Family / Re: My Wife And 1 Are Expecting Our First Child And This Is What Is Happening by bayooz(m): 10:01pm On Jan 11
So pe otilo... Owo wogbo. Money don vamose. shocked Naming nkoo?
When my wife was pregnant with our first baby, I personally went to the market to buy baby things worth 30k in 2001. Flask, feeding bottles, diapers, powder, soaps, cottin wool, cream, dresses, etc. Some materials were for new baby, Some dresses were for 1,2,3,4 months. And we really have rest of mind.
You and your wife ought to go and scout for these things. Kontri hard ooo to waste 400k plus like that.

Valoromega:
We are currently expecting our first child , she should give birth within a this month.

She has requested money for baby things and I have given her over 400k but she hasn’t both the basic things she needs. She usually go with her mom to the market to get the things but they haven’t even both the things the baby will need in the hospital.
They went and bought baby wardrobe even though we already had baby wardrobe that was given to us on our wedding , she also both baby duvet without buying bed , the clothes she bought was for a month old baby , she didn’t even buy the first wear the baby would use , so far I haven’t even seen anything tangible she has bought with 400k plus I’ve given her, she hasn’t even bought the things she needs after delivery .

I don’t know if it’s her mom that’s telling her to buy those things, the mom doesn’t even care where the money comes from , she just demands that we buy this and that .

I was thinking the money I gave her would be enough to buy the most basic things she and the baby needs , now she’s demanding more

Pets / My Dog And Rodent (okete) by bayooz(m): 7:20am On Dec 22, 2023
I have a four year old German shepherd that usually killed rodents (okete) straying to our area.
Two days ago, the dog killed another rodent. I roasted the rodent and grilled it for my family.
Sadly, I forgot the intestines of the rodent in a nylon bag on the floor.
My dog ate the intestine and within 24 hours started passing bloody stool and died.
Is it true that dogs must not eat rodents' intestines? What could have caused its death?
Family / Re: Who Is To Blame For Moral Decadence Among Our Youths: Parents Or Teachers? by bayooz(m): 3:31pm On Dec 13, 2023
*PARENTS, STOP BLAMING TEACHERS, POLITICAL LEADERS....TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN*

It is *AT HOME* that children should learn to say:

01 - Hello
02 - Good afternoon
03 - Good evening
04 - Please
05 - May I
06 - Sorry
07 - Forgive me
08 - Thank you very much
09 - Thank you
10 - I was wrong
11 - God bless you

It is *AT HOME* that we also learn to:

01 - Be honest
02 - Be punctual
03 - Not to insult
04 - Be polite
05 - Respect everyone: friends, colleagues, elders, teachers, authorities

Again *at home* we learn to:

01 - Eat responsibly.
02 - Not speak with a mouth full
03 - Observe personal hygiene
04 - Not throw waste anyhow
05 - Help parents accomplish their daily tasks
06 - Do not take what does not belong to us.

Still *At home* we learn to:

01 - Be organized
02 - Take care of our, parents, siblings, and business
03 - Not touch other people's belongings
04 - Respect the rules and laws
05 - Speak our mother tongue(s); master our unharmful native culture that does not conflict with God's commandments.
06 - Learn not to Hate.
07 - How to resist pride and self-aggrandizement.

Because *AT SCHOOL* teachers are meant to teach, among other things;

■ Mathematics
■ English
■ History
■ Literature
■ Government
■ Geography
■ Foreign language
■ Social Science
■ Chemistry
■ Physics
■ Biology
■ Philosophy
■ Sociology
■ Physical education
■ Art
■ Civic Studies
■ Economics
■ Religious Studies
■ Agric Science
■ Commerce
■ Home Economics
■ Technical Drawing,
... which only reinforces what the student learned *AT HOME* !!!

This is because OUR HOME upbringing determines the respect we command in our lifetime

*To All Families; Let Us Pursue This Cause Together As One!!!*

*YES, IT IS MY BUSINESS!*

We are in a time when evils are upheld, and even defended, at the expense of the good.

Have you observed that in recent times, people don't like to hear the truth about their children's abnormal behavior?

Have you also noticed that some "accidental parents" will call you all kinds of names and even threaten to deal with you, just because you tried to correct some errors in their parenting?

This happens, especially on social media.

And before you know it, you are bombarded with tons of abuses for making statements that did NOT go down well with their ill-parenting method.

And their _harsh_ responses most often start with; "How does it concern you? Is it your business how other people raise their children? Can't you mind your own business?... etc, etc."

I want to tell everyone here that _it is my business_ how you raise your children.

And it should also be your business how I raise mine; if you are indeed a parent.

🔴 It is my business because, your ill-parented child will corrupt other children, including mine.

🔴 It is my business because, you are likely to raise more hoodlums, prostitutes, drug addicts, rapists, etc., in addition to the ones we already have in my society; thereby making the environment unconducive and unsafe for everyone.

🔴 It is my business because you may raise bullies and send them to the same school where normal children are.

And we cannot afford to continue to have our innocent children recruited into dens of immorality erected by your untamed bulldogs, who you register as students in our sane children's schools.

🔴 It is my business because I am praying to be a father-in-law/mother-in-law of an innocent child brought home to me.

What if fate brings them together with your ill-parented son or daughter, whom you have craftily taught the art of deceit and pretense?

Wouldn't that mean that I may spend the rest of my life in bitterness watching my son or daughter going through pains in their marriage?

🔴 How you parent your children is my business because every well-parented child is a special gift from God to humanity.

Who knows whether that child you are spoiling or neglecting today will be my destiny helper tomorrow?

🔴 Don't tell me to mind my business when you are raising charlatans for the waste, rather than those who would make positive impacts and contributions to mankind.

🔴 Stop telling me to mind my business because I am a stakeholder in the upbringing of every child born in this time and season.

Every good parent knows that we are all stakeholders in this business of raising the next generation.

Posterity will judge us if we see or hear evil and keep mute.

Let's get started, pls 🙏

Celebrities / Romance Between Drug And Music by bayooz(m): 1:56pm On Sep 21, 2023
For centuries, musicians have used drugs to enhance creativity, and listeners have used drugs to heighten the pleasure created by music. And the two riff off each other, endlessly. The relationship between drugs and music is also reflected in lyrics and in the way these lyrics were composed by musicians, some of whom were undoubtedly influenced by the copious amounts of heroin, cocaine, and “reefer” they consumed, as their songs sometimes reveal.

Acid rock would never have happened without LSD, and house music, with its repetitive 4/4 beats, would have remained a niche musical taste if it weren’t for the wide availability of MDMA (ecstasy, molly) in the 1980s and 1990s. And don’t be fooled by country music’s wholesome name. Country songs make more references to drugs than any other genre of popular music, including hip hop....

ALL FOR THE FAME

Leaked sex tape is now the order of the day
Our ladies have certainly gone mad again
Their dignity they use in playing games
Their conciense they sold all for the fame

Dear believer don't be decieved
Their nude videos should never be viewed
Not by you or any child of God
Spare the child and spoil the rod

All for the fame they gave up their dignity
What a shame to feminity
All for the fame they killed their identity
What a slap to Christianity

Now listen to me dear believer
I urge you never to shiver
It pays to serve God
So spare the child and spoil the rod

Don't fall to this trap
At night turn on your lamp
With bible on your lap
Pray for grace not to slack

Dear believer pray not to be misguided
Pray so as to always stay focused
Pray for the grace not to go against God
All for the fame

Romance / Biology And Chemistry Of Magical Love by bayooz(m): 12:11pm On Aug 08, 2023
Love is not a magic but falling in love could be magical. Falling in love can make you feel like the happiest person in the world. For scientists, this sweet phenomenon poses interesting questions and conducted studies have shown love is a biological process involving more science than magic. Scientists peeking inside our brains and psyches have more clues than ever about the biology of love — why we’re attracted, why we fall so hard, and what makes us stay.

Dogs depend largely on their instincts to survive. At the initial stage, an intelligent dog will sniff the food to know if there is poison in the food before eating. If the lead dog refuses the food, others will back off.

I got married two months ago. I am 7 months pregnant my husband didn't tell me he had a child from his previous relationship and the child has a disability celebral palsy. Her mother came to dropped her off in my house saying she has done enough and she's tired it is now hubby turn to take care of her.

The child can't do anything for herself she can't sit, talk, walk and she does toilet in her clothes. I can't do it anymore I love children because I have taken care of my own nieces and nephews before I would have taken care of her if she was normal but taking care of a child in this question is hard and if her own mother has had enough she abandoned her and why would I kill myself taking care of her in my condition.

I want to divorce and go back to my village I have told him i am leaving next month. He is pleading with me not to leave him that he will take the child somewhere else but the place is not free he has to be paying like 200k monthly for them to take care of the child and he doesn't even have that amount of money because he is not financial stable.

I will stick to my decision but I want to know what will other people do in my situation.

Good day bosses in the house.
I need some advice please. I wan to purchase a car and I am stuck with a lot of options. The car would be used to travel about 500km maybe once in every three month. The rest is regular driving withing the town. I have MB C230 Kompressor in mind. I would love to know the reliability of the car and also the cost of maintaining the car. I am also open to suggestions for other cars as well that would be a good fit for me.

Yes. Mercedes Benz is a very good car for all round trip so far you take well care of it, it will take care of you like any other good car.
I have owned 4 Benz. 1 C240 4matic, 2 C240 rear wheel drive, and since 2018 on CLK 320.
I have traveled a lot with the cars including driving from Ibadan to Katsina twice.
Out of 9 cars I used so far in life, I am never tired of traveling with Benz particularly CLK 320. Everybody in my family loves driving it.

Car Talk / Re: Mileage Of A Car At 242474 Good Or Bad by bayooz(m): 3:43pm On May 22, 2022
The expected average annual mileage for a car is 15000 miles. Supposing a car is manufactured 10 years ago, the expected average mileage is 150,000 miles. If well maintained and properly serviced, some small engines have lifespan of 300,000. Many get up to over 500,000 especially German brands and Toyota brands especially V6 and V8.
Purpose of use such as rental, police car, 2nd car, etc matter too.

Crime / The Morphology And Forms Of Hatred by bayooz(m): 10:06pm On Aug 30, 2021
Hatred is a relatively stable feeling of intense dislike for another person, entity, or group. Hatred is distinct from short-lived feelings such as anger and disgust. While some forms of animosity may only manifest briefly and mildly, hatred is a form of active, ongoing hostility that often uses up significant emotional energy. When someone feels hatred for another person, they often spend much of their time fixating on their anger, contempt, or dislike of the other person.

Positive Life Tips Mar 11, 2021 0 18 Add to Reading List
All of us eventually fail at something. It is part of the human experience. The fact is, we learn best by failure. Year after year, even the best and brightest of us eventually do really dumb things. We sabotage our future, our relationships, our financial well-being, our businesses or our health by resorting to behaviors that are self-defeating. We shoot ourselves in the foot. Our problem, in most cases, is not personality or intelligence; it is cluelessness. We are clueless as to what’s really happening. Our view of our life or situation is incorrect. That’s why we don’t always get what we hope for. We implement ineffective strategies and tactics because we cannot see clearly. The reason is that we are blind to or refuse to acknowledge the role we play in generating the failure. Most of us are clueless as to what we bring to the party.

Family / Conduct A Life Audit To Get The Best Out Of Life by bayooz(m): 10:46am On Feb 28, 2021
Life has a funny way of getting in its own way: we get so busy, sometimes we forget to look up. That’s why every now and then it’s important to take a step back and check in: How are we doing? Where are we going? What’s important now that perhaps wasn’t before? Life audit is an exercise in self-reflection that helps you clear the cobwebs of noisy, external goals and current distractions, and revisit or uncover the real themes and core values that drive and inspire you. Life audit is a spring-cleaning for the soul. Architecting a life takes time, after all. It is time for you to audit your life....and stop copying others.

Egocentrism and narcissism are diseases of the mind. Both the rich and the poor suffer them.
In egocentrism, you're unable to see someone else's point of view; but in narcissism, you see that view but not care about it. People high in narcissism may even become annoyed when others fail to agree or see things their way.

Love is in the air; Valentine’s Day is here. I love this time of the year. In fact, I love love. And I love seeing people in love. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if intense romantic love lasted forever? But what if such a desire for love becomes excessive in some people? Could love become an addiction? Love addicts live in a chaotic world of desperate need and emotional despair. Fearful of being alone or rejected, love addicts endlessly search for that special someone – the person that will make the addict feel whole.

Career / Managing Gossip At Work by bayooz(m): 10:48am On Jan 31, 2021
Gossip is something said by one person to another, in a private forum, which cannot easily be substantiated or verified by the message receiver. Kurland and Peled (2000) defined gossip as “informal and evaluative talk in an organization, usually among no more than a few individuals, about another member of that organization who is not present” (p. 429). Gossip is a double edged sword. It has benefits and demerits but the negative side would be examined in this article.
