Drop your fictitious book (bible) and visit a science class for a change!
Contrary to your view, Christianity is one thing, science is another. They are not substitutes. There are some of the soundest scientists today who are strong believers. It's never either or..

Though you may not want to change your views or may even argue this, that's alright..But it does not change the empirical reality.

Fun ke I think it's greed
Thinking you can actually have the cake and eat it

Please it makes sense as a single man but when you are passed a certain age and have kids you need to apply discipline because your kids are watching you and will follow the same path

belittle and cheat on their mother and one day they will wake up and do the same thing to others because you are their first loving example of how they should love

There is PlayStation 4 even virtual reality enough fun and games

Those who cheat are wicked not fun

I remember when i did... I cried from beginning to end and never did it again was bold enough up until the reality set in I was betraying love
Madam, whether as a single or married man, it doesn't make sense. Take note. And in doing the right thing, an unmarried person is not supposed to be having sex. What is wrong is wrong, whether or not one falls into the temptation.

It's always good to provide another view so that some people reading posts like these will not go and start thinking some wrong things are correct.

If U Dont Have A Good Marriage, others do. and let me warn u. STAY AWAY FROM MY COMMENTS. DO NOT QUOTE ME AGAIN IN UR ENTIRE LIFE. AM NOT HERE U. PLS.
Madam, that's the issue. People keep believing all marriages are bad when in fact many marriages are still great and participants respect their vows 101%. Many think or say this so as to justify their continuous fall for the temptation of extra-marital affairs. No one is saying there won't be temptations, but our major goal should be to overcome the temptations, not trying to justify falling into the temptations. Unfortunately, this is how many, not all, people think.

For me sha, what I beg God for every day is the skill and strength to overcome life's temptations. Only Him can give this.

He never checked her phone but that is what she does first when she comes around. The babe started disturbing him to come and do intro, so when she came around, something just told him to snoop on the phone, to be sure of who he is about making decision to settle with. Lo and behold, if it was just chat, it is better, he found voice notes of his babe describing how she gave another guy mouth action, and another voice note asking the guy if he enjoyed it. He almost ran mad. He kept saying this na babe wey dey do all good girl with me. Always forming saint.

I'm not saying he is cheating o.. there's a probability he might

I remember a guy who brought his kids to a joint I was some months back, his wife came to pick the kids while he left to get some items. you need to see the love, the air of comfort and their lovely boys.. very nice family

fast forward to like 2 hours later, I met this same guy at a mall with his side babe cuddling and all..
then I gave up
No need to give up man. Many faithful men exist in this world. As God told Elijah, there are still hundreds of prophets that have not bowed to baal..Not all men have given in or will ever give in to temptations which by the way must surely come.

Bro, those Chinese clubs, some of them can be dubious..And I believe oga Mikel knows this and has heard from former colleagues..Did you know, as I read, that some of those clubs will promise big money, then if the player comes and later begins to underperform, which at some point will happen to a player, stories about wages will begin to crop up. I was shocked when I read about this, can't remember where again. But there are related info on the internet. Didier Drogba and Seydou Keita are easy examples of guys promised big wages only for the clubs to start telling stories, as I heard.

Oga Mikel knows this..

And No, education is not losing its relevance. I am afraid for these youths. The trend I see on nairaland is not cool, in my view, and as someone who has been around perhaps longer than some of you, I think I need say one or two things.

Education does not promise you billions. If you want to become a billionaire, learn a trade or exploit any perceived talents you think you have...Education does not necessarily make people wealthy. In the history of wealthy people, very few have a fantastic education. You are comparing apples and agbo as I said to one of your contemporaries that hold the same view as you.

I always tell people that my kids will play football, but tah, that does not and will not stop them from getting an education. Both are not substitutes.. Both can be achieved, albeit at different times

Mikel is in a lucrative industry that requires raw skills and honed talents to excel and he is excelling big time and earning the bucks that are obtainable in the industry. The football industry does not require a WAEC certificate. Just get skills and be lucky and go far and make big bucks.

If one goes by the arguments some of you are giving, it means we should be dissing established and rich footballers and other sportsmen/women because they cannot solve the second order quantum mechanics in physics.

I just tire for those equating academic rewards to football rewards..Do you think many of these players would have gone very far if the same PhD people some of you are dissing have not done proper research to come up with the right diet, exercise and all to enhance their football capabilities..

Exactly. And I think Kemi doesn't have that kind of experience needed to be a finance minister just yet.
No, not exactly. The point is that if you get someone whom you think can do a job, there will always be someone more qualified somewhere. Sometimes the loop is never ending. Mrs Kemi is not unqualified to do the job of a finance minister based on the track records of some other finance ministers across the globe that I have read about. Whether she is doing the job well is another discussion. You can put a PhD Econs/Finance from MIT in her current role and if the current circumstances hold sway, that PhD person will under perform.

If you have 5 credits, I mean five C6, does that mean you are less qualified to enter a Nigerian university than someone with 9 A1's? The criterion for holding an office is the ultimate determinant of whether or not a person holding that office is qualified, not some open ended subjective opinions..Subjectivity has no end...They call it normative view.

Lol, this is similar to an argument I gave my guy last year..The guy wanted to get a PhD in finance to get high a position in finance, lol. Fair enough, sha. When I told him that many of those high finance jobs are overseen by people with BSc, he debated, until I showed him proofs. These are the people that the PhD efikos from name the university report to, loool. Does it mean these 'less educated ogas' are not qualified enough for their positions? You definitely know that is not true, otherwise they would have long been fired.

Anyway, I suspect you get my drift, though I won't expect you to agree with me. Having you strong opinion is fine..Reality however can sometimes be different from our opinions..

The guy dey voice IMF and World Bank because dem sound big. Reaching a top level at PWC is impressive. One does not have to have worked for IMF or WB to be a successful finance minister. The head of the world bank the poster is referring to is not even a finance/economics person. The other one, IMF, the head was a minister of trade in France and then something else before being appointed to head the IMF. Before the ministerial stints, she worked for a Law firm. As in a lawyer. Why do I say all these? To drive home the point that one does not need to have worked for 'IMF' and 'WB' to be qualified enough to be finance minister..

In my view, Madam Kemi is not unqualified to hold that office. I cannot begin to name many successful finance ministers around the world who either have the kind of training that Kemi had or do not even come close.. Contrary to the popular opinions, someone does not have to be a former IMF or WB or OECD worker with a fancy PhD in Economics/Finance to be a successful finance minister. Afterall, the role of a finance minister is not primarily a rigorous research role..

Anyway, I know some younger ones won't agree or want to learn. They have their opinions, lol, which is cool. But I just wanted to clearly state the above for those open to new ideas to see things from another perspective.

It isn't really about the products of the Uni not being considered good enough British employers, it has more to do with the fact that the Unis at the bottom are mostly new Unis that uses to be polytechnics and they haven't been able to build the type of trust employers can vouch for. And most of them are still growing, hence they always different campuses scattered everywhere. While the ones at the top are old red brick universities employers can trust. The disparity is well outlined once you look at the names of the Unis on both lists (my alma mater is on the best list lol).

Also, in the U.K, Unis are also graded per department basis. Overall, UEL might be graded as the worst Uni but might be one of the best when it comes to Accounting. However, this won't be accounted for when you start judging it on overall basis.

Anyway, the fact that she was able to get into PwC and get to the top, despite being a product of UEL, is the most important thing here due to how competitive it's and the institutionalised racism prevalent at some of these top-tier companies. You either have to be from a solid and well connected background, attend oxbridge and a private/grammar school, or have an established career, to get into some of them. The Guardian UK newspaper is a classic example because I believe about 90% of their employees attended Oxbridge.

She has done well for herself. You had a pig who attended Harvard and MIT that failed woefully. But even without a free hand to operate - you can see that Kemi is very bright with good intentions. So, name and pedigree of institution are irrelevant here - the ability to do the job is the most important thing. Some of the smartest folks never attended the best Uni because they're late bloomers and they discovered their method of assimilation and regurgitation, which formal education is about quite late. However, that hasn't stopped them from being some of the most astute problem solvers ever.

Let me use a yank example since a lot of you are Anericophile: George Bush attended Yale University while Ronald Reagan barely had formal higher education but we all know who was the better of the two. The latter is seen as one of the greatest presidents the US ever had, while the former would have to be one of the dumbest leaders ever lol. That should tell you all you need to know.
Your post has explained it exhaustively..I had not seen it when I posted a similar but shorter response to him. I believe the statement was made out of a pure heart and hope the post has provided a good insight.

Hope you get my drift?
In life, there will always be people that are more this and more that..That does not mean that the people who are less this and less that are not qualified to do a job.

There's a reason those school's products are not considered good enough by British employers. There's equally a reason most British leaders are Oxford trained. I won't say a lot about Kemi but it appears she is not allowed free hand to operate. It was alleged the permanent secretary in the ministry was never a civil servant but brought in from one of the northern states. This could be the one trusted. Judging her may be harsh in the circumstances. Even then, which school did other appointees attend? It's all a mess. And a very long way for Nigeria. #Stillgroping
That a school has low employment stats does not mean its products are not good enough. Many people that attended former polytechnics in the UK are still being haunted by the problem of perception. This has nothing to do with their quality. And with the few opportunities available even in the UK, the situation becomes much worse. Time and time again, given a choice, employers would prefer to hire someone of the same quality who attended a big name school than someone who attended a no name school, much less a school that only became a university few years ago.

young lady look here, what mimzy is saying shows alot of maturity and common sense,if a lady goes to see her boyfriend and she allows him to have sex whenever she visit him even when he has not paid her bride price now what should now be the big deal in the regular cooking whenever she visits him??if the regular cooking For him as a girlfriend is wrong then also it is wrong to continue having sex with you like a wife that he has paid bride price on??......?sex is mutual understanding you claimed and yes !!cooking is same too because i do not think any sane guy will put knife on your neck if you do not cook for him,by the way the food you are cooking ,you sef can /will eat out of it so you are also cooking for yourself too,it is not big deal...if the regularly cooking for someone you are not married to is wrong or downgrading then Same way sex with the person you are not married too should be wrong based on your "big deal in the regular cooking"....if you are someone that you are in a "no sex" relationship and you tell me "regular cooking to someone you are not married to is somehow wrong then i would totally agree with you...but if it is otherwise then it is a stark hypocrisy.....even one of your comments you mentioned something like what if she cooks everything she can cook for him while dating then what will happen when they finally get married when he is already used to all her cooking already before the marriage, well the same thing applies to the sex,he is already eating the food between her legs already even before they got married...so they are all the same thing.do u even know that many ladies do even prefer cooking the food she will eat out of it because she does not want to eat a food that will be cooked by her boyfriend and might not be sweet or satisfying enough so she prefers to cook the food herself....what determines a good marriage is beyond rules....
This! Thanks.

Finally, I can see that to a number of people sharing the most private parts of their bodies with someone who isn't their spouse is very trivial and really nothing if cooking is hyped this way. Na wah ooh.
