The Swedes should not be underated, Mikel should revert to his position in front of defense. We need to beat Sweden and hope Japan beats Colombia.
Yes, we should not take anything for granted...But we go beat them.

Head coach does not mean Salisu runs the affairs of the team. Bonfere Jo was the technical adviser and Coach Musa Abdullahi was the coach. Yet, Bonfere Jo was the Boss.
Didn' know this, you might be right...But I think Bonfere appeared to have had more say because he had been there since the days of Westerhof.

I'm beginning to hate this life it's so cruel and unbalanced. The more you work the more poorer you become. Some people will just die without tasting some of these good things of life. $

Life is so unfair embarassed

*walks out of thread...
And for people that tasted the good things of life, what will become of them afterwards? Any difference between them and those that did not have the same 'good things of life'...

No point hating the life. If you're in good health and can pay your bills and all, be contented, be happy and continue to work hard, do your best. One day, something will happen..

And I disagree with you that the more you work, the poorer you become..At least, this is not applicable to me. If you had mentioned hard work mixed with some measure of luck guarantees success, I'd have agreed with you. That someone's hard work hasn't paid off doesn't mean it's not going to pay off someday. From what I have seen, hard work still pays. One day, one day, it will shele, it will happen.

Anyway, this is the way I view life

Just excited for this Musa guy.

victree007:
Hello everyone, My name is Victory and I don't know how to tell you this or what format to follow

On 31st May this year, a day after my birthday, I resigned from a mining company where I was working in Jos because working terms and conditions no longer gave me what I wanted in a job coupled with the fact that I was fed up with ONE MAN BUSINESS and promised myself not to work with any again.

Immediately I got home that day, I was excited to receive a mail inviting me for an interview with a multinational organization. To cut the long story short, I ended up doing interviews with three different companies within two weeks in Lagos and I resumed with one of them just last week.
Where I am now the pay is 100k per month for my position, accommodation, staff bus to and fro work daily with no other benefits for now, it is a one man business that is just starting up in Abeokuta and I am enjoying working with the company though the job is tasking and demanding but I am learning daily...

Just yesterday, one of the three companies called for me to resume this Friday in Lagos...Please find some benefits that come with the position below as I was told during the interview and from a source within the firm. Though the start up pay is half what I am getting in Abeokuta;
1. PENSION
2. INSURANCE
3. 13TH MONTH
4. TRAINING AND RETRAINING
5. CAREER GROWTH
6. JOB SECURITY
7. EXPOSURE
ABOVE ALL, IT IS A MULTINATIONAL ORGANIZATION

Now I have between now and tomorrow Thursday to either resign in Abeokuta or reject the offer in Lagos
Please I would like for moderators to help move this post to where it can be seen quickly for advise, thank you
Congrats bro on these offers

Very bad, to be honest, she will locate you for either friendship sake if she move on and not regret but if she eventually regret, she will come back begging, I don't just become born2fuck in a day, I got heartbroken of my life in 2006 , I was still fighting for jamb success and because of this girl, I couldn't enrolled myself in university back then ,I wasn't serious at all. after heart break, I rushed into part time without mercy , 2008 I found a girl in LASU, beautiful 2006 till late I found the girl, I have started smoking, drinking, attending ashewo joints and clubbing, that's how I almost wreck my life. I am glad today despite she let me become a beast to other women, I still kept the girl I met in 2008 early till date, she has a daughter and we are cool in my own house, like I said, not rented. Still in my early 30th but to be frankly speaking, I have my ex in facebook, we chatted once a while then I chose to ignored and change my number, she demanded we see but I refused, just imagine, someone who left in 2006 wanting a reunion at least in 2015, someone women go no shame, I asked you never married? Like my bad mouth, she said, she has been getting play and no serious, even though me never go court go shot I wed, I have been living with my woman and a daughter of 4 yrs old, I finally put an end to smoking, and drinking 2 months ago and over 2 yrs, I quit clubbing and ashawo joint, I was in church recently which I have long miss.
This is not just a story, she will come back one day, she will poke on every of your activites but you get yourself a better life, this is a challenge to gather, my broken relationship help me face business and school and the new girl arrival wasn't the demanding type. Never knew my ex have been monitoring all, she broke with different men, the funniest she demanded a night but I ignored, I rather go sleep with prostuites than sleep with ex, gather yourself, move on, don't seek a girl, challenge your future, you never buy land, you never buy car, build house, Rome wasn't build in day,its look hard but easy to do when single, start up plans before any devil comes in again, most of these women are devil.
Bro, great story..I want to encourage that you continue the church going and allow the genuine word of God to complete the amazing transformation which has already begun in you..

You will testify fully, amen.

Cheers

Hey guys, it is not good to treat people nicely just because you dont know what they will turn up tomorrow. Rather treat people nicely with respect because they are HUMAN BEIGNS just like you, they have emotions, challenges, dignity, faults, needs, feel pain and desire love just like you. It doesn't matter if they will turn out to be the dangote's of this world or the shoe repairers of this world, we are all human beings and no matter how rich, influential and educated you turn out to be just remember that you are not more human than the next person by your side even if he/she is a shoe shinner. We were all made from dust and will all return to dust if Christ tarries, so why should dust feel more important than a fellow dust. #myopinion.
Guy, you viewed it from a more general perspective..Nice one, thanks..

What others have said is a subset of your generalised view, and they are not wrong.

Well done for your view!!

Nothing comes by lucks, the guy must have been dreaming about it and working hard toward his dream. Be positive dreams come true but not easily, Naijabet man say so
Guy I have a divergent opinion.Even the most hard working people got their chance/breakthrough by luck. There are many more hardworking people who haven't gotten the required breakthroughs..In every success, hard work is important, but relegating luck is undermining the position it plays.

I still can't believe portugal used this time to win.
Guy, I agree their time has come..But I'm sure of the ego clash thingy.. In the last 2 euros that they have played together, they played very well..In fact, they were knocked out by luck in 2012 against spain in the semis on penarities..They have frequented the semis and finals and indeed their time has come

It's been a good weekend. My favorite sportsmen won this evening - First Murray and Now Ronaldo.

Lessons:

1) It's not how you start that matters but how you end.

2) When it's your time everything would conspire in your favour. Imagine Spain, Italy, Germany and France in the same half of the draw and Djokovic and Federer crashing out to lesser players.

3) Be prepared so when the opportunity comes you'd be in position to take advantage of it
True deductions. Thank you bro.

I don't know if you are serious or not, but I have been thinking of doing something like this come first of January. It would be nice if we, and by we, i mean people who are not rich but can help students in Nigeria with small stipends to sustain them in school. I am thinking of giving one deserving student, no older than 22, 50 to a 100 dollars a month for a year, every year. Problem is the selection process. What do you think?
In fact Banmee, it appears many people think the same thing simultaneously.. I have been thinking of doing this same thing that you have proposed..

I think the issue will be in selecting students who are bright and indigent..Getting bright students is not hard..Their universities can always be contacted to verify results..The problem is being able to decipher the students that are actually indigent and who would value this gesture..It's good to be bright and rich students, but such gesture shouldn't be for this set of students...

Hopefully, this second part will be solved via suggestions..

For the selection process, this can be done in different ways. One way is to administer an online or offline aptitude tests/exams on students who satisfy the bright and indigent criteria.

These people are definitely brilliant. While I don't mean to be cynical, I'd like to say that the Nigerian orientation towards job creation is faulty. We need to arise from our educational dogma which clearly pits us as job seekers, rather than job creators. Although some of them didn't attend Nigerian Universities but I won't revere their achievements if they don't solve part of world's problems, e.g. creating jobs for Nigerians.

Imagine this proposition: every Nigerian graduate with good grades, say 4.0 or above, should create 50 or more jobs as early as 7-8 years after graduating...
A PhD trains people to do research and contribution originally to existing knowledge-base or even create a brand new knowledge..I agree that a PhD can do a research that will proffer pieces of advice that if implemented will create jobs but the people whose achievements are being celebrated here are not PhD in Entrepreneur or HR or the likes..

I can bet with buhari's next trip that this girl is the daughter of one of Nigeria's minister..

No pun intended but I begin to wonder how her parents are gon sponsor her education..

Mind you, she's not on scholarship and those schools cost a fortune..

Before you bash me, reason am twice if your parents can afford to send you to havard.. $40k per academic session..

Even buhari had to sell his house.. (Though I don't believe it until I see pictures)..

She don cast her parents.. EFCC go begin find them now.. Happy for her though..

My kind of future wife..
Getting into an ivy league university is first dependent on a student's all round except performances, not the ability to pay...Getting into three ivy league universities is no small achievement..It's huge and comes with having performed exceptionally well academically and also in extra-curricular activities...This girl is outstanding and I wish her all the best..

There are credit providers like banks and others that are willing to provide student loans, so an exceptionally brilliant child does not have to be the daughter or son of a politician or business mogul before he/she can attend an Ivy League.
