We are in the crazy era where people read headlines and run with it without properly reading and understanding content. It is also sad that the media houses are now into click-baiting Nigerians.

Let's get this. Some top military men assisted in rigging elections for PDP. This is obviously a bad thing, whether it is done by APC or PDP. And because of this bad thing, the present president retired them, because he doesn't want corrupt military men that can be bought with money for political agendas of a few. Now, this is being reported as- since this military men helped PDP, it means they didn't help APC. So, APC got them retired because they didn't help APC. Pathetic.
But u are d one dat didn't read d write-up. Did u see this?
"Although, the Nigerian Army said the affected officers were retired for either involvement in the 2015 general elections or arms procurement fraud, our investigations showed that officers who were not in Nigeria at the time of the elections were also sacked.
That was the case of I.B. Lawson (N/8812) and G.O. Agachi (N/9363) who were Defence Attaches at Nigeria’s missions in China and Benin Republic respectively.
According to a document seen by this newspaper, they retired for allegedly committing “serious offence”.
But they were never informed of their offences nor were they invited to face any panel of inquiry, army insiders say."

Simple and precise, one would have expected this eminent Nigerians to have a better understanding of the current challenges the country is facing rather we are seeing the same pedestrian understanding of issue. Their advice would have made more impact if it highlighted particular areas of concern and point out what needs to be done.

Even cretineous imbeci1 would tell you elections had been rigged significantly ... Yar'adua even admitted to this during his election, but knowing Ugu hawkers knack for fraud and criminal vice, you would naturally defend electoral malfeasance in addition to your love for corruption. God indeed will do the needful to those who bring pains to the masses, but unfortunately for your myopic ethno-centric mindset, those who looted the country blind will be the first in line for God's punishment, those who sabotaged the war against Bokoharam and at the same time pretending my ambition is not worth anyone's life but worth every penny stolen, those who wanted to make Somalia look like a paradise in comparison to Nigeria when he is done with it, those who continue to sabotage oil facility because they lost an election and those who support them for the same blind reason, those who sabotage electrical supply by disrupting gas pipelines , ...etc. Sorry chukz, God is not an beerfraud man who is out to work in the service of bigots and their lackeys.

First thing, I am not a member of APC, God bear me witness, I just have faith in Buhari (which is being greatly tested everyday) and also my dislike for PDP's antecedents made it easy to stand by him.

I'm so sorry you feel the way you do & I totally understand cos I feel worse than you do about this "magical event" (& a host of other missteps and gaffes of this govt ) and I made my reservation known on the thread made by @ presidency handle....

It's a catch 22 situation we've found ourselves.... The alternative?
currently no alternative. But u have to keep speaking up. With ur popularity in this section, u have a voice and an audience. Igbos (including me, so u know it isn't entirely because Gej lost) are clamouring for biafra now more than ever. Do u tink our nation can develope amidst such agitation? Look at the new wave of millitancy. All these point to the polarising nature of buhari. U just need to keep speaking. He may have good intentions but he needs to be seen to be fair. At least Fair like obj and yar'adua. Otherwise he would leave our country worse than he met it

Please go back and confirm the true text of that statement Buhari made. Ignorance is truly a disease and is the cause of most of the bullshit going on in this country. And scoundrels and street urchins like Fayose and Nnamdi KANU are taking advantage of this ôrgy of ignorance. For once we have a President that wants absolutely nothing from the national treasury and sincerely wants to build and secure the nation. But we're allowing those bastards that want the status quo to remain to deceive us. It's a shame and tragedy!
But u are d ignorant one here. Buhari was asked in Washington how he intends to carry the niger-delta along. And he said and I quote. "Constituencies that gave me 5% of their votes cannot in all honesty expect to be carried along... In some issues as constituencies who gave me 97% of their votes. That's the true reality of things". So tell me wat I missed? As for not being interested in the tresury. He is flying 9 presidential jets, barbing his hair yearly with 75million naira, budgeting for aso rock hospital more than all teaching hospitals combined, feeding with more than 1 billion a year and going to U.k with scarce Forex to treat ear infection! Apart from media hype of fighting corruption, tell me what Buhari has really achieved in developing Nigeria's infrastructure, health, education, security? Wat has he done in increasing GDP, increasing d middle class or reducing inflation and unemployment? Diversifying away from oil and helping farmers. I hope u knw these are the real issues not fighting Saraki nd Ekweremmadu.
Politics › Re: Why Buratai, Danbazau Were Not Indicted In Arms Scandal Report – Nigerian Govt by Bede2u(m):
I voted Buhari. I'm Igbo. But I'm currently pissed with him. Have been for sometime. I voted Buhari for 2 main reasons. 1. I felt GEJ's govt wasn't ready to fight corruption and neither was it ready to restructure our polity and diversify away from oil. 2. I felt it was time for the opposition to try their ideas and with buhari being the face of opposition, it was ok to vote for him. I stood in the sun for hours to vote at unn enugu only for him to come on board and declare my people 5%! My vote 5%! He has shown more bigotry than anyother nigerian leader. Its no longer ok for anybody, including modath and other resident apc pple here to cheer this nonsence! It may be hard for me to vote anyoda person not from my tribe after this presidency. So some low ranking officers were indicted in the arms deal but not a major general who was incharge of procurement at the time and who also bought a house (which he even declared) in dubai at the time! Shame!!

is it not funny how pple write very biased views and think they are being objective. The Hausas he mentioned as people of integrity are the ones that produced Abacha, Ibb, shagari, atiku, Gowon, Danjuma, Nyako, Dasuuki, nenadi usman and some pple who have been indicted for financial corruption. I juust dey look d guy. He said he came to Enugu and entered a bus and pple were speaking Igbo. And dats y he felt unwanted. So if u go to Osun state for instance and enter a bus pple will be speaking spanish? He said dat we play victim mentality too much but check his posts and see if he has ever criticed buhari's divisive remarks b4 and after 2015 elections. Delta my backside. Igbos supported Obj (a yorubaman) for re-election. Supported yar'adua a fulani man in 2007, supported Gej an ijaw man in 2011 and 2015 and u are still saying we hate oda nigerians. If u check those elections, u would see dat Igbo men vied for the presidency in all of them. If we are so hateful, we'd have voted Ojukwu in 2003, Pat utomi in 2007 or anyoda igbo man and in 2011 and 2015. Its on record dat igbos are highest in ranking of tribes living outside dia enclaves. Story

These guys are cowards and criminals.

I'm just waiting for them to bring down a plane and they'll be automatically declared a terrorist group.

No one group of criminals can defeat a government in power.
Chevron is an American company. Let the avengers kill Americans and see whether Obama would a and troops or not.

This matter with NDA is still a child's play.

They know the implications of declaring war against the military, hence they're very cautious.

Boko haram is a world acknowledged terrorist group, hence the world is fighting them. Nigerian troops, Cameroonian and Niger troops as well. By the time Avengers start killing people, then there would be complete massacre in the ND.

They can continue to fight pipelines, but when they face human beings like boko haram, their end comes
Ideas of an uninformed child. Many a "one group of criminals" have defeated governments in South Sudan, Libya, Egypt, USSR, Iraq and even probably Syria.

the army seems quite over this, so too are the oil companies, no one is confirming this attacks, undecided
If we want regional let PDP the south dominate initiate it in the national assembly the let's see who will reget it
I foresee a situation were the northern region will tax the food send to the southern region to get revenue, the south south taxing goods imported through her ports
They best placed are the West, the have access to the ocean and very good land for farming
The south East my people will be at the disadvantage, they will lose trillions of investments outside the south East and we don't have enough land to farm, even our oil and gas will be taxed by the south south if it is to pass through there lands for export
The best option remains sticking together

As for this unscrupulous elements called the avengers, there is no excuse for taking up arms against the supreme authority and sooner or later u will face the law... Boko haram did worse, we're are they now??

Why did you think Adeosun is not fit to be the finance minister? Did you come to this conclusion as a result of her performance so far in the last three months or you are going with the skewed and bigoted narratives of the wailers from south east who are desperately trying to bring her down due to the failures of NOI?

In terms of the core duties of a finance minister, can you mention one area where she has failed so far since her appointment?

Of all the ministers in the current cabinet, can you mention just one who has so far performed excellently well?

Seriously, I don't understand why some people have continued to repeat this narrative that Kemi is not doing well, she only came on board three months ago and the first budget that she will implement is still before the National assembly for consideration. Why all these unnecessary criticism?
If you don't thhink this budget issue is a big dent on her reign then I don't know what to tell you. For your info, the ministries of Finance and planning are the two most important in budget formulation and by extention, policy making. So yes she has not performed well and we can say that even after "three months"

That the revealing statement by Aluko necessitated a television broadcast by Gov. Fayose symbolizes the panic mode he is into thus lending credence to same.

To discredit the personality of Aluko rather than disprove his assertions is not only disingenuous but an attempt at diverting attention from the damning revelations by him.

Is his story true or false? That is the relevant issue here! It would help our collective well-being if Fayose could address that.

I listened to the audio recording of the meeting subject matter of the military panel investigation. This man's statement is highly corroborative. Foreign Affairs › EU Urges On Biafran Protesters By Sahara Reporters by Bede2u(op): 4:45pm On Jan 19, 2016
Federica Mogherini, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security has replied Biafra agitators and the Organization of Emerging African States (OEAS) over their call for a referendum.

The OEAS had earlier requested that the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security utilizes their good office to help bring about a referendum for Biafra’s independence.

The OEAS also called for release of all Biafran political prisoners, a stand down of Nigerian forces, and a snap referendum to be held within 90 days.

In response to their request, Mogherini replied Dr., Jonathan Levy, OEAS Chief Administrative Officer, stressing that, the European Union’s official position is that while it has strong diplomatic and economic ties with Nigeria, “protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms remains a priority for the EU and we encourage the authorities [Nigeria] in every occasion to respect such rights.”

The EU went on to advise the OEAS and Biafrans that self-determination and border changes must be in accordance with established international law. The OEAS has called for an internationally recognized referendum on Biafra independence or autonomy. The EU has indicated it will only recognize a Biafra born via international law and not armed secession.

To achieve a referendum, the OEAS advises all nonviolent means should be utilized including general strikes, economic boycotts, work actions, demonstrations, lawsuits, and civil disobedience. Nigeria is a member of The International Labor Organization (ILO). The ILO recognizes the right to engage in general strikes and the right to strike is also recognized in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 (Article 8(1)(d)).
