitable. So I'm gonna truly live. It's one short life we've each been given.

YES!
But will you approve a marriage between your son and a lady who can't produce children? smiley
Definitely. If he's comfortable with not having kids, why wouldn't I? He doesn't need my approval to do what makes him happy. Personally, I don't want children. I can't stand the thought of it. And I'm more or less straight. There are millions of people like myself. Permanent sterilization is a thing. So sex isn't always about reproduction. undecided

Heterosexuals don't mate to reproduce. There are so many types of contraceptives, why do they exist? Obviously, millions of straight people have sex for pleasure. undecided

According to the story...
1. Human
2. None since Adam and Eve are the progenitors of all who exist.
3. Yes
4. The garden was God's personal garden and so could be anywhere

All the answers you seek are right there in the story. You just need to accept it or reject it in its entirety and move on. undecided
oh please. We have many races and many more ethnicities... There is no such thing as the human race. I get that we're all the same but you can't explain the difference.

So God marked Cain why?

How did we descend from them? Thousand of years of inbreeding created you and I? That's smart.

But you don't know where... No Christian does.

You don't know how you came to be. So maybe that short, inconsistent book isn't a story of your origin but something else.

I think you should retink your interpretation then because you wrote the words: Sexual/mental maturity is bad.
Because I'm interpreting the origin story. The forbidden fruit is considered bad by Christians. It might be confusing but you've answered the question.

I'm seeing things from their point of view while interpreting the story.

Personally, I think sex is good.

I think it's more likely that these stories was the mythologising of ecological collapse, renewal and the human thirst for knowledge that the ancients inevitably witnessed in a recurring fashion. A tale to remind themselves that natural disasters were a display of divine powers and renewal was a show of divine compassion while reminding themselves of the dangers of seeking knowledge . Can you imagine living in a world with devastating rains, winds and flash floods, with no fire, no farming skills, no hunting skills and no other species with the capacity to communicate with spoken language. Such a world would be be very scary and venturing outside of whatever enclave you and your tribe know would be very dangerous and terrifying to contemplate.
I get it. That's the definition of mythology, right? People trying to explain what they don't understand.

This description reminds me of Noah and the flood, the fallen angels and giants too. It was all so chaotic.

The bolded... It's a perfect quote.

Fine, answer these.

1. What race/ethnicity were they? (Adam and Eve)

2. Who were the people already living on earth? When God marked Cain...

3. Did we all descend from Adam and Eve? How? Also explain why there are so many races...

4. Where was the garden of Eden? What happened to it?

If the fruit is sex and the sex/fruit is anathema to the god which resulted in punishment then are you not calling sex a sin? Besides you just repeated it again: Sexual/mental maturity is bad. Those are your words.
I clearly stated that the punishment were just responsibility for men and womanhood for women. Which is very natural. Even male animals do the work providing shelter and food while the females conceive, give birth and raise the children...

God doesn't exist. The devil doesn't either. Sexual maturity is awareness and that's what the fruit represents. Obviously, after sexual maturity comes children and responsiblity.

Unfortunately, "religious" is a thing many receive in breast milk without realising. That's why you say God-good, Satan-bad. That's religion.

Imagine you picked up Genesis 1-5 and read it with no religious preconditioning whatsoever so the words you read have no religious pre-meaning to you. Can you do that? In Jesusspeak, you'd be becoming as a child.

First thing you'd likely ask is why was Man demoted from "mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground", to a naked gardener in Eden. Ref.

And when you realise that those who ate the fruit did not fall down dead, but went on to live another 800 years, you'd likely ask who was the God and who the serpent was. Ref

My point is, we are discussing a book written by humans, while some think they are discussing the writings of gods.

Banilla, the refs will show you some of my pasts on the subject and the usuals it attracts.
This true. Humans wrote the Bible. I was wondering if there was something to the story.

But thank you for this. grin

The old testament is a puzzle.

It's a known fact that underage marriage is practiced by Muslim dominated areas of the world, and that includes Saudia Arabia, half of middle-east , and Asia . Secondly , why should gay people impose their world view on those of us who don't want it ? If you lot feel like humping yourselves , please go ahead , but kindly leave the heterosexuals out your madness . And stop adopting children since you'll only be going against your perverted way of life
So you don't care about them cause it's not happening where you live but you're obsessed with the gays in countries you'll never travel to. undecided

No one is imposing anything. All your life, have you been forced to date a man? To kiss one? Have sex with one? I'm sure not. No one has either. Heterosexuals hold hands and kiss in public... The men molesting girls and women, aren't they straight as a pole? You're talking as if straight women don't dress semi-naked, like straight men don't go about exposing themselves... Have you witnessed a gay couple having sex? undecided

Why don't you adopt the children then... Or your church... Gay couples give them a loving home, something you can't offer. Heterosexuals couples give birth to gay children and gay couples raise heterosexual children. Obviously, no one is being influenced. Are you gay? grin

Homosexuality has existed since the beginning of time. If it's contagious, why aren't we all gay? undecided

See. The Bible has a lot of loopholes. It doesn't make perfect sense. So it's either trash or there are precious hidden meanings.... But you Christians just take it as it is. Even though you can't defend it.

1. Interpreting is wrong, particularly where scripture is concerned. Scripture remains the same but guess what many of the beliefs of those who claim to believe in the God of scripture differ completely from what is in fact written in scripture, why? Because what they believe are instead interpretations as they majorly reject what is written much like you. So, while you are in great company — over 2 billion and counting —, you are numbered among those who reject Scripture. undecided

2. Why bother with scripture at all as it is covered from the beginning to the end of many outrageous claims? Like a man walking on water, a chariot of fire from heaven, angels, etc. Why bother with it at all? undecided
Outrageous claims, yes... But maybe they are parables (right word?)

If you get the meaning, you know better... I've read most of the Bible, it's not a storybook. Seems like something old wise men wrote to guide their descendants.

You are calling sex sin and you say you didn't call it bad, that's exactly what you are calling it.
No. You don't understand. I'll try to explain.

Sex isn't bad. Sexual maturity is the period humans find themselves more self-conscious and aware of the world. In other words, humans become truly knowledgeable only after reaching puberty, from the age of 9. Knowing what's good and bad and realising we have free will gives us the option to do good or do bad.

As people sexually mature, they develop mentally too...

Childhood is goodness not because of the lack of sex but because of the lack of sexual/mental maturity which comes before sex. Sexual/mental maturity is bad because of the exposure it offers...

When I say it's bad, I'm not condemning it... The Bible talks about God's love for children, so I imagine God favours childlike behaviour.

1. Yeah, you can ask its meaning but to assert your opinion as being superior to that of the writer when you didn't get the same revelation is to basically reject the story and its writer's claims. So, is that your intention? undecided

2. Giving a story an interpretation based on private ideas that do not hold as far as what is written is essentially the same as asserting one's opinions as being of better value than what is written. That is what religious folks/con men do. undecided

Nothing in that story suggests childhood is goodness — that idea does not even come close to being the reality for the vast majority out there—, nor is sexual maturity the reason provided for the realization that Adam and Eve had of their unclothedness in the garden. So, inserting these ideas into the story where they were not originally contained, means you are rewriting the story itself to fit your personal theory. undecided
interpreting it. Yes, that's what I'm doing. I could be wrong. The Bible remains the same. Who cares about my ideas?

The reason is a talking snake who gave Eve an unknown fruit to eat. We know.

1. You mean a proverb? When you twist the content of a story of one story in order to essentially fabricate meaning, you are said to be telling a story completely different from the first. Usually, you have to accept and follow the plot laid out in a story in order to grasp the meaning embedded within in. That is what smart is about. undecided

2. It may be difficult, even near impossible, for you to grasp but that doesn't mean it is the same for everyone else. undecided
