PoliticsRe: Most Boko Haram Weapons Are Stolen From The Nigerian Army by Bawss1(m): 6:49pm On Jul 01, 2014
This report is bad news for people who cannot see anything beyond their twisted political goggles. It doesn't fit in with their popular narrative that it is the political opposition that is behind this terrorist group, so Nairalanders just watch as people who hold these views will vehemently try to discredit this report. They will even allude that the US is trying to protect the opposition, that maybe the US is itself complicit in this ugly business of terrorism. How laughable.

PoliticsRe: Stop Promoting B’haram Attacks Online, FG Warns Youths by Bawss1(m): 7:14am On Jul 01, 2014
Why does the expression "head in the sands like an ostrich" come to mind?

Does the minister think that denying or not discussing about these terrorist attacks will automatically make them dissappear?

Statements like these are a clear indication that many top government officials who are charged with our security have a poor understanding of the whole dynamics of the situation.
PoliticsRe: Abuja Hotels To Submit List Of Guests To Security Agencies Daily by Bawss1(m): 10:05pm On Jun 30, 2014
How is this going to help? Guests like me who like to register with aliases will make this a futile exercise.

The minister should get about ensuring that the CCTVs installed on all streets are fully operational. Same should be done for street lights too.

EducationRe: Six (6) Most Expensive Secondary Schools In Nigeria (alarming School Fees) by Bawss1(m): 8:32pm On Jun 28, 2014
mikkeyjagger: Parents whose wards are in these schools are usually based abroad. These amount for school fees are cheaper compared to what is paid in countries like USA, Canada, Uk and Australia where they are citizens... Don't forget their fees come from Child welfare packages provided by their countries. smiley

Plant their future well....
Amazing. So you mean child welfare packages can be spent outside the country that gives it? Where did you see that one?

BTW which country gives child welfare that can pay these school fees?

tpia: do rich nigerians still have to struggle for visas like poor or average nigerians? Just curious.
Visa requirements are the same for all Nigerian citizens so describing it as a struggle is inaccurate. Not all the requirements are based on the size of the person's bank account. Sometimes even wealthy people are denied visas too. IMO anybody who struggles to get a visa shouldn't be thinking of traveling in the first place.

350K is in the ballpark of decently average schools these days.

G.12:
That's where they spend part of the stolen public funds!
What kind of senseless comment is this? Just because you cannot afford to pay the fees doesn't mean that those who can are all criminals.

Pity.

If it is established that Mitchelle is or is not a jealous woman how does it affect anyone on NL?

kayswag100: oga, do all businesses announce their business plans to the public?

I'm just offering a practical explanation as to why it won't work on other devices not motive for the ban.

copische?
Copische? Seriously?

Why is this thread a Q&A thread if there are no answers.

I was hoping for some insight into why network operators restrict their services to certain devices as in this case the BIS to BB devices but all I got was a lame cop out about companies not disclosing their business plans. WTH. Oh well. Can't blame a dude for trying.
PhonesRe: Q&a: Why Airtel's BB Subscription Would Stop Working On Other Devices By 3rd Dec by Bawss1(m): 8:57am On Dec 03, 2013
I was hoping to find a fitting explaination of this move by Airtel by all the OP has offered till now is talk of moving certain serivces from one account to the other.

Again: What informed this decision? What are the gains for Airtel? Since this is a practise common among the other GSM
operators in this country can someone in the know please educate inquiring minds why this is done.

"How many times did you Made it..." is not proper english.

It should be: How many times did you MAKE it...
PhonesRe: Q&a: Why Airtel's BB Subscription Would Stop Working On Other Devices By 3rd Dec by Bawss1(m): 8:47am On Dec 02, 2013
OP please can you explain the rationale behind this move by Airtel in more detail? The reason you provided didn't explain what the network loses in running the BIS package on non BB devices or what Airtel stands to gain when this move has been effected.
The popular consensus is that by using BIS on non BB devices subscribers actually use up more data and so load data more often which should translate to more money for Airtel.

Shipping costs and the merchants profit are the factors to consider.
