manchy7531:Dude, nobody is trying to annoy you, but only unserious people will accept stuff without knowing the source. The politics section has really fallen with the influx of all sorts of crude and empty people and the worsening moderating, that is why you thing you can post without a source. Even mods post stuff from twitter these days, something that was unthinkable on NL just a couple of years ago. |
Beaf, How is it that on Soyinka you can connect so many disparate dots together and exhibit them as a contingent family but when it comes to politics and Gej's Presidency you are lost and often buried in the cloud of multitude arrowheads, all issuing from the same bow of strike and eliminate effort to capsize his boat? Who do you work for. . . or perhaps, I should ask, what do you understand?
You've always been a lost, incoherent fool with the intellect of a cockroach. Please stop seeking my notice. |
Ufeolorun:The irony is startling indeed. You would think their attention would be more on the destruction of boko haram for the survival of their people, but No! They are after Soyinka instead. Wole Soyinka has come out to boldly state the obvious and the result has been a two pronged attack; boko haram marking him for elimination, as well as a cortery of twopenny, severely bush "intellectuals" dreaming that they can malign his esteemed name. Anyone looking with a dispassionate eye at the level of energy behind the assaults on Soyinka, would conclude two things; one, that they are sponsored and two that Soyinka has hit a nerve very close to home. The attacks on Soyinka have come in thick, fast and with unusual frenzy. How many news articles in the past few days alone? The nerve Soyinka hit is the image of boko haram in the US. How do I know? Soyinka's address was to the foreign press and in recent weeks, there has been a pitched battle against the US officially listing boko haram as a terrorist group. That battle has been waged by certain interests (lets call them core-Northern elite), shady groups with the money and werewithal to lobby the US congress. They are savvy enough to know that the weight the voice of a Nobel Laureate carries (on any issue) is of galactic proportions. It is easy to conclude that we are witnessing tricks that are all matching to the same script and strategy, all written and directed by the core-Northern elite. The threats to Soyinka's life by boko haram and the rolling out of war drums against the man by intellectual wimps are all one and the same thing; two sides of the same coin. |
Gbawe:Lol! Funny guy! I am not interested in any personal stuff, neither am I interested in your id!otic Nairaland beauty contest. You can play to the gallery like some trained monkey; its all good and entertaining. And we will laugh. You lost the elections and your vampire allies will NEVER be in power in Nigeria, from now until doomsday (boko haram or not). Live with it. The simple question at this point is: Why are you so sad that Kibiru Sokoto has been arrested? Why are you so desperate, bitter, hate-filled and frustrated? Why? Kabiru Sokoto has been arrested and that saddens boko haram luv'n, Nigeria hate'n freaks like you! Why would a normal person love boko haram? ![]() You described boko haram in embarrassingly fawning words, as people with "stomach." Na lie? Makes me wanna puke! ![]() Any surprise you are sad that one of your hero's has been caught? |
Gbawe:I didn't read all of your post because it was just rambling, foolish stuff. Please don't take offense. As for the bolded, you claimed you were the "owners of Nigeria" who were about to overthrow the govt with your id!ots subsidy "revolution." Why are you now distancing yourself from the statement you made when you felt like a ten tonne gorilla in heat and with momentum? You and your cohorts at the time were singing songs about how jonathan was not going to last out the week. He was gonna be overthrown, shot or whatever. In the same breath, you praised boko haram as being the sort that can deliver the goods in todays Nigeria. Guys with "stomach," you said. Now, why are you backing away from your own words like a coward? If not that you and your fellow hate-filled "owners of Nigeria" are losing the battle? Stop posting evil crap. Its easy to see through you. Everyone else is elated that Kabiru Sokoto has been arrested, but you are sad. Why? |
You see nau! fdigital is right, una no get life at all. Imagine turning a humorous thread into an argument about industry regulations, Software Engineering or Computer Science! Choi! |
dmainboss:Exactly! Everything is petty these days with people you would credit some sense to at first sight shocking you to the roots by betraying unending fountains of idiocy that would make even babies weep. Yes its all because of the elections that we are now priviledged to see the Neanderthal sides of people that were previously hidden from public glare. Leaders and followers alike. It is a great revelation. hbrednic:Damn! https://i.imgur.com/UPBvj.gif |
Why are there so many id!ots on NL? ![]() |
Where are alj haram, Negro_Nts, Rhino.5dm and other boko haram admirers and haters? The only one posting here now is Gbawe. Where are the rest of the crew? ![]() Gbawe:https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-837167.0.html#msg9883217 Gbawe, as you can see, your "owners of Nigeria" are losing the battle. Go on GEJ!! You is da man! ![]() Fresh Air!!! ![]() |
logica:Me too. ![]() |
My own surprise is that Kabiru Sokoto is still alive, boko haram is known to summarily kill those it fears might have been compromised, so why wasn't he killed? If you ask me, it points to people with emotional ties to each other running boko haram, either friends or family. All Kabiru Sokoto's friends and family should be brought in and the secret to boko haram will be found. |
Can someone tell jp philips not to post his long stories? ![]() |
rolchi:You sign a contract to drill oil. If you don't like the contract, you leave it; someone else will sign. Its that simple. The oil is ours. I find it strange that fellow Nigerians should take up their time to promote ways for Shell and their likes to exploit and colonise us. It is a thoroughly disgraceful attitude. |
Solozzo:The bolded is a bit of a joke. The clause about coercing oil majors to build refineries is not new, in fact it is several years old. We Nigerians for some peculiar reason, prefer to remain ignorant and to also act in ignorance; that is why the nation embacked on truly id!otic protests to remain slaves to the subsidy, whereas they should have been burning down the place for the PIB. The PIB guarantees so much for Nigeria, it would multiply our earnings from the oil industry by a whopping 7 times. But the oil marketers and majors naturally see it as an impediment to their fraudulent cash and Nigerians being the ignorant beings that we are, took to the streets to fight on the side of the marketers! How crazy can things get? Sometimes you wonder! |
The day that phucking constitution is kicked into the trash can will be Nigerias true Independence Day. All Nigerian's are slaves to a document that was designed to keep the country in the perpetual grip of ex-generals, but the vast majority remain ignorant and prefer to fight themselves foolishly. Throw away the current constitution and give us true federalism. Let each citizen, state, culture and region be truly represented; let Nigeria become a land where each and everyone has a sense of belonging, not as it currently is where the citizen is merely an observer on a piece of land stolen from his forbears. Let Nigeria become "OUR NIGERIA." I am sick and tired of going around in circles because the operating manual of the country is an operating manual for chaos. We need to do away with the constitution and give ourselves one that provides an abiding philosophy of what being a Nigerian entails; something that the man on the street can key into and feel motivation, belonging and hope. We require a philosophical document such as the founding fathers of America gave their country, a philosophy that makes the American flag a thing of immense pride to the American and see's the smallest in society dreaming the big dreams that have produced Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, the Internet itself etc. We need a similar philosophical grounding to weld us into one, in dreams, hopes and aspiration; something that can make the nation act as a unit to develop relentlessly to create wealth, satisfaction and fulfilment. I am with Wole Soyinka. |
God bless Alhaji Muhammadu for speaking out. May his soul rest in peace. He was gunned down by cowards who shot an unarmed man; I pray that the govt takes care of his family, even if compensation will not bring back a loved one. |
^ Lol! muyoto:Our N20 police officers dropped him off somewhere nice. Simple. The members of the police should be lined up against a wall and summarily executed. |
He was recaptured on Friday in the eastern state of Taraba, which borders neighboring West African country Chad.http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/10/us-nigeria-sect-idUSTRE8190OL20120210 I believe Reuters meant Cameroon sha. Anyways, UP GEJ! |

CuteTj:Fingers are not equal? I made the reply below to someone else yesterday, but its apt here too: If other states are not developing, then it is their fault. It is also their fault if they do not have the money to develop.https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=865639.msg10154955#msg10154955 In Nigeria, we believe in handouts instead of going out there to sweat, produce and innovate. There is something to make money out of in every state, even if the lazy state governors do not recognise their people as the ultimate resource to be invested in. If you ask me, the phrase "federal allocation" is the most embarrassing thing I know of; no able-bodied individual should be on beggars money. It is high time we actually started asking real questions of our governors and LG chairmen. It is only a loud governor that has no sense of responsibility that would boast about building roads funded by World Bank loans. In other countries, it would be LG's building such roads and they would be doing it from internally generated funds, not beggars money from Abuja or World Bank loans underwritten by Abuja (because the states are bankrupt). Aregbesola is a noisemaker, loudly boasting about being the first to get a World Bank loan. "Its like hey! come and rejoice e! We borrowed money!" How useless and utterly ridiculous can a governer get? In any even, he is also a liar; the World Banks website clearly shows Kaduna benefiting from RAMP as far back as 2008 (like any sensible lot, they did not make noise about it): http://web.worldbank.org/external/projects/main?pagePK=64312881&piPK=64302848&theSitePK=40941&Projectid=P072644 |

OP, you might have a misunderstanding about how a federal system should work. FG should just be an enabler and not have to be feeding them; its like comparing apples and oranges. The states and LG's should be the primary drivers of development who should really be funding the FG. Whilst not encouraging the wastefullness of the Nigerian system, the FG's capital expenditure should never be as much as the states or LG's, otherwise it means the governors and LG bosses are doing fuckall (which they are known for anyway). It is hightime we stopped pointing fingers at the LG for lack of development, we are now running a democracy and no longer under central military authority. Let us begin to ask deep questions about the role of our states and LG's and what part the governors and chairmen have to play. The development of our states and LG's have remained stagnant, because we do not understand the federal structure, so we continue to elect fools and thieves, and to roll over and get phucked. States and LG's have major roles to play in the delivery of development, let us begin to ask deep and serious questions about why they are almost all a failure. Take the US for example, you don't hear that Obama is going around given money to the US states or that the US federal govt is building industries etc; those things are left for states and municipalities (LG's) to deliver instead. The US federal govt only delivers policy, standards, judiciary and defense; it is the states that deliver wealth and push development. |

.North easterners/westerners need to take up the challenge now while the Nigerian structure is still in existence cos they will be in a huge mess if bh succeeds in tearing this country apart(i pity people like Sam nda Isaiah)
