Virt: @maternal, giving God the deserved thanks and honor in seeing us through good and difficult times is not a naija thing but a personal thing. I just hope people don't get to Canada where things seem to work and feel no need to reverence God again. Without Him, we are nothing both in Naija or Canada or anywhere else in the world. This is just my thought. Cheers!! Thank you for saving me time from writing this exact thing. Here I was thinking once in Canada, one will be more tolerant of other people's religion or whom they choose to thank for seeing them through whatever. Could be Allah/ Shiva/ Buddha or whomever they please. We love God in Naija let us be... give us you useful advice and leave the rest. |

Muslimity: @Kunmi and others: Please I wish to know if whatever my spouse score in IELTS test will still give me atleast 5 points. This is what I was told and I just want to confirm if my spouse 's inability to score the almighty LSRW8777 is an issue to worry about or not. What of if she doesn't even write the IElts test at all? Please, help with the fact. You can easily DIY with the tool. Play around with the numbers and see what you get. |

RandV: Hello All,
Please I have a few questions to ask for a post-ITA status
1. Is it a must for a family of 4 to have their medicals done at the same hospital at the same time? Kids and spouse are in abuja and I am in lagos. So we want to do the medicals at different hospitals, but we are being advised against this.
Yes you can do your medicals separately in different CIC approved clinics.
2. Must you have your International Passport ready before you get to do your medicals?
Yes. You will need it. Make photocopies of your Bio data pages and take along 2 passport photographs for each person.
Thanks Goodluck! |

Gosh I cant wait to tell my story. It will be televised
ADVICE ON POF
For those who haven't submitted , if you have more than one account showing you proof of funds make a table / front cover explaining. This mistake by CIC has robbed so many people . I know someone on another site after 8months rejected , he wrote to CIC and was given PPR i think a month later.
God give us our own testimony Just to add to this... use your LOE efficiently. We submitted like 3 POF documents and I made sure to explain it in the LOE e.g Bank of America acc USD 10,000 equivalent 000000 CAD Stanbic acc N 5000000 equivalent 0000 CAD Total unencumbered funds CAD 0000000 Congratulations Nozzle! I remember we got ITA at the same time 12th July. It will end in praise. |

Topboyz5: It's still not up to 180 days. And visits are not consecutive. But check cic website for details I'm wondering where you read the visits should be consecutive? You mean cummulative? Please don't mislead her with speculations because when they ask her for it (by the way it takes more than 3 months to get) you won't be there. @Godsaysyes please go ahead and do the FBI. |

Bawss1: It appears now that coming to Canada is a fad among the middle class and below in Nigeria. If you are doing OK at home or are happy with the future you can build for yourself there why would you want to relocate to a place with a different culture and climate? Nigeria may not be the easiest place to live in but with focus and determination, as is required in every country in the world, maybe a little more, you can build a life that you find fulfilling there.
With that said, immigrating to Canada should be for very specific reasons and not because all the cool kids are doing it. Those reasons will inform the areas where one settles and there are many of such areas. Canada offers living standards and opportunities that are among the best in the world today and the ease of settlement for immigrants is usually a factor of the research, planning and drive of said immigrants. There are many who have settled successfully and are making amazing strides in the careers and personal lives and there are those who are struggling.
In the end, relocating is a personal project, one that should only be embarked upon after detailed research and planning. The challenges one may face, if any, are not a deterrent to those with the proper drive and knowledge. I have to agree with you... |

henryhemon: I was on Quora and have read countless people who went CA and it is about having Canadian experience,I may be wrong. Yes you maybe.... It's the way you said it as a matter of fact. Yes we've all read how employers want Canadian experience and all but we've also seen and heard about a few who got jobs while still in Nigeria. So maybe next time rephrase to accommodate the few who defied the CA experience ish. |

follyzee: That's the funny thing about PPR, u pray fervently for it U get it, u jump n almost go crazy with hapiness, everyone congratulates some even envies u.
After d party, reality will now present itself especially via ticket cost, cost of living n possibility of getting a great job. Then one way of the other, n u see ur self getting touch n unnecessarily angry. This phase is called d cold feet stage
So all u need do is stay focus, draw a plan, pray n tell urself if God did not want this 4 u he won't give u d PPR in 1st place.
All d best in our Journey. Let's take the Big step to Greatness..... You hit the nail on the head. For me, I'm now doing ECA (icap) to be admitted to college of education so that I can get a job wothout having to do any course. I think at some point we all have sleepless nights on top of this relocation matter. God help us all. |

victor83: Good evening great people. Please inhale a question..on feeling the application form on line, there are 2 columns under statutory questions in the personal history column that asks similar questions on refusal of visa or refugee immigration. The 2 questions seems similar but I doubt if they mean the same thing. I was denied US and UK visas in 2002 and 2007 but after that I have been to those countries at least a dozen time after the denials. the question is this do I indicate the denials for the 2 questions or which of the questions should have a yes for denials. sorry for the long epistle You should evaluate both degrees to get maximum points. It's usually those with master's or PHD that are advised to evaluate their masters or PHD alone.. |

superdoll: Hello people, pls i hv sum concerns which i wonder if dey r relevant or not. I went to US to hv my baby last yr, den i enrolled my older kids in private sch (like day care) which we make payments weekly as soon as the week starts. I left US last yr dec, only fr my friend dt went last month(stayed in same apartment) to bring me some mails of demand notice from the sch stating i was owing fr 2 weeks in between which isn't possible cos payments r done upfront weekly and der s no way for example i can not pay fr first week in nov and den start paying Again 2nd week of November. Any way am trying to sort dt out. The issue now dt d first demand notice got to d address dec 2016 and dey hv been writing witout my knowledge, The debt has even been transferred to a collecting agency and the last letter said that dey hv contacted me severally and hv now reported to credit reporting agencies. I got all letters today sealed! I hv been speaking to d sch all day so while i try to sort out the issue with the sch whom am sure i am not owing, i hope this will not affect my application . I hope to submit by next week. Anyone with advice for me pls help Unless you're trying to get a loan from CIC, I don't see how this affects anything. Stop worrying already and submit joor. On the other hand, try and do minimum payment or do a payment plan with them just so you're in the clear (for clean conscience sake). Ultimately, the issues are not related in anyway. Good luck! |

dtaminator: Birthday was April 4th, ITA was April 19th. Once you submit your profile to the pool, nothing will change automatically. It's your duty to ensure that info is up to date. If something changes, you have to update and resubmit. Prior to this, I had also expected the deduction to be automated, so I was a bit surprised when I got that ITA. That's strange though as ours changed automatically. Anyways congratulations on your PPR. |
