PreciousJuice: Now that victory is Fayemi's, where are those loud mouthed illiterates doing hate politics on NL, I fear for our youths and d future of the country, PDP failed us and turn this country to barren land, am in shock to see our youths advocating for corruption to fight back against a sane government trying to fix things and change the mentality of going into public office to steal the nation's treasure, yes there is ethnic cleansing in some part and I pray for those affected yet its not entirely the government fault cause most of the killings are sponsored to undermine and distract the government from pursuing its fight against corruption, Thank God its a new dawn in our dear country, let the coming generation learn and know public office is not for stealing but for service and loyalty to our nation, let them grow up to know nobody is untouchable or can go scot free if found guilty of looting and corruption God bless Nigeria, God bless PMB And tell us how Buharis son got 50 million naira to buy a power bike. They meet with Hadi Sirika, they would be investing in the national carrier which would be unveiled sometime next week in the UK airshow.
If this government can pull off this national carrier thing by the December slated date, they definitely had achieved something commendable, as it would create thousands of jobs directly and indirectly, it would also improve the image of Nigeria, our national carrier (Nigerian airways) died in the 90's.
imagine if they also invest in other areas, the jobs that would be created. Your set that think there's something wrong with Nigerian image and can be redeemed by petty stuff alludes me. I don't get the class of people we have in this country. Critical thinking should be a course in the University and compulsory. What rubbish will improve Nigeria's image ? And what image are you talking about? That we will suddenly get rich and over take India ? Or we will be secured and tourism will boom? Or lives will now matter to Buhari and gangstas? A national carrier is nothing if there's no toursim and you can't get touriam boosted without security and power. Name one nation that has a national carrier without developing their tourism sector? We will keep going in circles even in the next 50 years because like the simple way out things which in the long don't solve the core issues. I bet this same carrier will be marred by nepotism and corruption. |

They should've branched out a division catering to mid-range to low end phones manufacturing & sales tho economic dumping grounds ahh over the world.
Oldest trick in the book.
That would have sustained them financially and given then a very fat, very robust bottom-line to keep working their Research Labs, inventing their toys and rolling with the big boys.
Same way HP outsold Compaq, IBM & co to dominate the office automation techn & EQ market. I think they did that but they really lagged behind in terms of design just like Sony. They kept pushing the same designs over and over and I've never seen HTC advertised! |

They knew the price would be outrageous if it goes above 2M. What they did was have the set of class that can shell out 2M have a feel of the car. More like a bait and big gamble at the same time. Sounds like it wasn't too bad of a gamble in the end. Smart moves. |

You have a ticket and you can't read what's on it or what? If you can't understand something as a travel ticket, then that person shouldn't leave their country at all. Ethiopia tourist Visa is easy to get. Your statement before your last one is offensive. When I said "free" I meant visa on arrival. On the immigration page, it's stated clearly! Americans, English, Japanese and some other countries get Visa on arrival which is way easier than me going to apply for a tourist visa. It would have been nice if this was done online but no, it's not. And if you find my second to last sentence offensive, you can look for apology wherever you know they are offering it because I don't owe you one. I stand by what I said and it wasn't personal. Ethiopia is a country I'd like to visit but the government of Ethiopia gives free entry to Westerners, Asians and leave the rest of Africa to go get Visa. This is not how things should work in Africa.
Some of us are richer than most asians and Westerners.
I will rather use that time energy to go get visas for countries that are 1st world, not Ethiopia.
I will visit when they have visa on arrival for my country. |

See where normal humans have evolved to. Do you know that i flew Turkish airlines to Lagos yesterday and the moment the pilot landed nigerians started clapping? This is the 3rd time I'm experiencing this. At first it was a flight to Ghana and then Dubai. I'm so shocked to see that even the well traveled in among us aren't intelligent. The pilot would have crashed the plane or what? Or we aren't suppose to land that warranted the clap ? Many nigerians care more about the trivial things that doesn't require the most functional part of the brain. A girl was saying yesterday that she doesn't like Turkish and the country. I was like you from a shitty country is abhoring a country were things work and people grow ? I was sick of her. Tells me some of us are immune to progress. |

shineforth: Arrived Domodedovo Airport Russia yesterday with my wife from SA.. was a nice and decent flight by emirates . The immigration don day change am for Nigerians although nobody was taken to secondary screening but at least all Nigerians spent close to 7minutes with the immigration officers who were screening and asking for additional documents before allowing to pass. I even saw one emigration officer at the counter maybe calling the hotel where the Naija man booked, Guys they are becoming stricter by the day.. All other passport holders from different country was easy breeze even I with Naija passport was fast tho maybe because I travel a lot with the immigration officer seeing US visa, UK and Schengen visas. She didn't hesitate and stamped me in. Most of the Nigerians I saw had sparkling brand new passports and maybe first time travellers hence they were questioned.
The immigration officer told me not to loose my immigration card and make sure I register with the authorities when I am in so they can welcome me again easily when I apply to visit. She told me they will collect the immigration card and registration docket upon departure. Luckily my very nice Airbnb host did that for my wife and i just hours after I checked in the rented home and gave us the immigration card and our registration slip/docket.
Lastly, unfortunately won't be able to travel to volgograd to watch Nigerian match because of flight ticket price logistics and accommodation price in Volgograd hence I dashed out my wife and I tickets after learning it can't be resold on Fifa site since its late and close by.
Will be at Moscow all through and watch matches at the Fan Zones. went out yesterday night also with wifey to have a feel of the city centre and all we saw was whites everywhere, the blacks we saw was just 3 senegalese. Where are all the Nigerians??.... any show, Any get together in Moscow? Haha. The Nigerians are indoors doing what they know how to do best, Snapchat. I've even moving all about Moscow and St Petersburg. Would have been nice to meet you but we are leaving today after 10 days. You should see some ballet, go to the Bolshoi theater , the red square and the bars too. I was amazed not seeing any Nigerian while touring. Use the metro too. Confusing at first but you will like itband get used to it later on. |
Business › Re: Access Bank Raises $158m From 13 International Banks by BedLam: 9:26am On Jun 20, 2018 |
namet: They're not celebrating the amount of money raised. Access Bank is celebrating their ability to borrow from outsiders or the willingness of banks in other countries to risk their monies with a Nigerian bank, considering the high rate of corruption, insecurity, and instability in parts of the country.
If you have an account with this bank, what you should be woried about is how the high interest rate for this loans will affect you. Will it result in unnecessary fee reduction levied on your balance?
For share holders, is it possible for the high interest rates to diminish your yearly dividend payment and return on your investment?
If Access Bank defaults on this loans, you may suffer losses on your shareholder stocks. If the bank managers use the monies raised to buy a private jet or bullet-proof Range Rover, losses will likely be reported at the end of year and shareholder losses will occur.
For depositors, your account may be charged unnecessary fees or you may lose all your cash if these loans are mismanaged and the bank shuts down. Good thing I don't have account with them but what are they using the borrowed money for ? Doesn't look to me like they will venture into something new or some sort of development that will yield large growth. |
