Love u'all

@LannisterImp! What re u up 2? U'r d only one I knw here.
You are still better off getting those shows from the internet because chances are what you buy will be incomplete as many DVD sellers these days copy incomplete seasons so they can make more money selling the many parts. Download from the web and save on a HDD or flash drive, with that you can easily watch on your TV regardless of the size by connecting the drive to the TV's USB port. Very simple. That's what peeps have been doing since way back, heck, people like me don't have use for DVD players anymore. cheesy

tapingil: House of cards S2 is getting annoying, the Underwoods feeling godlike..jus like everybody is unda their feet, even innocent Christina, they want to take her down.. Its jus annoying, shey na only them?
The ultimate thrill of the show will be in watching the Underwoods burn in the end. How it will happen I don't know especially as they are mowing down anyone they perceive to be an obstacle. With that said you have to agree that it is a very well written show; the dialogues, the acting, the plot all well written.

ComputersRe: Challenge I Face On My Surface Pro Running Windows 8.1 by Bawss1(m): 5:43pm On Aug 23, 2014
Is your Surface running Win 8 RT (Surface RT)? If so you can only install programs from the Windows store, that's a huge bummer. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy an RT device.

Jailbreaking may be possible but know that it comes with certain risks.
ComputersRe: Windows 7 Vs Windows 8 by Bawss1(m): 5:26pm On Aug 23, 2014
Please it is very incorrect to say Win 8 doesn't support Autocad and the likes. First of all an ancient version of autocad will not work on any recent Windows OS. For the 2014 version you need to follow some minor steps to get it to work like

1. Fresh install of 8.1 x64 (not upgrade).
2. In Windows Control Panel 'Programs and Features' uninstall 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable'
3. Download and Install .Net 3.5 Framework for 8.1  (right click run as admin) file = dotNetFx35_W8.1_x64.exe

(The 2015 version works on Win8.1 without any need for the steps above.)

There are people using autocad on win8/8.1 computers. How do you think they manage it.

undecided

It's not necessary to jump on Win 8, it's predecessor win 7 is still a very capable OS and for many people it meets their needs just fine. What I think is misleading is when people don't know how to do certain things and then they make blanket statements like Win 8 not being able to work just as well as Win 7.

greaterlove: I share the same opinion, hate how some characters die, it comes without warning, maybe that's what makes the game of thrones thick, its unpredictability is second to none.
I think that image of Obama on the iron throne is photoshoped.
Definitely photoshopped.

Finally a thread from the games section gets front page attention. This section is a shadow of its former self, can't blame anyone when the bulk of Nairalanders have Android (Tecno) phones as their sole gaming devices.

Haven't played this game myself but its been highly recommended by friends of mine.

Finally finished watching all five seasons of The Wire. The final season was really interesting but I found certain aspects rather unsatisfying - the Greek remained untouched in the end, Carcetti the mayor wasn't the city saviour he painted himself to be in the beginning, Omar was taken out by a kid angry and Marlow walked with all his money in tact. Anyway I realise that the writers and producers wanted a show that was as realistic as possible and in the real world evil is not always defeated by good, at least not immediately. The show has left me with a certain sense of disdain for black Americans in the projects, they seem to dig themselves deeper into the hole that the system has dug for them. All that gangster and drug ish that are ultimately destructive seem to be all that they concern themselves with.

In all it was a really nice show sans the "adult" scenes that HBO throws into its shows.

Winterfell is the seat of House Stark. It is a large castle located at the center of the North, from where the head of House Stark rules over his people. It is the capital of the North. The castle is located alongside the Kingsroad as it makes its way from the Wall to the capital at King’s Landing, more than a thousand miles to the South. It is situated atop hot springs which keep the castle warm even in the worst winters. Winding tombs below the castle contain the remains of Stark kings and lords and record the history of the ancient family. The castle has stood for millennia

The Eyrie is the principal stronghold of House Arryn. It is located in the Vale of Arryn near the east coast of Westeros. The Eyrie straddles the top of a peak in the Mountains of the Moon several thousand feet above the valley floor below. It is approached by a narrow causeway and road. Those who would approach the Eyrie must pass through three way-castles guarding the ascent - and then, must proceed in single file, making them very vulnerable to archers. For these reasons, the Eyrie is considered impregnable to any attack that does not involve dragons.

Sunspear is the ancient stronghold of House Martell and the capital of Dorne. It is located on the far south-eastern coast of Westeros and is surrounded on three sides by the sea.

Storm's End is the seat of House Baratheon along Shipbreaker Bay in the Stormlands. One of the strongest castles in the Seven Kingdoms, it was once the ancestral seat of the Storm Kings of House Durrandon extending back many thousands of years. Storm's End consists of a massive curtain wall surrounding a single immense drum tower. Unlike many other castles, which consist of a complex of different buildings, Storm's End is entirely contained within one large building. This is due to the immense storms that frequently batter the castle.

Here's some more photos. This one is Riverrun

Riverrun is the ancestral castle of House Tully, held by them for over a thousand years. The castle sits along the river road, which links Lannisport and the crossroads. Riverrun is a strong three-sided castle, although not especially large. In times of danger, sluice gates can be opened to flood a channel cut to the west of the castle, turning Riverrun into an island. Its walls rise sheer from the waters and its towers command the opposite shores, making assaulting it almost impossible without huge casualties

^ Is your copy of Win 8 genuine? I'm guessing not, there are elements of risk in using a pirated OS, that blank screen might be one of such risks.

Harrenhall is the largest castle in the Seven Kingdoms and is the seat of House Whent in the Riverlands, on the north shore of the Gods Eye Lake. Since the war of the Conquest it has become a dark and ruinous place. The castle has five towers of dizzying size with equally monstrous curtain walls. The walls are incredibly thick and it's rooms are built on a scale that would be more comfortable for giants than humans. The castles holdings are some of the richest in Westeros claiming vast tracts of green fertile land. Harrenhall covers three times as much ground as Winterfell and it's buildings are much larger that they can scarcely be compared.

Casterly Rock. This is the ancestral stronghold of House Lannister and is located on the western coast of Westeros on a rocky promontory overlooking the Sunset Sea. It overlooks the major city of Lannisport. A major gold mine is located under Casterly Rock. It is one of the most productive in the realm and provides House Lannister with their wealth.

The Twins sometimes known as The Crossing is the seat of the House of Frey in the Northern Riverlands. It is a fortified crossing of the Green Fork over the Trident and consist of two identical castles and a tower in the middle of the bridge. The Twins represents the only crossing point over the Green Fork for hundreds of miles in either direction. It is a major barrier to travellers and merchants travelling to the North and the Western Riverlands. The Freys grew wealthy by charging passing travellers for the use of the Crossing. Given their strategic location, strong castle, wealth and numbers the Freys are one of the most powerful banner houses sworn to House Tully
