I get to spend more time with her cause she schools in the state I stay. I left my mom's a long time ago, I saw her last like 4/5 months ago? We only keep tabs by calling / chatting. Sometimes I give her equal money with my mom (but not all the time though). So I don't really get what she's trying to do?
Well, can't say authoritatively what she is trying to do. However, ladies that display such attitude always try whatever they can to sever the man from her parents especially his mother.

Like I said earlier, follow it to a logical conclusion.

Initially that was the first question I asked her, but she said she just wanted to know where she stands. We've not seen since she left but she hasn't brought up the question on phone. She's the type that likes to tell things to your face
Has she at any time expressed dissatisfaction through body language in how you deal with your family?

On your part, are there ways you act to approve your family members while relegating her?

Is there any action of yours towards her not satisfactory enough or shows doubt of love?

Her question is a pointer to many unspoken thoughts going through her mind.

Meanwhile, the answer you gave her is the right answer and the way to go. No love is greater than the other. They all have different place and roles in one's life.

Do not let it slide as one of those jokes. Get to the bottom of it. This is one of the stuffs to watch out for in relationships.

Did you ask her why she wanted to know who you love most?

If she is persistent with this, she is a potential bomb waiting to happen.

Hi just to get somethg straight from masperanos visa now,he has an extra 6months visa wen hes done with school so does that mean he has to apply for his PR within that 6months? and does it also mean he can apply for d post study work visa within the 6months and while working apply for PR? kindly shed light thanks
He is going for a research program. The extra 6 months is for "miscellaneous" months that may come up during research. There are times one get an extension in research study.

However, you can apply for your PR anytime you qualify for it and not until you finish studies except your study will play a major part in your application. You can also apply for a post study visa immediately you finish your course.

Dear Family I'm in deep shiiit, so confused on what to do right now.
How deep is the shit? What type of shit is it? Is it atomic or AK47 shit... How does it smell? If it is nice smelling shit, it is a good shit and if not, call the services of shit removal, Yorubas call them "agbepo".

I just turned 29 few days ago and have been out of a serious relationship for over a year now.
Congratulations on your new age... What values did you add to yourself during this relationship hiatus?

Have been waiting patiently for that right man to come along but unfortunately it only the wrong ones that keep coming my way, they just want to have a feel of my sweet body and off they go, no genuine intentions.
To start with, what is your definition for a right man? What is it in those coming to qualify them as wrong?
I hope you were stingy enough not to let everyone that comes your way to be having a feel of your "sweet body"? Between, picture of the sweet body or ..... cheesy

Now there's a brother that have been friendzoning for over two years now yet he keep persisting
Abraham Lincoln and Pa Buhari must be this brother's mentors.....

good a thing I'm not the type that pretends so I told him from day one he asked me out that I'm not interested in him except on friendship level,
This is maturity. Defining your relationship from onset. Kudos

I told him I don't feel him emotionally but he keep hanging on hoping I change my mind with time, my reasons for rejecting him is cos to me he's not presentable enough and I can't be proud introducing him to my people and again he got no good paid job (why on earth must he be poor and ugly at the same time, what kind of torture is that angry). He's just managing in a private firm that pays less than 50k.
Yes, you told him, you didn't have that emotional/butterfly thingy feeling for him but what you didn't tell him is the reason why you weren't having it. You should have told him that you never dreamt of being in a relationship with a broke nigga. Your taste in guys is rich and handsome. You can't be proud of him because he is not looking good despite having a good heart. He has failed in all ramifications of your assessment. You only told the poor brother half truth. This is what is called being economical with the truth.

I must say your real problem lies in this paragraph. Your desired qualities in men are parochial and vanity. You are not looking out for something that can last you for a lifetime. Vain beauty and empty pocket... It may be why "providence" is not yet smiling on you. You lack the desired wisdom and skill to identify a good man outside his look and pocket. Before you misinterprete me, I am not saying you should be watching out for a poor person but if your motivation is money, it is the foundation of failure.

A broke guy today with passion, vision and ambition can never be broke forever. If you lack the Eagle's eyes, you can never see potentials in a gold mine. Diamond, Gold and every precious metal does not come shinning until they pass through fire.

My question is, if you call someone broke, why are you broke yourself? I thought some of you ladies are of the opinion that you are not marrying any guy for his money.

But what makes me have a rethink is the character of this my friendzoned brother, he keeps in touch despite my rejecting him, he even offer little financial assistance when I'm in need, when I asked him why he's doing all these to a girl that openly reject him he claims he has faith that I'll consider him one day, sometimes I'm forced to suspect if he has cast a spell on me so another good man won't come my way.
In this, it is this guy that I have pity for. He doesn't know why you don't like him. If he suddenly becomes rich tomorrow, I am sure your love will come so strong for the poor dude... The guy likes you and he thinks he can't get someone better than you. It is why he is hopelessly waiting. When I was very much younger and of no experience, I waited endlessly and hopelessly for a girl like this till heavens borrowed me brain...

Now he has called to schedule a date tomorrow and I know as usual he wants to remind me that the year is running that I should consider his request since he hope to settle down this year.
He knows you will soon become desperate as you approach that age women loathe with passion. He will remind you that your biological clock is ticking and it s good for you to take the option you have before becoming a prayer point in your church or mosque.

Please dear Family advice me accordingly is it advisable I say yes to a man I don't feel a thing for emotionally? Can I ever get to love him? I do hear love grows but I don't believe in such!!!
You are asking the wrong question. Nobody can tell you who to say yes to but yourself. You never liked this guy and you still don't like him, it is not reasonable saying yes. Love is not emotion but decision. You have decided not to ever love him and there is no point beating a dead bush. Free him and let him find his wife elsewhere. Saying yes will only make his life miserable if situation does not change when you want it.

I plead with you, free the ugly and broke guy please.

I wish you well in your search for an houseband...

actually I haven't made any decision on that.

I was surprised when I saw her in bedroom praying the muslim way.

I really do love her,I want advice on how to handle it,so that went next she comes,I want us to discuss it.
What you saw is a proof that she has taken a decision and may probably not rescind it.

What you can do is to discuss with her to make her understand where you stand and why. If after all things, she insist, let her know you wouldn't be able to go further with the relationship if it is what you want or can do.

Yes you love her. Love also involves letting go when needed.
Family › Re: She Wants To Turn To A Moslem. by bellong: 10:44am On Jun 29, 2015
If you are not comfortable with her decision, talk to her about it and your preference.

If she doesn't change and you can't live with it, best bet is to let her go.

It is as simple as that.

Please everyone here i want to ask a question and i need y'all guys opinion:

After the legalization of gay marriage in America,i have read so many opinions about the matter, but one thing kept ringing in my mind is others calling those who do not support this development hypocrites.
Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have have sought out many inventions.

What is hypocrisy? An expression of agreement that is not supported by real conviction..

How can you be an hypocrite for not supporting what you don't have conviction in. The people calling others hypocrites are the REAL hypocrites.. Some of them do not even understand the LGBT relationship but only want to follow the norm to be seen as modern.

Should we also call them hypocrites when a man decides to marry more than 2 wives and they condemn the act outrightly
There is a thin line between same sex union and different sex multiple union. One involves putting a lock in a lock while the other is putting a key in a lock. If the same sex union can produce a natural offspring without external manipulation, then we can take it as a natural order. Polygamy and "gayism" are both age long practise frowned upon by God. With the daily re-interpretation of marriage, polygamy is the least of our worries..

especially if it is a Christian brother or sister involved;Yet we have Christian gays?
There is a clear instruction from God to Christians on same sex relationship. Anyone that willfully violate the instruction openly disregard the law of God. A Christian always seek to please His Lord.

Should we call those opposing polygamy hypocrites? If they have conviction in their opposition, NO. And if they have no conviction in their opposition, YES.

@tearoses,

Long ago, I used to think cancer is a terminal disease for aged people. Now, young and children are taken easily by it. So sad....

However, sometimes death is the only way for God to protect us from the corruption of this world. Like Paul said "For me to live is Christ but to die is gain"... In death, as Christians, we conquer death.

Ewuro and Francis,

Yes but there is a huge difference between civil engineers and engjneering geologists.
You fail to get my point. The point is that experience can still work for you. I am not comparing profession or discussing construction.

Not really .just less than a year internship in a related field and Nysc experience (department of works in a local government).

The truth is that if I can't afford it ..its better I look elsewhere. I have an admission in the UK and I thought Australia would be easier.
If you can ace a 20 point in English test, you can go for PR. Department of works is related depending on what you did in the department. Engineering geology is still a subset of geology.

Thanks for the response. I think I'll look else where. Most of the courses are 30k annually or 4.6million naira . That's half more than half of my
budget. Then how much do I budget for accommodation + feeding annually?? The remaining 3million naira?? And are you giving me the hope that I can work to meet up with the expenses of the 2Nd year or I request for additional funds after the first year?

I'm looking at Flinder university MSC hydrology.I would be grateful if you judge me if I'm not up to the task
You can get a decent student accommodation for between $100 - $150/week including utilities. Food is not expensive and you can get concession on transportation with your student ID.

Is it only Flinders that offers hydrology?

Which agent said getting PR from Naija is not possible? That's a big lie! Do you know how many people on this thread travelled as PRs? He should just tell you he cant do it.

What were the reasons he gave?
Either the agent doesn't know what he was saying or was only interested in collecting the agency fee for the student application package. If the Op decides to drop his application, it is less money for the agent.

Either way, he is only screwing the guy.
