I really pity Buhari followers. Its like being blind when you have the gift of sight on a platter of gold. Buhari headed NNPC and the petroleum sector almost continuously through his career, yet today it is easy to see the foundations of sand and corruption on which that sector was built. Who should we blame? The man tried to become president by preaching violence and practicing one-eyed politics (campaigning only in the North and dreaming of votes in the South and Middle Belt). It is only in Nigeria that ethnic and religious bigotries can ensure a counterfeit leader can garner 12million votes while running under an untested party. Disgraceful. The mans organisational abilities have been put to test in CPC's query of the election results at the tribunal. A pack of trained monkeys would have done much better in presenting his case; what we see and hear from CPC at the tribunal (whether it is their leaders signing the wrong statements or their disowning of their own publicity secretary) is shockingly embarrassing. Nigeria can do better in future, than reach out to cranks and bigots with tall dreams. |
arsenefc:The only way to get rid of these vultures is to remove the subsidy. All the ex-generals are involved in ra'ping Nigeria in broad daylight, from IBB to Buhari. These people also have strong and active cliques in the armed forces, so they are a dangerous lot indeed. But they have their filthy paws squeezing us by the jugular and reinforcing corruption. Enough is enough. They need to be taken down by every available measure. |
Gbawe:Dunce. You just try very hard to hate on GEJ and talk nonsense. The Senator makes it very clear that his questions were in the 6th senate, which was Yar Adua's tenure, only a fool or serpent would allude to GEJ's "reforms" during Yar Adua's tenure. One day, you will get tired of lying sha. Most tellingly, the man put the blame for the NNPC Act squarely on the military. But for you, GEJ created NNPC and all manner of fuckery you are suddenly alive to in your crusade of deception. Rubbish. Here is your own quote again, in case you diddn't read it before posting it. Gbawe: |
Isn't it a no-brainer why Nigerians ain't winning Nobel prizes? See how many have swung the topic to whether Ibadan is phucked up or not. ![]() |
Nigerians don't get the Nobel prize because we foolishly tear each other down. A Nigerians worst enemy is another Nigerian; you can also add the other Nigerians ethnic group and their religion. Nigerian society has been phucked by years of neglect and most are so frustrated that they will instinctively strike and drag down their helpers the same way a drowning person would. Nigerian society is too phucked to produce a Nobel Laureate, and if it did by some miracle, the same society will "kill them before they grow." "Every time I plant the seed, he seh, kill dem before they grow!" - Bob Marley (I shot the Sheriff) |
The man is a fool. |
To sum up, by every indication, they are the same or worse (with a strong bias to "worse"). |
kodewrita:Damn right. |
This is the sort of thing that makes me want to strangle the next policeman I see! |
talknafree:I guess there's a solid reason why your use name is talknafree. ![]() As they say, na you get you maut, if you like leave for Ikorodu Road, molue go jam am pass! ![]() Gripe all you like, lie all you like, call black white and white black. . . How will that change a thing? The ordinary Nigerian is happilly reporting much improved electricity supply, but we have incurable liars like yourself and Gbawe trying to claim that the situation is fake. Who are you actually fooling? Dude, it is just yourselves. Every passing day, the likes of yourself and Gbawe, expose yourselves for the people hating, Nigeria hating hypocrites, liars, hyena's, vultures and vampires that you are. You fellows can continue living in your strange cuckoo land where your everyday realities are so defined by various hatreds and bigotries that when you open your mouths its like a madmans jambory. Lol I expect aliens like yourself and Gbawe to pack back to Ghana and leave our 9ja for us. We are slowly but surely making the super-human efforts needed to rearrange and refocus the tectonic plates that had hitherto been grinding a an epic path to a destiny of doom. We don't need you dishonest lazy louts that scream like hysterical six year old girls and go into mourning each time the country takes another progressive step. Dude, it isn't clever to keep spouting foolishness in the face of stark evidence. Electricity supply keeps improving with each passing week, because for the first time, we have a civilised govt that cares; not your "strong", "goliath", "military general" type that ra'ped your women and frog-jumped you in the presence of your kids before stealing the milk from your babies. Cry all you like, creature of the night. Nigerians are in the new and welcome era of Fresh Air! ![]() |
coogar: You're not serious! That is when I actually start looking. Going to church should be a pleasant and uplifting experience. ![]() |

Instead of Gbawe to be here to defend his mentor, he is running around NL threatening to use his thin k-legs legs to beat JohnDoe! ![]() Please someone tell us how Osun is justified with a character like Aregbesola? Why does he live in Lagos? There are even allegations that he slapped Fashola! |

^ Lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Thanks bro! ![]() |
dustydee:Where did you pluck that from, oga? You guys always take an emotional viewpoint, rather than sit back and take a cold logical look at the issues confronting us. I think you need to read the article quite closely; oil prices are falling, therefore an economy that is 100% dependent on oil would have its currency value drop. . . Has nothing to do with overspending, so I have no regrets about bouncing evil brains brain like an Indian rubber ball. ![]() If we want to avoid such economic swings in future, then we need to diversify our economy away from oil and embrace true federalism, but it seems ALL governors are seeking more oil money from Abuja instead of less, so the widening spiral to nowhere will continue. Its a great opportunity the country has the for the first time our President believes in true federalism, but how is that ever going to be possible when no single state is imaginative or courageous enough to go it alone? You can't eat your cake and have it, depend solely on oil and our currency will swing with the oil price. Everything has a consequence. |
lagcity:What a clown the man is! Something must be done to banish area boys from politics. |
^ You haven't really said how the economy would be affected. There are few poor people that run generators for any reason or who own cars for pleasure. Lets wait to hear the full details, cos its like we are jumping the gun in a way. Its also possible that the removal will be phased over months or that the welfare package will be too juicy to be ignored. So lets wait and see and put our feet down to ensure that the implementation is spot on. |
It is quite clear that the headline is in the usual tabloid style of the Nigerian press. Any clever person can read between the lines and see that David Mark was advising the power and steel committee in the strongest of words to sit up and make 2020 a reality, to which end he would love not to hear about generating 3000MW, but rather see it. The news is told quite differently in other more responsible news papers and on other news websites. |
Are those custom officials ? Daily people from benin republic and Niger enter and leave Nigeria like it is part of their country. No visa, no protocol. That is why I said the appropriate custom officials, I mean well train no nonsense officials.
It will take too many years to train new customs officers if the FG is looking at January. This is basically about kicking the last set of leaches into into the tall grass. Most poor people only buy kerosene for everyday use, kerosene is not subsidised, so govt only has to cover transportation costs in a reasonable way. |
^ Close the borders with who? The current customs men or are we going to import new ones from the Moon? |
^ I support the new President of the Court of Appeal, Musdafa in his suggestion that corruption should be punished with execution. We can adopt the Chinese model where the family of the criminal buys the bullet. ![]() |
Gaddem! These are eye-popping sums indeed! A lot of these folk need to roast in jail forever. |
^ Carry go, sir! You are very entertaining! ![]() Any new "inventions" for us? LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Oya, give yourself one Tyson punch! Gbooom! |
^ None of the two articles you posted mentions overspending even once. . . So, hurray!!! You just declared yourself an "inventor!!!!" Now, jump up and slap yourself! Twai! ![]() |
Take this foolishness elsewhere and stop spamming the forum. |
Evil Brain:You posted an article that points out the root cause to be the massive drop in oil prices, yet you immediately begin to invent a story about over spending. Na wa for you, sir! ![]() First law of creating a thread: Understand what you post before commenting. ![]() . . .Now slap yourself! |
Offensive publication: CPC disowns Fasakin as tribunal decides his fate Oct 13 Written by Tunde Oyesina, Abuja Friday, 07 October 2011 The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), on Thursday, said it could not defend its controversial National Publicity Secretary, Mr Rotimi Fasakin, over the offensive press statement he issued, maligning the integrity of members of the Presidential Election Tribunal. The tribunal, however, fixed October 13 for Fasakin to come and confirm or deny the authorship of the said publication. Fasakin had obeyed the tribunal’s summon by appearing before it on Thursday but refused to deny or confirm his authorship of the said offensive publication published in about five national dailies on September 29, 2011. The said controversial press statement led to the tribunal summoning Nigerian Tribune’s Editor, Mr Edward Dickson and reporter, Christian Okeke, who were later discharged and acquitted after giving evidence that it was issued by Fasakin. During Thursday’s proceeding, counsel for the CPC, Dipo Okpeseyi (SAN), told the five-man tribunal that he had no mandate of the party to defend Fasakin on the offensive publication, adding that he was primarily before the panel to argue the petition brought by the party against the election of President Goodluck Jonathan. ”This issue is not a matter that concerns the petition,” he told the Justice K.B Akaahs-led panel. He also stated that he was not minded in his personal capacity to defend Fasakin, because the offensive publication concerned his primary constituency as a lawyer. When Fasakin discovered that he was completely on his own, he prayed the tribunal for a week’s grace to check his documents in order to ascertain if he issued the said statement or not. Earlier, he had denied receiving the summons issued on him by the tribunal adding that he got to know about the invitation through his friends, A fresh summon was promptly issued on him inside the court room with Fasakin asking for a week’s grace to determine its authorship. Counsel for Jonathan, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), had objected to Fasakin’s request while urging the tribunal to give him 48 hours. Counsel for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Duro Adeyele (SAN), also toed the same line of 48 hours grace for Fasakin. But the tribunal acceded to Fasakin’s request of one week. Meanwhile, President Jonathan and his deputy, Namadi Sambo, on Thursday, closed their defence after they had called several witnesses to testify in their favour. http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/29324-offensive-publication-cpc-disowns-fasakin-as-tribunal-decides-his-fate-oct-13 |
