Thanks for this. This eTA thing just started recently oh for flights, one didn't need it before. I guess it's to generate revenue abi airline tax.

And am I correct to think that the green card has to be scanned and uploaded too when declaring travel document?

They'll probably ask for it as an additional document If you don't submit upfront.
Also, since there's no place holder for it, and it to your LOE.

Since you said it is fine, others can do same.
I was not in the same situation as everyone of us only had Naija passport.

Sis I did not say o lol. It's what I did and I'm yet to receive PPR. Perhaps others that have successfully received COPR can weigh in. What I'm sure of is that whatever passport you use for medicals is what you'll have to send for PPR.

Did you state that they have only Nigerian passports? I am asking this because the fact that one is born in US does not mean you will have a US passport. You can be a citizen of a country without the passport.

Anyway, I think it should not be a problem for babies as there are no implications, but for adults, it might be misrepresentation.

Exactly at the bolded. I just put in the Nigerian passport. I didn't mention the US.

I'm still in d sea.. Shldnt application fee be termed the visa fee?

I think you've confused yourself sir. US citizens(Adult) pay the same amount we pay, it's children that pay 150CAD ( regardless of citizenship other than Canada)

What is ur CRS when married? He can still do IELTS. Check ur CRS with his imagined 20pts. I still don't know how folks on 307,309 etc get eligible profiles.

It's possible. They probably lose a lot of points due to age. But have the work experience, POF and IELTS. You get?

Can one use only Nigerian passport? Won't that be misrepresentation? I thought you have to put details of all your travel documents while completing the application form.

You put in all their details truthfully. ( birth certificate and all) but I uploaded their Nigerian passports ( passport even says place of birth: USA) and used it for medicals.
They are dual citizens so they can choose.

A lot of people have done this successfully.
It's far from misrepresentation.

Oh I see. Thanks for this.

However you might still need to send the US passport for sighting.. i think it's @folamingo that had to still send after she had sent a photocopy.
Betterstill, use their Nigerian passport(s) for the application.

LOL wait. He called me names? It's good oh he edited the post and I didn't get to see it. WW3 grin

And yea, I don't know why Nigerians feel like if they declare a visa refusal it infringes on their status in the society or dents whatever record they are trying to keep clean, hence they make up rules to excuse that. LOL! Anyway there are better things to do on this thread than go back and forth over nonsense I swear. Everybody and their mother feeling special tonight grin

You too take it easy... Lol
Nigerians usually don't like the truth, thereby you come across as shoving it down their throats lmao .

Oya please let's end this back and forth. Hugs and kisses.

Na wa for you o! Name calling?
Well Canadianfly is right. Just because you now have a visa doesn't erase a previous visa refusal.
I've been refused Canadian visit visa twice and I now have a 3 years valid Canadian TRV yet I still declared the previous refusals.
While some people get away with it, unfortunately some don't ( it's called Misrepresentation).

It's importatnt to do the right thing not what you feel. You may not be part of the lucky ones that will get away with it.
Goodluck in your application.

Gurus in the house please help me answer this question. I have currently been issued an ITA. Can I delete my profile and change my NOC. I just found out that my NOC doesn't have to be the same with my education. I have experience in 2 different NOCs but I based my application on one that is same field as my education but to be honest I have more proof and experience in the second NOC. If I delete my profile and enter d pool again and I get another ITa and change my NOC will it backfire. Will CIC have record of the previous one I wrote?

You can edit your NOC post ITA so far you still fall within NOC 0, A or B. You dont have to reject your ITA for that reason. You can mention it in your LOE if it will make you feel better.
All the best.

@yooku Yes, it is a job with a different company. Same job function as the one in Naija but a completely different company.

Like working as an IS Consultant with KPMG Naija and getting a job as an IS Consultant with PWC Canada. This is just an example.

Pls asking for a friend:

1. He's the principal applicant, wife didn't do ECA or IELTS. While filing EE profile he put wife's employment history, now post ITA wife is unable to get Ref letter from the 4 previous employers (Banks). There is a placeholder to upload employment records for spouse...

What should he do?

In my own case, I submitted my spouse's employment letter and wrote LOE on why Ref letters couldn't be obtained.

My advice to him based on previous posts have read, "he should delete wife's details from work history and just move it to personal history", that way there won't be any placeholders..
.

Kindly shed more light Pls @mummyjaygirls @40manlappy @ everybody with relevant info pls... Thanks House

Your advise is valid. He can mention it in his LOE.

My 2nd IELTS wasn't so good- L 7.5, R 6.5, W 7 and S 7.5.
I lost concentration during the listening and missed 6 answers. I knew after the exam that getting 8 points would be a miracle. I got 8 in my first attempt and 6.5 for S, R , W. I did study for 2 weeks to get this new score.

How can one improve on reading? Any materials to use?

Hi Nogen,
Thought you received an ITA at some point. Did you reject it?
I used mostly the YouTube listening practise, IELTS buddy and Ieltsliz and that worked for me.
All the best.

You shouldn't go ahead and apply as your circumstances have now changed. When you decide to add your spouse, your marriage certificate will show you concealed information and we all know how that ends. The trick is to get married after you've submitted not before.
My advise is to re-calculate your scores and if it falls below the cut off you got an ITA with, then your spouse should prepare for IELTS and maybe evaluate her degree.
All the best!

@bbaby84, to corroborate your post below. I did a small analysis shown below using the CRS tool.

I am married with two kids. I completed CRS tool as married and chose spouse not accompanying me with a certain IELTS score (S:7.5-9, L:8, R:7.0-7.5 & W:7.0). See my score breakdown:

AGE= 83, Level of Edu= 128, Official Lang= 127. Spouse Factors= 0, Skill Transferability factor (official lang. proficiency & edu= 50), Foreign work experience (official lang. proficiency & foreign work exp=50). Total score 438 points. Note that no score was obtained under SPOUSE factors.

I did another analysis, married and chose spouse accompanying me with the same IELTS score I used before. See my score breakdown;

AGE; 75, Level of Edu= 119, Official Lang.=119, Spouse Factors= 8, Skill Transferability factor (official lang. proficiency & edu= 50), Foreign work experience (official lang. proficiency & foreign work exp=50). The total score dropped to 421 points. I scored just 8 points under SPOUSE FACTORS using her B.Sc (assuming it's evaluated). I assumed she won't do IELTS, so no points earned. I gained only 8 points under SPOUSE FACTORS compared to the 25 points I lost in AGE, Level of Edu & Official Lang when I chose "accompanying me.

Comparing these two analysis, I lost 8 points in AGE with my spouse accompanying me. I lost 9 points in my Level of Education with my spouse accompanying me and also lost 8 points in official lang, totaling 25 points.

I would advise if you have spouse accompanying you, the PA must ace the IELTS exam with excellent scores and have your spouse degree evaluated and if possible (if no cash constraint), let her also write IELTS exam to give some points. Anything short of having good IELTS score will drop your overall score with your spouse accompanying you.

Just thought to share....

Sorry for quoting the long post. But I had to say God bless you for this. May your PPR be smooth and quick! Yooku's post was very valid but my post was just a 'however' kinda post.
I knew someone would help me out. This English sometimes is not easy for me to be typing...
God bless you once again.

I was buttressing his fact. 8777 does not give you maximum points. It gives you about 20 points less than maximum. Its for spouse that it gives the maximum.

And I never disputed that fact. Ah.... never mind people will figure it out themselves.

I already have ITA. the sections are locked. I believe what I have is sufficient, I just want that conviction that it is enough.

Unless things have changed I was able to edit out hubby's first year of work in another dept so I would have to provide reference for it since his correct role and years gives maximum points.
I also moved my work experience to PH. I did all this post ITA and just mentioned it in the LOE.
You know things change everyday.
