chino11:I believe he feels he should be the number one Ijaw man, otherwise why is he suddenly so loud and always talking about peoples degree's not being up to his own these days? Instead, he is losing the little respect he still had. Its saddening. |
I posted an article some days ago where someone was caught with billions under his bed here on NL. Plus this news has been ongoing for weeks now and should be too big to be ignored. I am surprised that people are still asking if anyone has been caught. @topic We need to computerise every aspect of govt and use biometrics even on agbero's, cos thats the only way we will get people to be accountable until the system is uprooted and rebuilt. |
oyb:You see why I said the message sounded just like you? All of unu sound exactly the same. . . Desperate, hating, red-eyed mofo's. ![]() I can easily imagine you looking pathetically mad, while writing loony messages for Timipre Sylva's "MEND." www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
“This relatively insignificant attack is a reminder of our presence in the creeks of the Niger Delta and a sign of things to come.Lol! This sounds like oyb or one of the other maniacally hate-filled GEJ haters. ![]() |
Tam David West: “Mrs. Ngozi Okonji-Iweala is overblown…” the Professor of Virology said, “in British standard what she made in the university was 2nd class. There is nothing special about her.
Foolish sss, such info should have been kept private. hardly will any other criminal be trailed like this again.
On the surface it appears foolish, buts its following standard practice in the West. For boko haram members, it creates a very terrifying scenario of being doomed even if they attempt to look at their own shadows. How do you operate without a phone? Or with satellites tracking your car (don't doubt it)? Or without internet access? How do you survive knowing that if you revert to the stone age methods of couriers, they aint gonna be tracked? etc etcThe rush to erase such tracks by the guilty will also serve as confirmation to those watching their every move. Recall all the things said about what was expected of Bin Ladens communications? Bruv, there is every need for the SSS to give out such info, cos it strangles operations and causes boko harams to get jittery (recall boko haram killing 6 of their own in panic last week?) and begin to trip themselves. It leads them to walk into an open net with their eyes open; I imagine that many of them fools would already have been picked up since. |
I hope MI5 logs unto NL, they will find quite a few UK based boko haram admiring vampires. |
sheyguy:As designed by the military. Their incursion into politics to which they are not suited has been Nigeria's greatest undoing. Soldiers are trained killers, not administrators, technocrats or intellectuals. |
The anti-GEJ brigade justs breaks the records for pettiness and idiocy with each passing day. ![]() Thats why the Ghanaians have fodder to poke fun at us. Whenever you think you are messing up GEJ with some stup!d petty stuff, or paying foreign newspapers to publish stup!d petty stuff, whenever you do these things, realise that you are really only making a fool of yourself and doing harm to your country. . . And Ghanaians will laugh, small as their country is. |
@candylips Lol! Werin man go do? Grey Beard:Which of the examples are you pointing out? The two winning ones don't have that problem (except I'm mistaken). |

Nigeria is disorganised, because our national structure is a fraud that was designed for theft and exploitation, rather than growth and production. Rather than an equitable society bolstered by strong institutions, we have inequality, death, destruction, wickedness and corruption propped up by chaos. |

Boko Haram: Tambuwal, Sultan to broker dialogue with government By Yusuf Alli, Managing Editor, Northern Operation Tambuwal and Sultan Tambuwal and Sultan The Speaker of the House of Repesentatives, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, are willing to broker dialogue between the Federal Government and the Islamic sect,Boko Haram. But Hon.Tambuwal has predicated such intervention on the readiness of the sect leaders to “reveal their identities.” He was reacting to a report that the sect had sent a letter to him,the Sultan and the Acting Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Lawal Zayannu, to facilitate the release of its detained members. His statement also came against the background of an offer by President Goodluck Jonathan to discuss peace with the group. Speaker Tambuwal denied receiving any such letter. His Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs,Imam Imam,in a statement in Abuja yesterday said:”The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has refuted reports that Boko Haram sect had sent a letter to some influential people in Sokoto State, including himself, seeking their intervention for the release of some of the members of the sect being detained by the authorities in the state. “The Speaker said neither himself, the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Saad Abubakar nor the Acting Governor of Sokoto State received the purported letter or know the identity of those that claimed to have sent it. “We are yet to receive any letter from the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’ati wal Jihad, aka Boko Haram, and we are not aware of the alleged arrest and detention of any of their members. Importantly, we are yet to ascertain which of their members are behind bars and which security agency arrested them. “The Speaker, however, challenged the Boko Haram leaders to reveal their identities and the identity of any of their members arrested in Sokoto State in order for them to intervene and resolve the matter amicably without resorting to bloodshed and destruction of property. “He said himself, the Sultan and the Acting Governor were ever ready to intervene in the matter in the spirit of dialogue as canvassed by President Goodluck Jonathan, and called on the sect to reveal their identity for the process of dialogue to commence. “Hon. Tambuwal charged the Boko Haram sect to shun acts of violence in expressing their grievances, and advised them to capitalise on the initiative of the President to enter into dialogue with it, and restore the country to path of peace and security.” President Goodluck Jonathan, in a recent interview with Reuters, first spoke of government’s readiness to dialogue with the sect “if they clearly identify themselves now and say this is the reason we are resisting, this is the reason we are confronting government or this is the reason we destroy some innocent people and their properties.” He added: ”We will dialogue, let us know your problems, but if they don’t identify themselves, who will you dialogue with?” His National Security Adviser (NSA), Gen.Owoeye Andrew Azazi, in a separate interview with Reuters said government was looking at broadening efforts to end the Boko Haram insurgency beyond pure security measures. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/35654-boko-haram-tambuwal-sultan-to-broker-dialogue-with-government.html |
Arrested kingpin is Boko Haram’s spokesman, SSS insists By Yusuf Alli, Managing Editor, Northern Operation 15 hours 22 minutes ago Abubakar Abubakar The State Security Service yesterday insisted that the suspect in its custody is the spokesman of Boko Haram, Abu Qaqa, contrary to the claim of the sect. The service has also launched a fresh manhunt for more top leaders of the sect. The SSS made its position known in confidence through one of its highly-placed officers against the backdrop of the controversy trailing the arrest of the spokesman. It explained that it suspected that Boko Haram might have ‘arranged’ another Abu Qaqa to disprove its breakthrough. The source said: “We are a security agency. We are doing our work; we don’t play politics. “Decisions on dialogue are taken at the political level. In any case, why would someone who they claimed came for dialogue contacts hide under the bed? “Again, we don’t want to be drawn into argument with any group. The person we have been trailing for months and we now have him with us says he is Abu Qaqa. He did not say he is Abu Dardaa.” Responding to a question, another source added: “The voice analysis of the suspect in our custody has very much semblance of the spokesman of Boko Haram. And during interrogation, the man admitted that he is Abu Qaqa. “The voice of ‘emergency Abu Qaqa’, who spoke on the phone with newsmen on Thursday in Maiduguri was different from the ‘real spokesman’ of Boko Haram in our custody. “At the end of our investigation, we will make our findings known to the public and any suspect arrested will face trial accordingly. We won’t unveil the Abu Qaqa in SSS custody yet.” Meanwhile, the SSS has started hunting for more leaders of the dreaded sect. The source said: “The interrogation of Abu Qaqa continued yesterday, we will keep the nation posted accordingly. “We have so far got reasonable clues from Qaqa. But we hope that in the next one week, more revelations will come. So, the fate of the suspect is subjected to internal process of the service.” There were indications yesterday that the Federal Government has ordered security alert nationwide because of the likely reprisals from Boko Haram members. A security source said: “More attention is being paid to flashpoints in the North-East (like Borno, Yobe, Bauchi states) and many parts of the North-West, especially Kano and Kaduna . “We have been ordered to strengthen security nationwide. This applies to all security agencies and the Armed Forces.” http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/35648-arrested-kingpin-is-boko-haram%E2%80%99s-spokesman%2C-sss-insists.html |

How ignorant can someone be. Yoruba and Edo are culturally fused in some ways yet each maintain its own individual identity. No right thinking Yoruba person will call an Edo man Yoruba and vice versa. Nevertheless, the political dispositions of Edos and Yorubas have most times been the same from the very first republic to the current. The major stalwarts of Awo were Edo, just as we are seeing in ACN today. The trend is not going to change any time soon. Obiagu you can take a hike and look northwards for alliance.
there's historical connection with binis, but in honesty, today, an average edo can't understand a word of yoruba, and i would agree that the average edo person sees himself as closer in many ways than one, to some1 from warri, sapele, or even asaba than someone from oshogbo. whether you can stretch it further & say an edo person feels close to someone from owerri than a yoruba person, i doubt, but i coould be wrong. ofcourse, there are people in edo state, other than binis, who feel closer to igbos. yoruba language degradation amongst hitherto 'yoruba' folks is edo state is a key factor. not sure if it was ogbemudia or someone wlse who 'banned' the teaching of yoruba language in those parts in the 70s. the result is that only the elderly & those born before that era can speak yoruba. the younger ones now speak the local dialect and pidgin only.
That is because, historically most Delta State groups are basically Edo's. GenBuhari:Forget about formulaic answers. The OP is asking why there is no #Occupy movement against matters that destroy human lives in the areas where oil is produced. Nchara:My brother, what we are seeing here is the sort of blind jealousy that is the product of a useless set of leaders. What exemplary behaviour can come from those who pitch their tent with a drug baron and serial forger as leader? A subsidy thieving mongrel that has made ethnic bigotry a campaign tool? Like leader, like follower; the followers will only begin to behave like drug barons, serial forgers and ethnic bigots. We can see the direct result on the streets with NURTW and area boys taking over and OPC matching with guns and matchettes in public.
