It's just like when Raypower FM started broadcasting in 1994. busoye19: The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Wednesday said it has concluded plans to drag the radical Islamic group, Boko Haram, before the International Criminal Court.

The doubt however, is how the umbrella body of Christians will pursue the charges against a generally faceless group.

Speaking on Wednesday at the opening of the National Executive Council Meeting of the Association in Awka, the Anambra State capital, CAN President Ayo Oritsejafor, also noted that it was high time the Federal Government pronounced the group a terrorist organisation.

The nation’s Christians’ leader said: “We at CAN are strongly considering pressing charges against the Boko Haram sect for crimes committed against Christians at the International Criminal Cour,t and we will commence soon.”

“The Federal Government should designate the Boko Haram sect as a foreign terrorist group.”

“We will not encourage Christians to carry arms, but we have always called on Christians and the churches to defend and protect themselves. The way the sect is succeeding in its attacks, it is obvious that it is not done yet.”

Oritsejafor who is also the Founder of Word of Life Bible Church, asked Northern Governors to do more in tackling the uprising of the sect.

“We call on the Governors of the 19 Northern states to come together and hold a meeting to know the fate of their people who are being killed in the north.”

“Without the measures put in place by the Southern Governors, there will be reprisal attacks every day. So why shouldn’t the Northern Governors put in the same measures?” Oritsejafor queried.

Jesus christ criticise the religious leaders and general overseers of his time with great passion and anger. You gave the impression that the Malabu thing was mentioned or considered specifically by the Ribadu report when as I have said earlier, there was very little specifics in the report cos it was not a Probe Report in the Ist place. It is you guys that are 'generously' given the report your own connotations and interpretations as you guys so chose. Malabu was not mentioned in the report, period.

By the way, you are very wrong by saying that GEJ 'allocated Malabu il field...'cos he did not; the northern Military rulers did, he only restore it under understandably anger by the Niger Deltans to what they considered the 'sharing' of 'their' oil by Northerners, esp after the uproar that spread through the Niger Delta when Gen Danjuma sold his stakes in his field for $500million and said he didnt know what to do with it. It is possible that the initial allocation of the oil field was less than transparent, but to be making noise abut just Malabu without talking about the fields by Northerners who control more than 90% of the oil fields in someone's backyard is annoying and is politics. If Malabu is on the table (and I have n problem with that), so MUST all the oil fields given at same time time and through same process to these powerful Northerners.

By d way, Malabu was one of d large offshore fields that past Northern leadas gave out to people they considerd close to dem, all of which was given to fellow powerful Northerners who control more than 90% of these large offshores fields situatd in d Niger Delta but gave only one to a Niger Deltan (Etiebet- who was then Pet Min); curiously they later withdrew d license from Etiebet, and GEJ only restord to it cos of d pressure and anger of Niger Deltans, just as Yar'adua restord Danjuma's field afta Obj withdrew it. Now, all of a sudden sm of these people are questioning why d President restord Malabu but are not talking about the oda licenses that Northerners gave themselves in smone's else backyard, and you dont know that it is all politics? Touch Malabu and then demands wud be made to also cancel all d fields held by northerners and that they gave at the same time as they gave Malabu to a Niger Deltan.....

I was in Nigeria some weeks ago, an old friend has made it big,I went to visit him @ his business place,I was highly impressed in how organized he and his businesses are, there is no way a business can be this organized and not be successful, Kudos to him I said.
