Some people just hate Win 8 for no good reason.

mazizitonene: hian! Na advice abi na quarrel ??....na advice I ask for.....anyways, tanx 4 d info, but their arguement is that windows 7 support more/ a higher variety of programs/softwares than windows 8..that there are some useful program that won't run/function well on windows 8 but work perfectly on 7...is this true ?
Oga the line in bold is very untrue!

Tell them to mention one program that doesn't run well on Win 8 but works just fine on Win 7, just one.

BusinessRe: We’ve Not Reintroduced ATM Charges —CBN by Bawss1(m): 8:23am On Aug 15, 2014
lat4real: CBN is still saying the same thing but with better explanation this time. You can withdraw thrice in a month without being charged, but your subsequent withdrawal will attract N65 charges.
Na wa o. Where did the article say anything about withdrawing thrice a month?

***

The first three withdrawals in one day from an ATM that isn't from your bank will not be charged but from the fourth you will be charged N65.

JadeWilliam: Some hot black guys in The Wire. I hav a crazy crush on Weybey (Hope my husbnd doesn't eva discover nairaland 2read dis grin grin) then Stringer Bell- Idri Elba (OMG!!).I so so adore dat one too.
The Wire dvd is d only series I borrowed out&had 2go rebuy it just 2hav it in my dvd collection #No3OnMyListOfBestSeriesEver
#MyNo1Wil4EvaBTheSopranoes
Currently in season 4 of The Wire.

So The Greek got away in season 2? That was unsatisfying, was hoping they would nab him. I didn't like that Stringer "gat got", he was shaping up to be a real brainy crime lord unlike that thug Avon who was mainly concerned about street cred and all that gangsta stuff.

Anyways it's a really nice show and it sheds light on the deprave mode of life in the projects. Poor black people are finished!

CNN has since announced that they made a mistake with the map. Nobody is mentioning that part.

Of course this will not stop those who maintain that CNN feeds the world with lies, they will forever use this as an example.
ComputersRe: You’ve Been Hacked! Here’s What To Do by Bawss1(m): 8:05am On Aug 08, 2014
^ It's not like Microsoft said, hey lets make an operating system with back doors so that user data can be stolen. Lol. There is no foolproof or hack proof OS and I can bet that there will never be one. Windows gets a lot of attention from the hacking community because of its popularity, if OSX or Linux were as ubiquitous as Windows they'd feel the heat too.

The tips outlined by the OP are very helpful, common sense can reduce the incidence and impact of hack attacks.

MTN is racing to the bottom with their horrible horrible service! For the past 2 weeks calls and data services in most parts of the FCT have been absolutely horrible. I think that their staff should be flogged for this nonsense!

Burger01: Tell me one commendable medical breakthrough Nigeria has attained in the research and cure for communicable diseases. i'm here to learn. Thanks.
None!

Which makes it all the more surprising that some Nigerians will come here and start talking down or telling lies about another country that is making efforts to put these diseases in check.
HealthRe: Secret Serum Likely Saved Ebola Patients, CNN by Bawss1(m): 12:27pm On Aug 05, 2014
Burger01: I'm sure the US has cure for HIV. Have always been saying this. If they could come up with serum for Ebola within few days of this epidemic why won't they have cure for HIV? Point is HIV is less dangerous than Ebola when managed properly, plus patients can live normally and even more healthier than peeps who are not on ART.
If they can't release cure for these communicable diseases they should, at the very least, come up with inoculations.. sad
Unbelievable! Where do you derive the effontry to demand how the US should go about dealing with these diseases? I won't even pay attention to the first part of your post and the ridiculous claims it contains.

With people like this there is no hope for Nigeria.

jamst: it is people like you am waiting for,cos your purpose is to attack anyone that speak the truth...am ready 4 u
Where is the truth in all you have been saying?

You people just spread FUD everywhere: America is out to wipe out Africa, AIDS and Ebola were developed by the CIA and all such similar sounding rubbish. Not one of such ridiculous claims are backed by verifiable evidence, all of them are absolute conspiracies.

Only the gullible will fall such attempts.
HealthRe: Secret Serum Likely Saved Ebola Patients, CNN by Bawss1(m): 11:12am On Aug 05, 2014
suwailad: I believe the american doctors tested the virus on themselves and were expecting the serum (vaccine) but the stuff got too fast.well it will make much sense for america, they got the secret serum, more prestige, more power. The most evil thing that can happen is for someone to become a biological terrorist and attack usa with a deadly modified ebola. America is evil.
You are not smart are you?
HealthRe: American Ebola Patients Saved With A "Secret Serum" by Bawss1(m):
gbishman: how are we not sure the west simply came down to Africa to try out this experimental drug, because come to think of it all this happening are just to coincidental. A plague hit Africa and kills hundreds, the west send volunteer doctors down to check and monitor the strain, they too get infected and days later an experimental and miraculous drug is developed and two of their doctors are cure in the US.
truelly speaking all this all sound like a whole bullshit, if the west have a drug that the claim cures ebola then it should be made available to victims.
Our government has failed us! Basic primary education is a sham! More and more people are failing in simple tasks like reading and comprehension! Case in point is the post above.

The poster failed to understand that the drug ZMapp had been under development for quite sometime - nowhere was it stated that the drug was suddenly developed.
The poster also fails to realise that the patients who were administered with the drug have not been declared cured or free of Ebola, they are showing impressive signs of recovery but are not out of the woods yet! This distinction eludes him.

There are possibly dozens if not hundreds of drugs that are still in the experimental phase in many pharmaceutical companies and they are not cleared for public use. It is only after years of successful trials and tests that they are made available to the public. Sometimes as was the case with ZMapp some of these trial drugs are used on compassionate grounds... All of this would have been gleaned by the poster IF he/she had a modicum of appreciation of the scientific process, heck anyone who reads (and understands!) widely would have easily understood the dynamics of this situation.

Enough of these conspiracies!
HealthRe: American Ebola Patients Saved With A "Secret Serum" by Bawss1(m): 10:12am On Aug 05, 2014
UncannyGenius: I'm very sure that the American scientists working for CIA are responsible for the Ebola disease, they invented. They had the cure in case Ebola backfires on them. Their aim is to reduce the population of Africans.
You must be joking. What good will reducing the population of Africans bring to the US? Oh wait, so that they can have all our natural resources right?

It is shocking that seemingly well articulated people like yourself will subscribe to such inane theories, is it because it is better to play the victim and not make use of your own cognitive abilities? Why must your narratives involve a hapless Africa suffering under the USA or CIA? Of course there is usually never any concrete evidence for such claims and never mind the fact that it ends up presenting Africans as unintelligent people.

If you had even a slight appreciation for biology or science in general you would never allow yourself to be involved with these kinds of ridiculous claims.

Nairalanders please let us stop these shameful display of silliness on the interwebs.

That post made sense to you? One shudders to think how your brain works.
HealthRe: American Ebola Patients Saved With A "Secret Serum" by Bawss1(m): 8:11am On Aug 05, 2014
It is shameful that Nairaland is becoming a haven for conspiracy theories. It appears more and more people refuse to employ their brains instead they happily rely on the sad souls that always blame the US/CIA for all the world's evils. With these people common sense must be discarded as long as it doesn't support the narrative that the US is out to decimate the black man. That is the only explanation that gives room to all these nonsensical theories from people who have not the least understanding of science or virology... Yet they proffer to spew their crazy talk as though they are experts on the matter.

It is either that such people live very sad lives and so look for excitement by spinning these theories or they are on the verge of losing their marbles. A terrible condition indeed.

sholay2011: Vee- Terrible, manipulative and cold-hearted woman, the perfect recipe to hate the character (if not careful sef, the actress grin), but I'm a sucker for solid acting and memorable, superbly-written characters, irrespective of whether they are villains or protagonists.

.
While the Vee character was well done she didn't strike me as very memorable or outstanding for a villain/antagonist. Just a regular tv series meanie, no where near the greats like Joffery in Game of Thrones or Frank Underwood in House of Cards.

Although she is a minor character Poussey is my favourite character. Chapman is caught up in all her white girl issues - I don't like her. (even though her surprise face is very funny)

It seems most of the comments here are from people who know only the Marvel characters from the movies and not the more detailed comics. A pity.
