Atmmachine: please, how can i connect my tablet to the internet without using wifiThe tablet will have to have a provision for SIM cards or a USB port which you can then connect to an Ethernet/USB adaptor. Without either one of these features I don't think you can connect to the internet without wifi. |
all4naija: I like hybrid!Me too. Laptops have always been the device of choice for power users but the truth is that tablets are presently seeing a steady growth in capabilities, so much so that in a few years even power users will see little need to use their laptops in place of their tablets.... So till that time arrives hybrids and 2-in-1s are in that sweet spot. The best of both worlds as I mentioned earlier. |
runzlord: tablet pc or laptop it does not concern me. What concern me isCorrect guy. Yeah this form factor brings together the best of both worlds. Dell recently joined the "yoga" club with the Inspiron 11 3000. For those who don't really mind the slight extra weight (when in slate form) I say 2-in-1s are the way to go. |
Djtm: the OP probably copied the post from an american blog. Americans refer to women handbags as purse. There aren't any other shapes that tablets come in except rectangles. For sizes yeah there are variants (7", 8", 10.1", etc) but I'm willing to bet that all tablets are rectangular. |
youngice: until i see tablet that can play dvd cdsYou do realise that optical drives are gradually on their way out, do you? Many new laptops are doing away with the DVD drive and only selling them as peripherals. Get with the program |
miracle4: They come in different sizes and shapes and some are small enough to fit into a purse.^ That is what the OP said about tablets? LOL What are the different shapes that tablets come in please? ![]() |
A terrible decision in my opinion, any further release of an android phone by MS is a distraction from where their main strength lies - WP8. MS needs to continue the fine work they are doing with WP8, build on its features some more and increase its app selection. Pandering to the android crowd is ultimately counter productive and whatever gains they might get, to me, will be minuscule compared to a complete push of their own mobile OS... |
I agree with the OP regarding Monument Men, that movie was insanely boring, so much so that I resorted to playing chess on my phone while the movie aired at the cinema (couldn't leave otherwise I would have) |
We appear to be struggling to keep this thread alive. It seems there are no longer fans of ASOIAF here on Nland |
johnwizey: em em em.........ah dey cumYou should have spelt that last word correctly. As it is now it is x-rated. |
Phema: Babe, I detest food on trays and dinning tables these days.Hormones make you detest dining tables? You need to check yourself in to the National Hospital ASAP. |
Hmmm. Nice discussion going on here. |
While we all await Oluamid's posers I want to ask this; What moments in ASOIAF did you find to be your funniest? One that immediately comes to mind for me was the period of Sansa's naïveté at King's Landing and how her jaw would drop when she learned something surprising or shocking... I found those passages rather hilarious. The image of her face in sudden disbelief has imprinted itself on my mind ![]() Share yours people |
Thanks Oluamid. Will get on it very soon. |
adaobi123: What is this one saying ?Possible Alqeada sympathiser. Let the security agencies take note of him ![]() |
saasala: What do you expect after all the boko menace. Nigeria has brought this upon Africa. Not Nigeria's fault one bit. Blame religious extremism. This inconvenience is only for travellers to the US from certain airports, other international travellers aren't bothered about this. |
Back to the drawing board Alqeada. |
texazzpete: Looking at your username, it's clear your views on this matter are largely shaped by the contents of heavily biased jihadist websites. You need to be watched carefully.Interpol, SSS, NSA, CIA, FBI, MOSSAD, MI6, GRU, SVR and MSS take note. ![]() |
oluamid: ^ your email?Kindly send to Rvolt1000@yahoo.com Thanks |
Truckpusher: Like you rightly said in your last paragraph.....'' each to his own o''......I know women that'll skin their husband alive if they give attention to another woman no matter how innocent it is.At least Obama's wife demonstrated to the whole world how insecure women can be ,but you and your NL warriors will always paint almost any reaction from every man as being insecure but lemme also remind you that some people are plainly jealous and not insecure at all. This is a pile of bull. How and where did Mrs Obama demonstrate to the world how insecure women can be? If you are even referring to the photos from Mandela's funeral then you are a first rate sensationalist. Jealousy is not more noble than insecurity. In fact they are interlinked, one arising from the other, both of them equally undesirable so it is quite ludicrous when you attempt to exult jealousy. Again your post is just absolute bull, it's devoid of any solid points and drips with spite. |
^ Where can one read this Dunk and Egg story? ![]() |
^ The A series chips are proprietary because they are made for and designed by Apple. Samsung's role in its manufacture is akin to Foxcon's in building iphones; they cannot lay any claim to the technology and any other OEM that wishes to use it will have to enter into some kind of licensing agreement with Apple. T-Bolt on the other hand is designed by Intel and anyone can use it as long as they settle with Intel not Apple. (My thoughts though) I didn't even know about T-Bolt/Lightening till Apple announced the iPhone 5. Since then I assumed that it was Apple that designed it from scratch. Asides Apple what other OEMs of note use T-Bolt. It is an impressive technology but will be a niche product without strong support from industry giants. |
Correct me if I'm wrong; Is it right to say Thunderbolt/Lightening is Apple's proprietary port? How can they be proprietary when they are made by Intel? Apple just opted to use them on their products. As it stands now USBs are king of the hill when it comes to market penetration, virtually all computers and many mobile devices come with USBs. Though, from available data, USB 3.0 is fast it cannot match Thunderbolt speeds |
^ Very correct |
Malakh: u make sense small but those ailments does not come from unshaven hairI beg to disagree, he didn't make much sense there. All he did was spread FUD. A gentleman knows that beards make him look good so he keeps it clean and well groomed. He shaves off all pubic and underarm hair. A lady knows that hair on her head, her eyelashes and eyelids too, are an asset and she looks after it with care. She does her best however to keep the rest of her body hairless. ![]() |
Henry Praise spoke the truth! |
Shame on all the beardless people here for saying beards are not cool. ![]() You know what we call men without beards? Women. ![]() |
You may also consider upgrading your HDD to a solid state drive. |
Team Beards waddup!!! ![]() ***** Beards quadruples your handsomeness It dramatically increases your wood-chopping capabilities. Filters the air of toxins, pollutants and stray food ![]() Science has shown that beards rarely sleep. Stroking of beards increases concentration and cognitive abilities. Beards are completely immune to sarcasm. Acts as a homing beacon immediately attracting the jealousy and admiration of the beardless. Let's you instinctually know where the nearest mountain is. Natural wild animal repellant when camping or wandering in the woods It fits on your face. |
GTA6? Surely the OP must be joking. The current release is barely a year old yet the OP thinks that Rockstar is about to churn out another... Are all publishers like Activision now? ![]() Look at how long it took them to release GTAV after GTAIV and use that as a hint for when to expect a new release... |

Herrmes: Don't buy the surface pro as opposed to ultrabooks books please, if you want a laptop get one surface pro is nice to call as a tablet with extras but it can't replace my Ultrabook and it's way to expensive for the core I7 and 128GB hard drive, about $2,000 and at that price you can get a core I7 Ultrabook with 1TB HDD and a an SSD drive + Nvidia GeForce 760M, bottom line: don't waste your cash buying surface pro 2 and don't even think twice about buying Macbook air, its horrible, its for average users, or below average, get a decent UltrabookFor $1949 the Surface Pro comes with 512GB solid state drive and not 128GB as you stated. The 128GB variant cost about $1300 |
