I am not sure you need it. 500k is just a small fraction of your POF and again 4 months is a good enough time. If you are getting a letter in CIC format, all your worry would be needless as it would not be obvious on the letter. But if you it would give you peace of mind, write an LOE ([s]cos I know you will still write it after all these our responses[/s]).

Lol. You're a case.
In addition to that, it depends on your previous transactions. Will 500k stand out as a huge sum in your incoming and outgoing transactions?

Thank God. I was able to get my log-in details to the visa application. That's the UCI underlined with blue.

My bad. I did a paper application for my tourist visa.
I'm curious as to why you asked if you already had the information? Shouldn't you be applying through that account for your PR?

Is like you didn't get my question. I once applied for Canada visit visa and I was refused. So, am assuming I will have a UCI which I can't even find now.

Your assumption is invalid as you cannot have a UCI when your visa was refused. However for those that were issued a visa, it's the 8- 10 digits at the bottom of the visa.

Regarding the statement in bold, without your PR card, it is still permitted to cross landed borders with your stamped Record of Landing Document (IMM 1000) or stamped COPR but crossing has to be done by private vehicle (i.e. a car, truck, motorcycle, or recreational vehicle that you own, borrow, or rent). If you are crossing landed boarders by commercial vehicle (i.e. a bus such as greyhound bus, a car such as taxi etc. or the train), you will need your PR card or a PRTD to cross.

I was about to say this. Thank you.

Hi Elders.

While re-checking the Post-ITA forms as advised, I discovered these two questions are similar in the STATUTORY QUESTIONS UNDER PERSONAL HISTORY

Has ... been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

Has .... ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?:

I feel these two questions are the same thing. My response was same for the two because I have had a Canadian study visa denied twice in the past 2years;

My Study Visa Application to Canada (UCI:5372-....) was refused on the 28th August, 2017 with the following reason;
(1) No sufficient funds, (2) Travel history (3) Family ties in Canada and in country of residence (4) Purpose of visit.
However, my school fees deposit of CAD$... was returned by Algonquin College. I quoted the UCI number and Application number

Above is my response, What is the right response? Why the totology of the question?

It's fine. Don't forget to add other countries if you've had refusals there too. Goodluck

Exactly.... even with my transaction which was from TD( Canada) to BOA. It had to have that narration so it's not just a GT thing.

Thank you for the address.

The thing is if I use gift deed from friend, it will negate the remark I put in the transfer.

Thanks, I will be patient, for two or more people to have recomended, I will wait, I cant even meet up with this tomorrow sef as I have to thrash this remark issue

Can you go to the bank and see if they can issue you a CIC letter, that way you don't have to explain anything.

I had similar last minute transaction too but my bank issued a letter so I didn't need to explain.

Hmmm! What a remark, at the bold info. Let's be careful at the words we use and not water down things outrightly. I think it's better to say for the purpose of gaining additional point on this EE exercise. Atleast the work experience will be very useful if and when she gets to Canada. Some words really cut deep into some people. My 2 kobo.

I felt so too.... but I think I mentally added 'for this putpose' lol

Hello house, please can someone recommend where I can scan documents wider than the usual A4 size i.e marriage certificate and newspaper publication on name change in Lagos (between and Gbagada and Ikeja axis). Business centers around my area can only reduce the size and photocopy for me. I'm really not sure if this will be acceptable. Please assist.

Thanks
Just download camscanner and email it as pdf to yourself.

Hello house.

I already have my WES evaluation and IELTS, even with all the documents that will be required post-ITA (References and POF).

My worry is that my partner is due to give birth this month and I am contemplating whether to start my EE profile immediately or wait till we welcome the baby.

My CRS score is 461.

Waiting for your responses pls

Your unborn baby has no bearing on your EE profile. You don't even fill your child/ children's details until after ITA so you better dive in.

We just checked our ielts results
1st attempt
P.A LRWS 8.5 8.5 7.0 7.5
SPOUSE LRWS 7.5, 9.0 7.0 7.0

should spouse be thinking of retaking test to max out scores?

I think spouse is fine as spouse should be giving like 16 or 17 points already. The maximum spouse can give is 20. Did spouse evaluate degree? That should add another 8 to 9 depending on level of qualification.
Don't waste 68k because of that.

1. Submit application anyway immediately with my expired IELTS test results and update it once the new test result comes out on the 14th of Feb.(I'm fairly confident that I will have reasonable scores) . I have seen on the CIC website that you can update your details even after applying in cases of things like expired results

3. Decline ITA and wait for next favourable draw. Note though that Madam will lose 5 points in June so CRS will now drop from 449 to 445. What if the CRS doesn't fall again. This is also like my least favoured option o. Even my liver is reaching out to "konk" my head for thinking of this?

Hi,

It has to be 1 or 3.... If you're sure she'll remain as high as 445, I'll take 3 and submit as soon as you get the next ITA. If you go with 1 and your application is reviewed before the 14, it may be rejected depending on the VO at CIO .

Goodluck with your decision.

They will. You will end up having to do it twice. If the school is in Enugu and they have been receiving others from Enugu then yours emanates from Lagos. It will raise a red flag.

This information is false.

WES WILL accept your transcripts so far it's sealed/stamped and the flap is signed.
Just follow the instructions on the website after you pay.

Modified: I see quite a number of people have answered already.

Hi. Pardon me if this seems like a silly question, but how does one request for transcript (MSc) from a foreign university if you are no longer physically present in the country? Do you just email them the forms from WES?
Is the process same for online acquired masters degree?

Just go on the school website, you should be able to order it from there.
I usually just google "order transcripts name of school" you may have to pay from £5 to £50 depending on the school.

Can I have more than one Express Entry profile?

No. You may only have one profile at a time. This is set out in Canada’s immigration law.

Hi Seniors,
Status: Post ITA.
I have had a couple of visa refusals in the past and also several travels. I want to try as much as possible to avoid this thing called ADR after submitting my Application and I would like to attach Schedule A form and Travel History Form upfront.

Please, which section would be best to upload these documents? LOE or Passport/Travel Document section?

Thank y'all.

Add it to your LOE.

My wife is the principal applicant and she has ACCA which we have evaluated with Wes and she has also done the Canadian CPA but the issue is that CPA is requesting for Wes evaluation of her credentials but Wes is saying she has to do a fresh application from scratch instead of sending the already evaluated report..gurus in the house please I need your assistance on how we can go about this because I can’t even imagine going through the transcript saga again..thanks

I think she may need to upgrade her immigration assessment to ICAP. You may need to pay some extra money though.

That's obviously not my point. My point is to correct the impression:
You probably are going to sign documents/a contract that mandates you to stay in Ontario for a couple of years ( most likely till you get your citizenship).

Ontario is one of the best provinces to live in. If not the best. wink He wont regret making the choice. My advise to him is to consider Ontario since he already has the NOI.

I didn't get the obvious point hence I asked. I believe I used the word 'probably'. Perhaps you should focus more on answering his question.

@Op the rule of thumb is to stay in the province that nominated you for at least 3 years after that you can live anywhere you choose.
Goodluck.

Some provinces like Manitoba and NB make u sign bond of how long you gonna be in the provinces! With Ontario u are not required to sign any bond.

But as a matter of principle the moment ur get ur PR and Land in Canada, u are covered under the charter of freedom and right to live anywhere within Canada.

So are you trying to say it's okay for him to get a nomination from Ontario and live in Alberta?

You probably are going to sign documents/a contract that mandates you to stay in Ontario for a couple of years ( most likely till you get your citizenship). You wouldn't want to go against your contract as I've read people have issues when applying for Citizenship.

Why not try and get nomination in your preferred province?

Happy Sunday my e-family. Pls i have 2 questions, i would appreciate your response.

1. I have a company and one of my customers paid N500k into my savings account this January which I transferred to my company account upon receipt of the said sum. I have a control copy invoice for this transaction. I would like to know if I should get the invoice notarized as evidence of d lump payment into my account? I only usually get lump sum payments from my husband into my savings account.

2. In the field for Immigration and citizenship when filling eAPR, i came across request for UCI number. Do I fill in the UMI number on our eMedical form?

1. I think you're good. Is 500,000 a lump sum when you look through your account transactions? An LOE and the invoice should suffice.

2. If you've gotten a Canadian TRV before its the 8 or 10 digits at the bottom of your visa if not leave it blank.
UCI is different from UMI.

Happy sunday e-fam.
I need your responses please. Very unhappy at the moment. Before I got to know about this informative thread on the canadian immigration program, I engaged a law firm (paid heavily for this). After I got my ITA (CRS 452), they demanded for an outrageous sum again. I then terminated the contract. I claimed the 15points CRS for sibling cos my husband's younger sister resides in Canada. Now, looking through what they filled, I found out that they claimed that I have a sibling in Canada and not my husband.
My question is this: should I decline the ITA and make amends, or continue with process and write an LOE.
HELP ME WITH YOUR RESPONSES, IT WILL GO A LONG WAY.

Hmmm I would decline since your CRS is on the high side and wait for the next draw and just make it tidier. However an LOE could suffice depends on how you view it.

Kayla10 don't you reside in Australia? Why are you always here feeling like voltron defender of the universe? Please if you haven't read through, Honey86 has more than contributed on her knowledge of Manitoba on here. You shout people are rude, then come blazing like folks should bow down to you? No one attacked anyone's person or called anyone outside their name, till you landed. Please we don't need Aussies here with their very annoying accents grin Leave us to argue away about Canada.

In other news, Rainzoe, if your heart is resting with relocation, talk to the husband and y'all can try a soft landing. Whatever y'all decide, I hope y'all make the right decision for your family.
kiss

At the bolded.. I hope you decide what's best for your family as a whole. I know someone who stayed in Canada with the kids while her hubby went back and forth very frequently after 4 years or so she came back home and put the kids in boarding house in Canada.
He was able to take care of his family in Canada and maintain the home in Lagos and still does.
I usually wouldn't advise this for young couples for many reasons.
I gather you're the one who wants it for whatever reason and he doesn't understand or get your reasons.

I didn't want to relocate too and hubby and I were on the same page but when we went to Canada we loved it and didn't mind. Once again we talked about it and agreed, I'm not separating my family too. I believe when you go he may change his mind.

I wish you all the best.
