The mods should ban posts of lunatics who spread nonesense here about Ebola and HIV not being real. @topic. This report does nothing to prove that the "vaccine" works. The court's decision doesnt say this is a sure cure of HIV. This is a matter of science, and it's claims can certainly be proven if true. The doctor, if he is sincere and confident of his work, should provide verifiable evidence of its efficacy. There are set procedures for this and any scientist who wants to be taken seriously knows to follow the set rules. |
I know I said I would wait till the season was over before I started watching Gotham but somehow I started watching it last week. For a show based on DC Comics characters I must say its not bad at all. |
Black people. SMH But that slap must have stung though. |
The correct term is LIVE not LIFE. |
Newton8:FUD. The fee had been in place way before the facebook acquisition. Just pay for the service or switch to the free alternatives, no need for this embarrassing panic attack. |
Back in primary school someone introduced me to Enid Blyton's books; I read all of her books that came my way like the Famous Five and Secret Seven series. I loved those books. A few years later, in early secondary school, I started reading pacesetters books like On The Road, Mark of The Cobra ( really loved this one as my street and parts of PH which I knew were mentioned in the book) Too Close for Comfort... My father, seeing that me and my siblings really enjoyed reading, bought a hardcover collection of several classics like Huckleberry Fin, Robinson Crusoe, The Last Mohican, Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two Cities and many others I can't remember at this time. Those books were indeed a blessing. |
icebeatz:This doesn't make any sense. Edit: I looked up the meaning of vituperate and it's usage here is correct. I understand now. |
This thread is bubbling with delicious photos, nice work people. |
Internet radio stations are not bad at all. I listen to them when I'm at my desk. Regular radio stations are for those odd moments when one is in a car and not in the mood to bother with a playlist. ![]() |
^ how is that relevant to this thread? |
wealthschemes:It's true the phone won't be sold in the US but Lenovo is a fast growing company and presently the fourth largest phone maker in the world. It is certainly not a small company. This fact also makes this copycat behaviour all the more shocking. |
SLIDEwaxie:Can you honestly say that Apple copied the Nexus phone |
epoxide:Provide a better reason than his then. |
aywhy93:Front page? No o. You want more people to see the warped mode of thinking going on here? How hard can it be for guys here to understand that the individual cost of phone components isn't a true representative of the cost of production. This is something that occurs in virtually all sectors from telecommunications to the automobile industry. Heck go to any restaurant and demand that your bill should be N100 because that's how much the items on the plate cost. See how that will turn out. ![]() |
The idea that mobile devices should be sold at a price point just over the cost of manufacture is based on fantasy and a poor grasp of the manufacturing process. OEMs don't just go to the market and start buying parts which they use for their products. These products are researched, designed, tested and in some cases where they have to use a patented technique royalties are paid. There is also the cost of setting up the factory where these products will be made. All of these don't show up in individual cost of the unit components of the products. The reason why some Chinese companies can sell for cheap is because they may undercut some of the processes listed above by outrightly stealing manufacturing techniques or use low quality components - that is where they don't omit the component altogether. They may be also be bankrolled by the Chinese government like Huawei which has been linked several times to the Chinese military. The reason for the government support is largely economic and political so they can afford to sell at dirt cheap prices while they gain market share. Of course this doesnt all mean that all premium charges are justified, or that some OEMs who sell at affordable prices are somehow beating the system. Premium charges also result from OEMs leveraging the power of their brands. There are also a few OEMs that sell at lower prices while maintaining good quality, here the comparative advantage that their regions offer reflect on their products. |
Hmmm. These guys are making it harder for me to stay hidden. I want to be able to read messages without the sender having any knowledge of me doing so. ![]() |
martineverest:-100. Kindly rethink this post. It is almost embarrassing to read. You have given the term monopoly a meaning that can give readers here heartburns. Apple does not have any monopoly; they aren't the only company in the mobile phone business. They have tight control over their own product, true, but not over the phone industry or market. Microsoft and Google did not decide to enter the mobile hardware space because of Apple, they have their own interests. Where are you manufacturing this from anyway? |
The 800 pound gorilla that is COD: Advanced Warfare is about to be released. Let's hope it is better than last year's Ghosts. |
I honestly found this album to be just ok. Not bad but great either. Maybe if I listen to it some more I will feel differently about it but right now I can't understand why people are all pumped for it. |
^ Spoiler abi? |
Why? Google is a very successful company at the moment. |
ROSSIKE:On the contrary I think "soft drink" is a more fitting term. It readily indicates that the drinks are without any alcohol and so are "soft". |
Oh please. What part of popular culture will conspiracy theorists not weave into their mind control/world domination plots. There is always a super secret group trying to control the world economy, start world wars, steal the souls of babies and damn the rest of us to hell. I bet if we looked hard enough at the front and middle pages of all newspapers we will spot hidden messages from Hades that predict the end of the world. |
Nairaland and fake news. These bloggers aint loyal. Lol. And the people airing ignorant views here. SMH |
Valerie - The Weeknd |
nickz:Yeah. Sort of. ![]() |
The first superman photo above cool. I like it. Subdued yet powerful presence. |
Nice thread here. |
Ignatio:I thought Vibranium was practically indestructible. Anyway I hope this Avengers isn't like the comedy show that was the prequel. They need to tone down the one liners and crank up the seriousness. |
