dimpules8: Kudos to everyone!
Hi babiechic, About your visa renewal via Dropbox, could you please give me the steps to the Dropbox renewal. Can't seem to figure out how it works anymore. Too many conflicting information.
cc: nerf, bbaby84, anyone who has an idea please Oh dear! I did my dropbox early last year. I think you fill the form first, then attempt to book an appointment but choose dropbox instead... It's been a while and things keep changing so your best bet is to go on the website and follow the instructions. Goodluck |

XX01: I need assistance. Those that evaluated foreign degrees with WES, how did you send that form that you download from WES website? When I did mine, I was in the UK so I walked up to them to give them. Can u choose not to include it? One of the universities( University of London) sent it without the form (I had written the ref number when ordering transcripts ) The other ( London Metropolitan) sent an email that they wanted the form so I filled signed and scanned to them to attach. WES accepted both transcripts no issue. |

MissG: Congratulations to those that got their PPR.
Pls pls pls, can someone pls answer my question.
I got an ADR request for travel history (supplementary travel info form) for my husband and I.
We both have extensive travel history and I tried my best to put all our travel details in our application. The only ones I didnt include were ports our Carribean cruiseship stopped on two cruise trips as we were not stamped in at the ports (countries) but only got stamped in the USA where the cruise started.
Is this an issue? Should I include them in the form now and include a LOE or leave it out to avoid any problem
If the officer handling our application is extra and checks our Facebook accounts , they will find pictures from some of the ports (countries).
Your advise will be appreciated as I need to submit today
Thank you Hi.. I think you should put it. I know filling those forms can be tiring but don't leave anything out. Afterall, you'll write 'cruise port stop' as reason. Also create a word document to fill in the remaining trips that can't be on the original form. Goodluck |

cochtrane: Though it's not explicitly required to notify them of situations such as this, you should know that you need to inform them if the reasons for the denial is security-related. Usually they want notification if there are important changes to your application, like marriage, divorce, family composition, address maybe, etc. But if there's a security situation (or development) causing that visa denial, you'd need to raise a CSE and let them know. If you don't and they find out and have to investigate, it could delay your application significantly. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=021&top=4 What kind of secuirity problem will that be? *side eye |

Thank you everybody I'm so overwhelmed with the messages. Thank you so much! I imagined how I would feel on this day.... I'm so overwhelmed that it seems like I'm not as happy as everyone is for me.
Our application: Hubby is the PA but still I handled everything from WES to POF. I had a bout of insomnia at some point ( thanks to FBI as I submitted one set of fingerprints.) Thanks to @yokus for helping me stay sane lol I used the LOE to list and explain all we had submitted. I submitted xe pages to convert our POF and lock it down. I submitted pictures of my sibling and I at different points of our lives ( I claimed points for Canadian sibling) including specified documents (mortgage bills, driver's license, passport, marriage certificate etc)
When we finally submitted we were asked for travel history for hubby and resident permit for the years he lived in the UK. (This shook me as hubby had 5-6 years in the UK where he had no resident permit) We explained the issues with home office on a letter and the issues he had with his Uni and fees etc and he still had to finish his school since he had eventually sorted out school fees but Home Office still refused to renew the visa. After his studies he came home. I scanned and uploaded previous permits, school ID and fees receipt for his MSC. We told the truth (long and short). Then I found out we had been transferred to London, I thought 'oh boy!'
When I got the message to check the CIC account today, I thought what do they want now? Alas! It was PPR.
I wish everyone the best on this journey. @40manlappy @blackbuddy @yokus and everyone that helped me along the way, I am so grateful... Thank you. |

Bsbabe: Tolerance for other people’s beliefs is one of the biggest virtues held by Canadians. Also, one of the major ‘rights & freedoms’ is “the freedom to express your beliefs and opinions freely (including through free press)”
If you are on this journey, kindly remember this. God bless you! I'm not even Catholic but geez. What's your own with what someone else believes in? The thing rubbed me the wrong way. That's the problem with we Nigerians. |

Ronke1114: Fear to ask questions cuz no one wants to be ridiculed or insulted. Doesn’t feel good to go to a forum for information just to get insulted. Like I said, I ask on my WhatsApp group and other forums, not because I don’t have a thick skin, but because this process is already mentally tasking, so I don’t need the extra drama from nobody. I know myself, I will end up dedicating my time to put that person in his/her place. Ain’t nobody got time for that. So let’s respect ourselves. Oh dear! Madam please it's Sunday morning... I still don't understand and will never understand why an adult will be afraid of another adult on a faceless forum... (does he/ she pay your bills? Do you know the person in real life?) No matter your explanation I still won't understand. Perhaps, 'fear' is not the word you seek but if it is ...... |

Owlette: Please go away abeg. Stop blabbing. When you guys see something that is wrong you let it slide because it is a 'certain person' who has said it. It is wrong on so many levels. You don't come here and tell me I'm sitting on a high horse to call people names. Canadianfly was rude. Canadianfly is almost always rude. When she came back here to say what she did because i called her out, you didn't show your concern. Now I have replied her you have flown out of wherever you were to quote me. Uncle or Aunty abeg move on. Madam please what have you contributed to this forum other than derailing it in the name of calling out. The person you called out has responded but you keep going on and on. Perhaps you can DM her and you two can continue from there. The person that she was "rude" to has moved on. Please let us all move on. The newbies won't read if all they read is insults flying up and down. It is beg o not shakara. |

cochtrane: The point we don't wanna get to is where fear precedes the asking of questions. Not good at all. Answering questions here is a volunteer job and volunteer jobs, being not compulsory, should be discharged politely. I don't see how hard it is to simply ignore irritating questions and not crucify those who ask. No point fueling the fire of so-called "blunties". When you say fear, I'm not understanding that part. People can ask questions if they wish and whomever is able to answer will answer. This is a faceless forum, I'm wondering why anyone would be afraid.. Max is that your question will be ignored or you'll be redirected to page 0. I'm assuming that anyone embarking on this journey is not a baby so why shall you fear any fear? To the newbies ( as people say) Continue to ask your questions but biko read from the beginning (page 0) and you may not even need to ask the question again sef. Go on CIC website and read all readables on EE. People have taken pains to collate all the information there, let's drop this spoon feeding attitude. |

Owlette: There's no need to sound so condescending madam. This (nairaland) might be her source of 'serious research'. You need to stop being a 'nairaland bully'. Everyone was once a learner so cut newbies some slack. Just saying. Just like she was... The truth is bitter to whomever doesn't like to hear it. You need to read. This journey is not a one size fits all. Ayam not understanding 'nairaland bully' which one is that again? Anyways, you could have helped out by answering the questions. |
