i think Unilag does in some courses. MSc Cell biology, MSc Parasitology. etc. Just read their brochure.

Also Unilag accepts HND for Masters in project management (MPM) and
Masters In Business Administration( MBA) provided u passed out with Upper credit or distinction in your HND programme.
Impressive. Never knew this, thanks.

Always wondered why HND lower credit and above from a good school can't do master's straight. Unilag is setting a good standard here. Well done to them.

What did you study at BSc and MSc? Have you done the GRE and TOEFL? Are you fixed on North America or you would like to consider Europe as well?

don't fall for that cheap scam. The Op is a liar
He can't have an EU passport & be contended with 200k in Nigeria.
I am schooling in UK but currently working in Germany & work part time in Daimler & earn 65euro per day which is equal to #32,500
Guy, how did you reach this conclusion? Amazing!!!

There are many people with EU passport, UK education and doing bank work in Nigeria. Some people want to do professional work and are not moved by salary alone. Some people are only concerned about salary and are ready to do any type of work, whether or not it's in Marks and Spencer, Tesco, etc.

Everything different from our views does not have to be a scam..Except of course we epitomise all knowledge. Nobody existing epitomises all knowledge.

Hello nairalanders.

Please your advice is needed here.

I did my Bsc in the UK came back to Nigeria for NYSC and got a job in a new generation bank in Nigeria afterwards. Been working for about 6 years but lately I have been having this urge to move back abroad. My job has become a daily boring routine, hardly any promotion. I just have this feeling that I will do better abroad especially with this recession we are experiencing. If you were in my shoes what will you do.

NB
(My salary is above N200k - I have an EU passport)
Start applying for work abroad whilst retaining your job in Nigeria. Be ready to spend on flight tickets to attend interviews abroad, it's a sacrifice. I don't know the kind of task you do at Zenith, GT etc, but banks like Barclays, JP Morgan, HSBC, Nomura and co will value your experience if it is relevant to what they do. They will also pay you well. With your experience, and if relevant, £40-50K is a fair deal at the minimum. That's good salary, even by UK standards.

If you don't have the time and need someone to help you initiate the job application process, I'm happy to do that..But on the condition that if you have online tests to write, you will do your best to write them. If you have interviews in the UK, you will come in for the interview. And when you get the job, I will get 12% of your salary for one year, i.e. if you get a job of 50K, I will get 6K for the first year. The other option is to bill you on your current pay, but doing that will be mean. I understand the naija hassle.

If interested, you may want to start by sending your CV. A 2:1 will help.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Long Does Recruitment Process Take. by baum1: 11:57am On Sep 24, 2016
odimbannamdi:
Well, it all depends on how pressing and urgent it is to the company for that position to be filled.

There is this thing i do after attending a phase of interview in any company:

I COMPLETELY FORGET ABOUT IT! It aint easy, i must confess, but it takes conscious effort to do so. And I suggest you do so too, bro, to save you from disappointment and help you concentrate on other ventures.

Dont get me wrong. I dont imply that u shouldnt pray about it or keep in touch with your fellow applicants. But just dont dwell on it too much, plus reduce your level of expectancy. Naija recruiters are really something else
Your technique is great and not limited to Nigeria. It's the same in many more advanced countries.

People, this bros strategy is great. If we can imbibe it, good for us.

Read the trash you wrote kid. You have no business being in a place when you feel you're being limited rather than stay put earning fat salary while you're doing nothing. No one but yourself can prevent you from excelling. Failures always find excuses while they fail. they heap the blame on everyone but themselves.

My friend, bury your head in shame and accept the fact that your local champion ineffectual buffoon failed woefully. It is a shame really that Nigeria had so much coming in as revenue and your NOI with her fellow co-looters wacked everything in the cookie jar. It's pathetic that a person of her pedigree couldn't supervise an oil boom.

The governors were right to demand for their share when they knew that if they hadn't demanded for it, it would have found its way as usual into the hands of Alibaba and the forty thieves.

What happened to the FG's share (51 percent)? Where did it go to? Of course you know where.

P. S:
FYI: NOI did zilch. With that oil price(110 dollars to a barrel), Nigeria economy was on auto pilot. Everything fell in place!
It took a plummeting oil price to expose the carelessness and ineptitude of your local champion.
Bros, the highlighted interested me. Are you saying some of the governors were right to have opposed vehemently opposed the creation and expansion of the Sovereign Wealth Funds?

Not at all! I've started something on this part but you've gotta read wide and be extra workaholic to make a 1st class B.Ed Math in my school. A record I intend to shatter.
Good luck with your plan. Just don't go too wide.

Ask those who came close what they would have done if they were to start all over again.

BEd is tough. Take courses from science and then take from education, not easy.

When you achieve your aim, send me an email again. With a first class in math edu, and the help of the Lord, I can place you into a university of your choice. Think Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, MIT. And yes, I mean it.

So, go fight like a lion and achieve your goals.

Dear edulanders, lol!

I'm currently running a B.Ed Math program in a Nigerian University with the aim of making a first class. I'm in my first year and currently preparing for 2nd semester resumption.

I'd appreciate if someone could help me with textbooks (both online and printed) to help me prepare for my 2nd semester.

Eep me please....

My 2nd semester courses are:

1. Edu 111- Foundations of Education
2. Edu 122- Developmental Psychology
3. Edu 152- Introduction to Educational Technology
4. STA 132- Inference

Others are:

MTH 102- Elementary Mathematics II
MTH 103- Elementary Mathematics III

I can handle the GSTs

Thanks in anticipation!

cc fynestboy

This might sound counter intuitive but my advice for you is to get past notes and past questions from those who graduated before you and from those who took the courses you will be taking and taught by the same professors. In my view, and if you depend on your grade to advance your career, it is better to get the best grades while at school and widen understanding later..Though sometimes both can be achieved but it's not so common. Even the top schools in the world judge you first on the basis of your grades before they admit you to see what you can actually do. I know my position might be debated and I accept that different people have different views and experiences, but bro, na wisdom of many years I dey dish out for you so.

Good luck

Hello Jarus, good question. I want to work directly with the ones that have a better chance. I give Nairaland intermittent breaks and might not have the time to respond to all questions asked here..But surely, I check my email and will respond to anyone that sends me a message.

Regarding the advert I placed earlier for people with BSc + MSc, I am yet to get responses from people that have both qualifications. I have been getting emails from people with BSc degrees but without MSc. However, the opportunity is a PhD opportunity and thus requires both.

I just wanted to remind you that the requirements are BSc and MSc, not BSc alone.

For those with a BSc but no MSc, you will need to have some money to support the part payment of your tuition fees and living expenses. If you have this money, then you can contact me and I will suggest some cheap schools.
