Trusting a Nigerian in Business is like putting one's hand in fire. It's a pity that we have all hindered ourselves and growth with this fraudulent character. Even when a Nigerian can make #100 million from a deal, he won't be satisfied. Rather he would prefer running away with one billion and getting a bad name.

Task force is just another form of robbery in Nigeria. Even when You are right. Task force will impound your goods or cars and ask You to pay an outrageous amount of money. Task force should have video evidence before impounding anything. There was a day I was in a fuel queue, all of a sudden task force came and took my car. Their reason was that the car had red plate number, a new car that was just bought barely a month. All explanations that the car is being used to run my business failed. They said I should have painted it a taxi color. I told them it's not a taxi, but used for my business. If I had a gun then.........

SSpeter: A friend is calling off his wedding plans because he thinks his girlfriend lacks integrity. They have known for about 3years and he has not complained about her to me or any one.
Problem started when he got a call from the bank pleading with him to tell his girlfriend to reverse/return the excess amount credited to her account when she visited the bank to make a deposit into her account. He called his account officer to investigate the issue. The account officer confirmed that she got excess of what she wanted to deposit and she has moved all the funds to another bank.
She used the guy as her next of kin that was how they could contact him. He called his babe who denied initially but reluctantly agreed when he divulged that the bank contacted him. Dude became angry and paused all wedding plans.

This is going to be long because I will want us to read and understand it very well before commenting. Reason is because any decision taken is going to affect both myself,my immediate family members, extended and the entire community.
I have been thinking about the way forward since December last year.
It happened that we lost our king (Eze) 5years ago and the community has been in turmoil due to the inability of the elders to select a new king.
Reason is that it is rotational between my village and the other village.
My village is now supposed to bring out the next king and my compound has been told to bring out somebody to be crowned as a king.
I never envisaged or dreamt of becoming a king in my life because. (1) My father is still alive. (2)I'm not the most senior in the entire family.
But then,the elders met me last December and told me that the diety in the community has selected me to become the next king and that I have to pick another wife from the community before I will be crowned.
I told them point and blank that the oracle is mistaken due to the reasons I mentioned above but they are not taking it.
Now everyone in my village is against me for refusing the offer and saying I'm doing it be cause I don't want to hurt my wife which is true.
Now my question is,What do I do? Should I damn the consequence and pick another wife and be crowned a king in other to make my community happy or should I forget about the whole idea entirely and allow the community sort themselves out?
I'm confused here. N B. My wife is aware of all this.

Do You know that my brother that works in an oil major goes to work like four rotations in a year instead of 10 rotations. He uses office politics to abscond from work, yet his salary is six digits.
