PointB: Why do you need Beaf to post that link for you, when you can always view it here:Thanks bruv, this is the Sahara Reporters we know. Manufacturers of fake "news" for the highest bidder (Buhari, El-Rufai, Tinubu). |
freshmoney: You have no iota of precocity. So a patriotic Nigerian is now nick-named a hater? Who feels any aversion towards you other than your looting president? Keep leaving everything to God, you naive people! You are a hater, bro. You and your crew specialise in lying, fraud and boko haram; simply because you lost the elections. Loser. |
^ Nice! Lol! ![]() Katsumoto: A cursory look through the websites of most respected media houses such as CNN, BBC, etc will answer that question let alone right wing websites in the US and left wing sites in the UK.You mean extremist websites like the tea parties etc? Wetin man no go hear? Is your dream to emulate right wing politicians? Next thing, you would begin to justify the KKK - thats exactly who many people here sound anyway. Dude, if you do not know about the corruption in the UK, from the Rupert Mudoch saga to bribes to see Cameron to sales of brownfield sites, NHS etc; then I give up. I would normally expect much more from you. Perhaps, the British are expected to be hauling racsist insults at David Camerons village for many of us Nigerians to understand. They are simply highly civilised and choose cerebral ways to deal with their stuff, whereas we choose animal instincts. |
^ Do those things sound remotely like the id!otic and rascist things you say? Just admit it that you guys are gutter bred. Katsumoto: So basically, most Nigerians should be dead before the agenda delivers? Can you suggest such a strategy? That strategy must take note of the politics of oil blocks (especially which licenses are expiring between 2016 and 2018 ); the makeup of customs and excise, the CBN, printing and minting, agric, police, sharia, abysmal poverty in the core-North (and the corruption that makes it a weapon), unbelievable treachery from ACN, breakaway yearnings in the SE/SS, an equitable citizen-state contract, pathetic levels of ignorance in the streets, the Nigerian love of shouting before thinking etc etc. Anything short of the above is merely the usual loud, cheap talk that we Nigerians have accepted as our culture. |
Eziachi: No, by definition, GEJ is your servant, since when did your boy-boy start demanding the masters respect or get fired? If a politician does't like what you are calling insult, he is free to resign. Go and ask real leader-servants like Obama, David Cameron etc what real insult means but they still maintained the fact that they deserved it.You are too old to lie so freely, sir. What are the insults Obama and Cameron are receiving? One great thing you can give to the British is that they are very highly civilised. As corrupt as David Camerons govt is, the people do no debase themselves by resorting to gutter words and tactics like some of you desperate losers in Nigeria. Neither do they resort to the bestiality of killing the innocent in the ghoulish belief that blood spilling, anything goes, lying politics is something to be hugged and cuddled like you pathetic losers in Nigeria. Whatever you do, do not besmirch the culture's of the US and the UK when trying to justify the bestial and primitive behaviour of your political bedfellows. Culture is a primary reason those countries are developed, while the bloodlusting bestiality and primitive outlook of your bedfellows is the reason Nigeria is under-developed and sinking. |
We are now used to the usual id!ots manufacturing "delegates" each time GEJ travels. The desperation of election losers and pathetic mud-munchers in Nigeria is really scary. ![]() |
philip0906: stop ranting like a lunatic. . .its simple-if Buhari is the person behind d bombings, let ur boss grow balls and arrest him so that d country can have peace(if it ever will). If not SHUT DA F. .CUK UPI am sure you do not realise that you sound like a lunatic (just like Buhari). Lol! |
Buhari is a man of violence and bloodshed. There is not one sinew of civilisation in that man. |
--Beaf ignores a boko haram luv'n tramp from the gutter-- |
OmoLisabi: I will never join issues with uncouth tongues like you. Now you are quick to attacking my daddy because i label your drunken tribesmen a FAILURE. Is there any justification for your gutter attitude? You need serious mental surgery.Lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! ![]() What is so painful about the question, bro? I'm sure you fetched the word, retardeen is straight out of the gutter and directed at someones elses dad. No? So, what makes yours special if you throw the gutter at others? Is it your lack of upbringing? Thats the way it comes across... Born in the gutter, behave like the gutter. Seen? ![]() |
Johndoe100: @OPI think people really don't understand, especially the fools in ACN. |
Rewind... Ardedaryor: poor story indeed......Sadly, Gbawe has a knack for posting poor stories in his desperate stampede for bad news and new excuses to insult the President who could be his father. Its a display of gutter upbringing. This is Gbawe displaying his true colours the inner disturbances and bitterness that drive his NL posts; he is in full flow, praising boko haram for having the stomach to take on the govt: Gbawe:https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-837167.0.html#msg9883217 |
Going by the way El-Rufai obviously enjoys boko haram strikes on twitter like a vampire, it is quite possible he is a sponsor. In fact, many expect it. The man and his followers are so full of hatred that it wouldn't be in the least bit surprising if they kill when no one is looking. |
Kobojunkie hates Niger Deltans with a passion, that explains his actions (yes, kobojunkie is a sad man pretending to be a woman). He once supported oyb to say all Niger Deltans should be herded into cattle cars and gassed. @topic Oil is what holds the nation together and the oil is only flowing now because... You know the the drill! |
malc619: Oga Omokri, how work nau??Since I am not Reno Omokori (how that affects you is best determined by your low IQ anyway), it only confirms my original assertion that you seem unhealthily stup!d. |
Please mods, would you be so kind as to ban onomeasike (and throw away the key) for stalking me? To see how wonderfully sick the guy is, please simply read the posts on his profile, its like 99% - 100% psychotic stuff about his favourite topic (which unfortunately happens to be me): https://www.nairaland.com/onomeasike/posts Thanks. |
Novice1: Why are they particular about locating the cash? They want to trace whose accounts it has gone into. Any such person would be implicated, so far as they had any influence over the subsidy probe (thats why the money was marked). |
Police contact banks in search for Lawan’s $620,000 bribe By Yusuf Alli, Abuja 1 hour ago Task Force retrieves video tape from SSS SUSPENDED lawmaker Farouk Lawan yesterday appeared before the Police Special Task Force probing the bribe-for-clearance scandal. The police are searching for the $620,000 bribe businessman Femi Otedola gave Lawan, chairman of the House Committee which probed the fuel subsidy scandal. Lawan has confessed that he collected the cash, saying it was to prove that Otedola bribed him. The Zenon Oil chair says the lawmaker put pressure on him to part with the money, which security agents gave to him to facilitate a sting operation against Lawan. Also yesterday, the police began a fresh analysis of the video tape of the bribery saga and launched a fresh search for the cash, which Lawan has refused to surrender. The police retrieved the video tape from the State Security Service (SSS), which conducted the sting operation. Besides, the police sent enquiries to banks on any trace of a “strange lodgment” of such amount in the last one and a half months. But members of the Lawan Ad Hoc Committee are yet to get any police invitation on the bribe, contrary to some reports. Investigations by our correspondent revealed that Lawan barely spent one hour with the police team, which asked him to report again tomorrow. A police source said: “The Representative came to us without any response yet on how to facilitate contact with the Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotics, Drugs and Financial Crimes, Mr. Adam Jagaba. “After a short interaction with Lawan, the lawmaker was asked to go and report on Wednesday for further briefing on the matter.” Asked whether Lawan produced the cash, the police source said: “Not yet. We are expecting to hear from Jagaba.” One of the counsel to Lawal, Mr. Israel Olorundare (SAN), said: “The lawmaker was with the police and he was asked to come back on Wednesday. He was just there briefly.” The source, however, added that the police are looking beyond the intrigues over the whereabouts of the money. “I can conveniently tell you that we have retrieved the video tape to get the details of what transpired between Otedola and Lawan. We are reviewing this tape to determine the extent of the involvement of others in the bribery. “The review will enable us to re-invite Otedola and Lawan for interaction. “So far, we are still exploring clues on how to get the bribe, including checking lodgements in and out of Lawan’s accounts and a few other suspected accomplices. “It may task us a bit but we are hopeful that we will get the bribe sum. We have also been relating with banks in tracking down the money. “We have isolated some banks for investigation. We hope they will cooperate with us.” As at press time, there were strong indications that members of the Ad Hoc Committee were yet to be invited by the police. A member of the committee, who spoke in confidence, said: “None of us has received any letter of invitation or summon from the Police. “But since we have nothing to hide, we will honour the police, if they want us.” http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/50771-police-contact-banks-in-search-for-lawan%E2%80%99s-$620,000-bribe.html |

Quite clearly, the money has walked into various bank accounts. This is where the mechanisms to trace marked money come in handly; lets expect more people to be locked away. |
Farouk Lawan yet to surrender $620,000 bribe •Police to quiz more Rep members •Get transcripts of phone conversations Written by Chris Agbambu and Taiwo Adisa, Abuja Tuesday, 19 June 2012 EMBATTLED House of Representatives member, Farouk Lawan, on Monday, failed to produce the $620,000 bribe allegedly offered to him and the erstwhile secretary of the fuel subsidy regime probe panel, Boniface Emenalo, by Zenon Oil chairman, Femi Otedola. However, in compliance with one of his core conditions for bail, Lawan reported to the investigators at about 12 noon and walked out at about 1.25 p.m. Informed sources at the Force Headquarters disclosed to the Nigerian Tribune that the embattled House of Representatives member pleaded with the investigators to give him more time to gather the money in question. Lawan, who dressed in a brown caftan, was accompanied by one of his aides to the Force Headquarters. Lawan’s statement to the police said that when he collected the money from Otedola, knowing that it was a set-up, he gave the money to the House Committee on Financial Crimes to keep it in safe custody. Nigerian Tribune also gathered authoritatively that the House Committee Chairman on Financial Crimes may be invited by detectives on the whereabouts of the money, when the House reconvenes today. The source disclosed that it would be difficult to retrieve the money since Lawan already knew that the money in question would be used as exhibit to prosecute him. However, Force spokesman, Frank Mba, told the Nigerian Tribune that in compliance with one of the conditions for bail, Lawan reported as directed and was allowed to go home. According to him, that in itself was an indication that investigations were still ongoing and, indeed, they were still investigating. On why Lawan did not produce the $620,000 as directed, the spokesman simply said “the matter is still ongoing.” He appealed to the media to avoid speculative and sensational reportage of the matter, so as not to jeopardise investigations into the whole saga. The force spokesman added that at the moment, they had done a preliminary investigation into the matter and the report submitted to the Inspector General of Police, adding that at the appropriate time, when the comprehensive report was ready, Nigerians would be informed of the outcome. “At the moment, we are trying to avoid acting on comments that will jeopardise our investigations,” he said. Police to quiz more Reps, get transcripts of phone conversations Police investigators handling the $3 million bribery saga rocking the House of Representatives ad hoc commitee which probed the fuel subsidy scheme have concluded arrangements to interrogate more members of the committee linked with the saga. This decision was said to have been taken after the receipt of further recordings from the State Security Services (SSS), which conducted the initial investigation into the matter. Information at the disposal of the Nigerian Tribune confirmed that police investigators had received further details from the SSS, including some of the eight recordings done at the home of oil magnate, Mr Femi Otedola. The police was also said to have received audio recordings from telephone conversations between Otedola and Honourable Farouk Lawan, the prime accused in the saga. Soures, however, said all those linked with the saga, as contained in the interactions between Otedola and Lawan, would be invited for further interrogation. “Ï can tell you that the investigators are already anaylysing the tapes and the recordings done in respect of the operation. There are a number of tips coming from the recordings and conversations between the two prime figures in this case. The investigators are taking their time to sort out who is who,” a source close to the investigators said. It was also learnt that the police would seek leave of the speaker of the House of Representatives to release whoever was suspected to be in the know of the bribery saga. It was gathered that though Farouk and Boniface Emenalo, were the two people who handled the cash directly, the lawmaker did indicate during the conversations that he was working in concert with some others. For instance, in one of the tapes, Otedola had asked Lawan how he would handle the matter and he was said to have assured Otedola not to worry, adding that he had been in the House since 1999. “The impression in all the tapes and audio recordings are that he was not acting alone and the police are ready to get to the root of this,” a source close to the force said. http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/front-page-news/42787-farouk-lawan-yet-to-surrender-620000-bribe-police-to-quiz-more-rep-members-get-transcripts-of-phone-conversations |

petokey: They love attacking at nyte. The innocent will suffer this 9t. Kakuri, trikania, reabilitation and nasarawa is in chaos this 9t. I hope i will survive it.You will, by the Grace of God. Stay strong. |
BoboYekini: beaf, so you can be this useful?I find your post condescending, bro. Aside from that, calling me evil just shows that you really have a very poor grasp of Nigeria's political terrain; my brother, it is the greatest wisdom to learn how the country functions, or you will continue to think that white is black and black is white. The reps details are on this thread, you'll find them on the last couple of pages. |
ogugua88: You made my head swell small, the way you searched for me in another sectionLol! Let your head swell jare! It is easy to identify people like you who are sincere (even if on the wrong side of the fence). Sincerity, zeal, principle, organisation, clear-headedness and morality are the qualities that are required to make a stand. With those qualities, we can move tectonic plates. It doesn't have to be via email, sis. We should be prepared to burn one or two things if necessary, but only as a last resort. I think we should start with facebook, though. Lol! This thread is quite different from the Eze Ndi Igbo's thread which I also fully support and hope to work with at a future date. That thread is more like a welding initiative centred on Igbo region and culture. We are both aware of the unique history and travails of that region, but lets not digress. If other sections of the country could do what the Eze Ndi Igbo's thread is aiming to, then 99% of the building blocks to salvaging this country would have been laid. ogugua88: Representatives, senators, LG Bosses, and governors all chop moi-moi and cake from the hands of the Nigerian FG. I still believe this problem needs to be pulled from the root, which is the FG. Most of the local officials do not work for us. They do not represent us and we are not their concern. They are in it for themselves. They hear the same stories we hear. They watch the same news we watch. The bombings, car and air disasters, corruption, lack of electricity, clean water, adequate healthcare, etc (THE LIST GOES ON) do not move them. So, how can an email move them? The bolded is simply a statement of acceptance of the status quo. A capitulation, so to speak. It is giving in to the preoccupation the vultures and hyena's have with Abuja, because that is where the free oil money coagulates. Because of the grip these people have on our lives, many of us have lost sight of the keys to our freedom and have also fallen victim to that preoccupation. Yet, we all recognise that our preoccupation with oil brought about Nigeria's downfall and fuels her continued decline. How do you fight your LG boss by fighting the FG? Its like punching the wind, burning France to capture Germany. The foundation of society is community, it is the foundation that builds the leadership. It is in the flames of passion in the bonds that solidify our societal foundation that a national ideology can be forged. It is only through a national ideology that the people can be welded into one; in thought, action and purpose. When the people are one, development and progress will follow. The right battle to wage is at the grassroots level; against our LG boosses, reps, governors and senators - they are the legs the FG stands on. The battle must start from ground level and then reach upwards. Bear in mind that the FG has no checks and balances against the LG, reps, governors or senators. It is we who are the checks and balances, and so long as we remain disorganised and unable to demand accountability, the rot will only deepen. The FG has done its bit by giving them free money anyway. I hope you read the constitutional responsibilities of our LG's that I posted earlier? Shocking how much is neglected, isnt it? Each and every one of us should be asking why our localities are chaotic and wholly dependent on the FG for sustenance like terminally ill patients on life support. It is not that we are all totally individually incapable of attaining heights of creativity, genius and enterprise. I posted this elsawhere, but its useful here: Beaf: What do your state an LG contribute to Nigeria and what have you done to ensure they contribute?https://www.nairaland.com/893780/what-state-lg-contribute-nigeria |

humblebee: GEJ should use the power of his office to jail the culprits they've arrested so far.. isn't it funny how they apprehend these guys and after a while we hear nothing about them, then we pray the others should be caught too. is GEJ not too slow, abi dem swear for d man ni. God will punish him because i believe he can do better. we ought to have seen a few of them killed but firing squad or thrown into jail. So, what do you want to hear about people in SSS cells? You want the SSS to furnish you with daily reports of how the terrorists slept, woke up, had breakfast, were interrogated etc, because you are Jesus? It is difficult to comprehend the daftness behind your post. What exactly do you want to hear about those in custody? Or should they be paraded daily in your village? If you have nothing to post, don't post. ![]() @topic May God preserve the souls of the innocent caught in these troubles. |
It is wrong to label all the dead as boko haram sympathisers. The media houses should understand the sensitivity of the language they put out; they are not in a position to declare anyone to be a boko haram sympathiser. Only the security services can do so. |
