You might be making a mistake in the sense that you may miss her when you really want to get married. Why not explain how unready you are for marriage right now and if she is willing to do the waiting for the time it takes. Key thing if she can wait- why leave her? McAustin92: I met this pretty lady nearly 4 years ago while i was still in school...but I never knew things would be so serious, cos I was that kinda guy that prefer mutual quickie with no string attached afterwards. as time goes, things got so serious and she was genuinely in love with me even up till now. Even thou there are always side chicks around..but the only thing is this lady is in haste for marriage and seriously I'd came to realize marriage is not for me atleast for now. And currently I knew I'm not even close to being an husband material..I have my points,I'm currently 25 years and the first child of the family,In the next 5 months my NYSC year will lapse and I have plans and targets and I need no distractions. but this my babe had been planning on how we're gonna be living together afterwards with out even considering how I'm gonna be Feeding her cos I'm still a jobless serving corp member..... she'd talked about introduction to my ears more than a thousand times.. but deep down in me,I know I'm not just ready for this shit right now until I'm maybe 28-29.but this Lady in question deserved better from me,cos she was such a responsible, beautiful and a loyal partner in fact the best I'd chill with so far. so I don't wanna waste her time no more and I'd made up my mind to let her go...SO PEOPLE PLS HOW CAN I SAY GOOD BYE TO HER WITHOUT HER FEELING MUCH JILTED OR USED. don't bash me much pls |

I like the last paragraph. This is where OP' sentiments caused a break in his logical reasoning. Doctors always work in hospitals for nysc. They are always in high demand and low supply. And this continues after service. Engineers though have a better analytical ability eventually don't get the opportunity to add engineering value. So they have to be shipped to schools or at best, dead ministries of (no) works. And you see, what is rewarded is value added - sometimes it's perceived value added!! I know this cos i did engineering. Meanwhile, note that while a very intelligent fellow can breeze through engineering, a very photographic brain still has to burn the midnight oil into the morning to scale through Medicine!- it's not beans neither is it moi moi. PS: Engineering students esp. chemical, material should have in mind that the demand for them in the country is far lower than their supply. As such they should begin to think of other things they would like to do after school or think of relocation outside the country. Trust me, even in the petroleum industry, less than 25% of petroleum students will end up there. Meel: Engineering, Law, Accounting, Medicine are all noble profession.
An entry level salary for a graduate of Engineering in oil coys goes as high as 200000. Like someone said it depends on productivity. Some doctors are being paid 30000#( corp in state owned primary health care) while some are being paid #50000 ( tertiary hospital corp)..
Pay always differ base on what you offer to the society and how much your organization can pay.
Engineering is cool, but engr are not given the opportunity to showcase there self. |

I wonder what the thought process is in concluding children should not be beaten. The Bible says if you spare the rod, you will spoil the child!! it's that simple. How many adults will look back and regret that they were beaten? Don't we forget it and joke about it? Sometimes the ONLY language of correction a child understands is usually beating. the punishment is fast and lesson is learnt swiftly. Pain is there- only for a moment but you have transmitted lifelong lessons. You won't beat your children- don't destroy their lives. |

Politics › Re: Fuel Scarcity: NEC Plans Price Review by being(m): 11:56am On Feb 16, 2018 |
The inherent fraud is why I said importation should be limited to NNPC. Touching excess crude account or another account is irrelevant. it's all govt oil income and expense. And apparently, the CBN isn't ready to strengthen exchange rate otherwise FX rate should be less than N300/$ now. Pesuzok: You need to put your points together, you know everything but keep contradicting yourself. It would cost the govt about 500bn a year to subsidise pms not to talk of the fraud through diversion that would be involved.
NNPC does not touch the excess crude account.
Not tortoise logic but the truth, except you build refineries or you reduce your exchange rate with the increase in foreign earnings |
Politics › Re: Fuel Scarcity: NEC Plans Price Review by being(m): 10:16am On Feb 16, 2018*. Modified: 10:32am On Feb 16, 2018 |
Is the government really shelling out? What you imply is despite that we are an oil producing nation, we the citizens should buy fuel at int'l oil price. and that money should be used for capital expenditure. But then what's the point- our consumption is less than 12% of our crude production- with a 25% under recovery, this translates to about 3% net income reduction for the NNPC- why subject people to hardship because of this? especially when you realize that the money could even be embezzled. Reptyle: For as long as we pussy foot around this issue of petroleum pricing, fuel scarcity will persist.
There is simply no way the independent marketers who account for the bulk of products sold in the downstream sector, will retail fuel at N145 after importing at between N170 - N175 per litre. The FG/NNPC can also not continue to shell out billions to subsidise the product in the long term...it is simply not sustainable.
The FG needs to bite the bullet and push for full deregulation once and for all. Sadly we lost a great opportunity in 2012 under the last government with the nationwide protests that greeted the new year announcement of deregulation. It was simply a case of wrong timing given the Christmas season, and the fact that there wasn't any prior engagement with the public and sensitisation. I hope lessons have been learnt on both sides. Government must engage and educate the public on initiatives before implementation.
The government must as a matter of urgency begin to engage at all levels in preparation for full deregulation. The engagements should clearly state all of the palliative measures that will be rolled out in the short term to cushion the short term effects of the anticipated petrol price increase. Also government should as a matter of urgency review and implement the long anticipated increase in the minimum wage to reflect current realities.
The downstream must be deregulated! There is no escaping that bitter pill. |
Politics › Re: Fuel Scarcity: NEC Plans Price Review by being(m): 10:07am On Feb 16, 2018*. Modified: 10:31am On Feb 16, 2018 |
But what exactly is wrong with subsidizing?!!
the only issue I see with it is the fraud that comes with it. which is why nnpc should be the sole importer to at least limit the fraud to nnpc.
When nnpc talks about underrecovery, this amount has already been over recovered by the increase in crude oil price.
You sell unrefined at $40 you buy refined at $50
Now you sell unrefined at $70 you buy refined at $80.
So the loss due to higher import expense has been offset by higher export income.
If we decide not to see it this way and agree on buying at N175 per litre, when oil gets back to it's 2014 price- $110; we will be buying at more than N250 per litre following the same tortoise logic. The question then is why does $110 per barrel of crude in 2014 translate to N97 and then $110 in 2018 translate to N250 per litre of petrol? It's simply the CBN FX rate. (No wonder our reserves is growing in leaps and bounds) That's a story for another day.
What we should be talking about is increasing the capacity of d NNPC to import 100% of our needs while other marketers buy from them.
Some people blamed lack of local refineries for all these price brouhaha- truth is if there are local refineries, are they expected to buy at int'l price and in dollars? if they are, then prices will still be high subject to int'l price. |

Now is a good time to be anywhere on Lagos Island or Victoria Island. There is currently a 1.9 surge till 4pm for those areas. You can try to make use of your destination trip if you have not done so and set it to Either Ajah or Ikeja..you have to set it before you get to the island else it would not go through once you are on the island.wait for the rider and if you are lucky to not get a halfway ride you can smile all the way and when you get to lekki or Ajah after using one destination trip set the second one to Ikeja from Lekki and you are real good at least from those two trips you have at least 6 or 7k..try to be on the island all weekend.its a Surging weekend.happy riding folks.... |

How would that sound for someone on the panel to suggest- she ate our food, therefore she is unfit. Wouldn't that person feel weird? Maybe the oil stain can be used as a bit of excuse but food?!! wristbangle: A young lady was invited to an interview for an entry level role. She arrived at the venue exactly 10minutes before the scheduled time and was asked to stay at the waiting room.
40 minutes later, a young man worked into the waiting room and apologised to her for the delay. He explained to her that the head of HR is trying to resolved an issue with an irate customer but will be with her shortly.
An hour 30mins later, the young man came back to apologize for further delay. This time around asked her if he could ger her lunch. Apparently this young lady was hungry and could no longer bare it. She accepted and a sumptuous meal was served.
She ate to her satisfaction but in the process got her white shirt stained with oil.
Not long after she finished her meal, the head of HR sent for her and immediately the interview began. The first question she was asked was "What happened to your shirt" She explained and the interview continued. At the end of the interview, she was told the usual "we will get back to you". When she got home, she narrated her experience to an HR friend.
Her friend told her it was wrong to have accepted the lunch as it could be used against her during decision making.
Do you agree with the HR friend?

Romance › Re: The Kind Of Guys Women Find Irresistible ( List) by being(m): 6:25pm On Jan 31, 2018 |
this individual is close to a god!! Ladies want to be engaged with gods. Some one who can solve any and every problem, invincible and knows exactly what they need without asking. I guess a sign of maturity for husband finders is when they accept more the humanity of men. Amakavula: I made a thread about how to make men crave you ladies. But the comment section showed something I had suspected for a long time. A lot of guys don't really understand how the woman mind works. So here is a thread for the guys. Below was a cull I took off an article which I agree to a degree with. Enjoy.
A Man Who Will Tell Her “No” - Nice guys, I want you to start saying “no” whenever a girl ask you to do something. Do this for about a week and see the looks they give you change. Girls love a guy who will say “no” and then not explain himself. This is because girls want to be with someone they can trust and they trust a man who will say no because they are being honest about what they want. A Man Who Knows How and When to Touch Her - Whether it’s a delicate touching her hand to accent a point in conversation or wiping a tear off her cheek with your thumb. Knowing when and how to touch her is powerful. She’ll appreciate a man when to be gentle and how to be rough. A Man Who Looks As if He Has it All Figured Out - The reason why women care about a man’s fashion sense is because it is an indication to her on whether he has his life figured out. A man who knows what looks good on him and how to wear an outfit, shows her that he knows how to present himself to the world. This doesn’t stop at fashion. The less clueless you look the more attractive you will be to women. A Man Who Knows When and How to be Dominant - Taking the lead without being domineering is rare skill. You should always look for opportunities to take responsibility during your interactions with women you are interested in. Pick the place the group is going to eat, it doesn’t mean you have to go there, but be the guy who is constantly moving the ball forward. Always try and err on the side of being bossy rather than passive. A Man Who is Persistent but Doesn’t Beg - The way to be persistent without looking needy is to be charming. Asking a girl out multiple times isn’t creepy if you find a way not to be creepy about it. What helps with this is always having a smile, and not looking disheartened if things don’t go your way. Being able to move on and try again is powerful as it shows the girl that you have core confidence and small things don’t shake you. A Man Who Walks Through the World With Ease - No person will make him nervous, no situation will have him looking stressed. He ask for what he wants with a smile, tells you no with a pat on the back. Life looks effortless for him because he’s so good at living his. |

Politics › Re: Will Petrol Sell For N200/Litre In 2018? by being(m): 12:58pm On Dec 30, 2017 |
Wrong!! based on your sayings, fuel price should rise to about N300 if crude rises back to $110 per barrel! But then when crude last sold for that price, landing cost of pms was N141. You see the factor you ain't considering is the FX rate. at this crude price & production, FX rate shouldn't be 306. It should be less. But then isn't that why we have a recent high rate of increase of our forex reserves omohayek: Exactly. You are one of the few who see the issue with real clarity. The question Nigerians now have to ask themselves is whether they value subsidized petrol over the road repairs, bridge building and other infrastructural upgrades that the same funds could have been spent on - it's either going to be one or the other, as the same small sum of money can't be spent twice (and I say "small" because the extra annual revenue Nigeria is earning from higher oil prices is less than a company like Google or Microsoft makes every 3 months, but is expected to fund all sorts of spending for over 180 million people). |
