As much as the situation is sad I see a silver lining. The girl is not all that useless because she actually graduated, meaning she has some sense. She should channel the rejection into something good and make good use of her life.

She is not the one who banned her father from the house. She did the natural thing: if I was been beaten up the most natural thing would be to call a higher authority for help.

Because the engineering opportunities are not there!! We are not industrialized... we import almost all of our manufactured items.
That's why the area where you have some opportunities is civil engineering. Because we build things and can't be flying in an expatriate for that. Some people think it's because engrs are not taught well- it's not. If the opportunities are there, d industry will demand applicable education. Like in Medicine, the lecturers don't joke with it.. same with Law because d industry has placed a demand on d academia

Dont box yourself to engineering. Find the opportunities available around you and choose which you like best and go for it.

To err is human.. It was wrong but just take it as a rash decision of his. Forgive him from your heart. People make mistakes! You have always been a good son and he too has always taken care of you. But now u smoke and he too made this mistake. So forget it, go back, learn trading or a viable skill sọ you can also be earning on your own. But forgive him and go back and máke sure you stop any form of smoking- it's very very bad for your body. Take d pain and stop it
