I think we are missing the point by going down the usual ethnic bashing route. In my opinion, it is dangerous for any region of Nigeria not to have federal representation. The danger I am talking about will affect the region most, because in a year or two (especially toward 2015) is when the real problems of bullying and relegation will begin; it looks like a joke today, but there will be no smiling then. Perhaps, it is already too late and we can only spectate. |
manny4life:I don't think our fiscal policy is the problem (it is a problem). It is more of our production base, it is in such wretched state that it looks almost impossible to tackle. Nigeria is more like a dump than a functioning country and it will take gargantuan effort to cure the various industrial, economic, educational and power generation / fuel supply constraints facing the country. The above regardless, IMHO the FG is taking tentative steps in the right direction by first of all sanitizing the petroleum sector (the steps taken toward that so far, are a full thread on their own). Before the current govt, our mode of selling oil was as follows:
[li]Shell (or similar) would drill oil[/li] [li]Govt would go to Shell to ask how much oil they drilled[/li] [li]Shell would give any figure and pay off officials with hard cash or bunkering deals[/li] [li]At the shipping points, there were no meters to measure how much oil was being pumped into tankers[/li]
All of that has now changed, and the remaining leaches are in the fuel subsidy cycle. They will soon be gone too. So, bruv a lot has been done in that area although its been all done quietly (there's little choice when mega powers are being dealt with). As for improving our production base and diversifying the economy, please view my last post before this (not the best summary, but it points out where things are going). Aside from that the current govt believes in empowering the private sector, it is in this area I believe they have lagged and a bit more can be done. |
4 Play:The "Gas Revolution" is chugging along, it is meant to move us away from oil well renting to utilizing our abundant gas deposits for chemical, agricultural and energy industries. I don't like the term, Gas Revolution (I prefer understatement), but in many ways thats precisely what it is, a revolution compared to our current abysmal state. http://allafrica.com/stories/201107280643.html http://www.oilandgaspress.com/wp/?p=5414 |
cap28:To your conspiracy theory addled mind GEJ picked Sanusi, not so? Bros, na drugs you de take? Lol! Like I said, go and read the CBN Act, it is very easy and by far the better alternative to talking foolishly here. The CBN is 100% independent. Bruv, why don't you stick to counting birds on the Moon and your other madmans conspiracy stuff? |
With the present set up of the Nigerian system, it is foolhardy not to have a voice at the centre. GEJ has fought hard to rectify the dangerous situation, but things are the way they are. This is just the first year of being outside the Nigerian system and it already looks dire, because there will be loud discussions from any marginalised section, but zero traction; its powerlessness and powerlessness always becomes increasingly dangerous. The current situation is only bound to intensify when Tinubu's long stretched out, multiple trials begin in earnest. |
^ It is the truth, my brother. ![]() cap28:You are daft. Go and read the CBN act and you will find that it is basically 100% independent, its simple to educate yourself. I think you should solely concern yourself with your conspiracy mad theories and counting tree's on the Moon. Matters for the sane are beyond you. |
At least someone is getting to see beyond the falcities that many post on NL to promote Fashola and ACN. The funny thing is that most of those posting pics are abroad, so they simply walk up to something in Europe or the US and post it as plans for what is being built. But its all lies. Its good you have seen with your own eyes, go around with your camera and take a lot of pics of threalities you've seen as against the pics on NL. |
^ You can continue with your toddler posts, they make you look every bit the simpleton you are. Shame. You never ever make any input to matters on NL, its always one display of childish stup!dity or the other. |
olas2u:Where exactly did I misinform anybody? And if you already know what I said to be true, how can you then turn around and claim to have been misinformed? Dude, what you and the other vultures here are doing are telling bare-faced lies and you know it. Cowards operate in packs, so keep it up. |
@OP The best way to make your state known is to keep telling people about it, not hiding behind Kano. Here on NL, there have been many threads praising Sule Lamido, so its not as bad as it is out there on the streets. You can also post threads about your state, maybe about its culture and history (personal religion and politics will be a no-no on NL). @topic For the most unknown states, everyone seems to forget Zamfara! It should be: Yobe Zamfara Kebbi Gombe Nasarawa |
^ Lol! Loser, wipe your tears, cos you lost the elections. olas2u:Of course, I'm smarter than you. Die. ![]() dayokanu:"The other half are people who just wish to air their ill-breeding by hauling insults at the President." |
Half of the people posting here do not understand the simple fact that as Nigeria cannot produce simple toothpicks and sells nothing but oil, the value of our currency will swing with the oil price if left alone. In the past, the CBN has always fixed the Naira artificially to the dollar; if the Naira falls this time therefore, it is 100% due to Sanusi and the CBN. The other half are people who just wish to air their ill-breeding by hauling insults at the President. |
igboitalo: The greatest error in Nigerian history was making the central bank totally independent. Something has to be done to restore sanity. Donlittle: where is beaf? Otunbakay: I think u deserve an award here on nairaland; as the most 'UNREASONABLE' person on this forum, to add to your huge pay package so that u can be more fulfilled in your choosen career. redsun: I bet he wants central bank to be controlled by MEND.Ogororo man,he is such a creek man, born to catch fish crudely.Without reservation, every last one of the above posters is an !mbecile that cannot tackle the simplest intellectual issue. That is why they attempt to personalise matters, it is the way of fools and agbero's. |
El-Rufai thought he would become a minister, but when GEJ thought otherwise, di man come begin vex wella! since then, it has been story upon story from El-Rufai. |
koruji:Hmmmm! I can see you are welded firmly to your railroad. The tracks lead nowhere, bro! And there be nuffink in the shadows either. --. . .Creatures in the night. . . creeping, creeeeping, creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping to get ya!-- ![]() |
@ Beaf Those are not what am asking for. . .just like Jay Z naming a song FREEMASON. When you go through the lyrics of the song, you discover that he was actually denying anything that has to do with them. But, then those are the ways of attaining fame i.e by delibrate rebellion. He painstakingly tried to distance himself from them. Ofcourse, i know about redirecting a site to another, but the big picture here is the subconscious massage is entirely different. The explanations are beyond a mere joke. So who is paying for yearly domain name subscription? I owned a site which i pay 20K annual subscription else the site wont be accessible. Why do they(NSA) allow such to be going on, knowing the implication of "flying rumour"? The reality of all that is,illuminati is real and the whole world is by their grip. I believe in conspiracy when it became glaring.
I have domain names that I am not using, in fact some are even effectively lost, because I've basically forgotten they exist. I am sure there are a lot of people who are the same. The guy in question too can easily afford it, he is a techie who works in robotics and has taken part in DARPA races (where driverless cars race through the raw desert for about a 100 kilometres); he certainly can afford to keep any number of domain names he likes. As for NSA allowing such, in fact it makes them very happy. The more people talk about the power and World dominance of illuminati (even though its not working with China), the more they can use it as cover to hide real stuff. It is just like the UFO thing, they help all sorts of cranks publish their stuff so that nobody will believe that certain advanced craft exist. Its all high IQ. |
koruji:You have just painted a vivid picture of a deer caught in the headlamps. In this case though, the headlamps are of severe prejudice. It makes you a man on a railroad to nowhere who see's imaginary creatures attacking him. Not a good place to be. How many times have I told you I don't work for GEJ? Yet each time you come back with even stronger nonsense, dude you are as trapped by your set views as a religious bigot is trapped by their dogma. Very unhealthy indeed. You hate GEJ because of Beaf? My guy, you aren't the baby you make yourself out to be. There must be at least one good tuft of greying hair in your musty arse. Lighten up, bro! It is as if you actually think GEJ is chasing you on NL. . . Scaring you. So you keep looking over your shoulder with crazed fevered eyes, fighting shadows, ducking when nothing has been thrown at you, flying into unfathomable rages and throwing childish tantrums. Its fun to watch, but it is unhealthy; I only feel sorry for you. . . .Anyways, to round up; ACN governors have turned out to be duds and Aregbesola especially has turned out to be the most useless politician to have ever hit the shores of Nigeria. His uselessness is of extraordinary proportions that cannot be matched. |
Onlytruth:Dude, with the way Nigeria is I actually want it to be legal for me to pack a rocket launcher in my boot. ![]() |
koruji:You got me fooled with that one! Not with the way you've been going overboard to defend that rotten clown, Aregbesola! LOLZZZZZZ!!!! So I hold a cane to stop you from providing "honest criticism"? Why would you need to lie because of my position in an argument? Thats a strange one, bro. At the time we were all chasing Ibori, I never really heard any serious voice crying, "oh, he is Urhobo! Phuck off if you're not from Delta!" That is the way it should be. Yet, the sort of barbaric stuff one hears from you people concerning Aregbesola and Tinubu reads, "oh, he is Yoruba! He is ACN! Phuck off if you're not from SW!" Its a real disgrace, a criminal is a criminal regardless of what cardinal point on the map they hail from. Shame on you. |
koruji:If you like paralyse yourself with the anger of defeat, because you people sold duds to yourselves. . . And now, you are shocked and ashamed that your RASCALS have quickly established themselves as duds and political fungi. They are as useless as the regular politician, the sugar coating has dropped off to reveal some truly fugly mongrels indeed. . . 50billa to cut grass, kill mosquito's and chase errant goats around town!!! Na wa! ![]() Kill yourself with anger, bro! Abeg, the matter is too funny! www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |

Still waiting for explanation from our cyber gurus.
Simple, you put a redirect to send the browser anywhere you like. Dude, don't be deceived by cranks and conmen. That domain name was registered by someone called John Fenley in 2002 (it would be interesting to find out what google throws up about the mischief maker). Details for domain name, www.itanimulli.com |
I'm sure there will be many more foolish responses, even after Bankole is jailed. |
The greatest error in Nigerian history was making the central bank totally independent. Something has to be done to restore sanity. |
This thread is just more "Earth is flat" conspiracy crap. If you want to really stare into the crazed eyes of madness, click on this link, then proceed to Yaba left: http://theflatearthsociety.org/cms/ Yeah, they argue vehemently in this day and age that the Earth is flat: The modern age of the Flat Earth Society dates back to the early 1800s, when it was founded by Samuel Birley Rowbotham, an English inventor. Samuel Rowbotham's Flat Earth views were based largely on literal interpretation of Bible passages. His system, called Zetetic Astronomy, held that the earth is a flat disk centered at the North Pole and bounded along its southern edge by a wall of ice, with the sun, moon, planets, and stars only a few hundred miles above the surface of the earth. After Rowbotham's death in 1884, followers of his Zetetic Astronomy founded the Universal Zetetic Society.http://theflatearthsociety.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=65 If you honestly think you are crazy, just know that somewhere on Gods good Earth there are much worse cases. What can I say! Be happy in your madness! |
koruji:When you people have been logically whooped and intellectually KO'd, you start abusing and barking like dogs. Its actually very funny to watch! Come on then, bark! Woof Woof! ![]() It won't change one fact; ACN governors led by the RASCAL, Aregbesola are bloody useless. ![]() |
Fashola should demolish the shanties as many times as they are built, we can't wait for everybody to be rich before do what we have, the truth is everybody can not be rich. Besides, the traders in abbatoir are not poor.
They are not poor but decide to live in shanties? Lol! Dis NL pipul and dia wonderful stories! |
kpogede77:My guy, there are meetings going on all over the place. Some good, some bad. The meetings you should be attending are the ones for the actualisation on Niger Delta Republic, not the ones about bullying aboki's that our guests and who we owe a duty of hospitality. If the time ever comes to pick up weapons to free our lands, then by all means lets do it, but in the meantime leave aboki in Warri, pilele, Ughelli etc. They are just shoe makers and other poor people. Ps. Are you talking about a doctor that got killed? I know the guy. |
This kpogede77 sef and dry raking! ![]() |
koruji:When its time to defend Tinubu's corruption, you answer, "present sir!" When good folk point out Aregbesola's corruption, you answer, "do you want to fight boy!" Lol! You are starting to sound emptier and angrier every passing day! Is it something you eat? LOLZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!! |
2mch:Dude, it is up to your state to create jobs. The FG simply doles out money and helps where it can. Ask your governor to create jobs instead of planting non-functional flowers. The FG isn't there to feed you and clean your arse. You can dance from here to Ijebu or Lokoja trying to derail the topic, it doesn't change a thing that your state is not upholding the fundamental human rights of its residents by making the poor homeless. That is something to be very ashamed of. |
