Family › Re: How Soon After The Death Of A Spouse To Start A New Relationship? by bellong: 12:20pm On Jul 24, 2014
How soon depends on YOU alone. Relative to how soon you get over the loss of your spouse.

There is no universal law on how soon one can remarry after the demise of a spouse.

Only women act for a reason? Men are irrational beings? The question is what can the man do not pass a judgement.......

@Topic, her action is financial fraud, the husband can report to EFCC/ICPC, I wouldn't know which of two handles domestic fraudulent activities.

I do not support revenge because she will surely reap whatever evil she had sown without a just cause. However, if the husband is interested in pursuing his case within the confines of the law, he should report to the appropriate authority. INTERPOL will be contacted to repatriate her for further prosecution at home. She will be placed on watch list by all security agents at all point of entry/exit in the country.

He should learn from the mistake of marrying this wife to correct future occurrence. Every husband must have a depth of understanding of his wife to know her probable action in all cases. If he had known her well, he wouldn't have committed that much of trust to her.

If he wants it faster, he should send a mail to the fraud center of FBI online and attach all necessary documents. Find the link below

http://www.fbi.gov/contact-us

I hope he finds peace with himself and children.

weconsult: I just looked through my form again and it says non migrating dependent family members. In this case, i am clear they have to undergo medicals. perhaps the question "non migrating family members" differs from "non migrating dependent family members" where dependent is the variance between the two. Your dependent is expected to migrate with you sooner or later.
On form 80, you get to fill in the details of your parents and siblings.
The form only has "Migrating family members" and "Non-migrating dependent family members". There is none for "non-migrating family members".

UBKtech: @Bellong, which family members were you referring to and what category visa are you interested in? Either way, you still need to list your relatives on your application to avoid complications in the future. Since you are interested in bringing the over later. DIBP is categorical about this, plz read: http://www.immi.gov.au/students/students/bringing_family/how-to-apply.htm
Parents and siblings for subclass 190.

Thank you for the detailed explanation

bodashee: I went to a place called Usi ekiti, near somewhere called iddo.
I know Usi, it is the home town of Borisade Babalola (former minister of education and aviation). However, the place is not as bad as you portrayed it by saying they flaunt 'orisa' and 'ifa' with greetings on the street.

Tnx. The Non-migrating family members were not requested to do medicals. Its only me, the principal applicant, tht was asked to do medicals. Mine is subclass 189. Pls the 3 months you mentioned; is from the date of medicals or from the date of application?
According to DIBP and some people I know who got theirs, it is from the date of application.

I am not sure for subclass 189, I think it takes longer. Not too sure though.

Thank you for answering my question.

prechear: Na wao o. Make una answer me na! I have been asking who have experience or knows someone tht has done medicals for PR and how long it took for Visa to come out; nobody answer me. I did my medicals since May and am yet to be contacted. Pls any ideas...I beg. Biko...
There is no specific time frame but the waiting period now is about 3 months. The process is faster depending on the subclass, seems 190 is faster than 189.

Keep waiting and you will get the positive mail you have been waiting for.

Between, were the non-migrating family members requested to do medical test at the time of your application?

jieta: am in my mid twenties and from delta state precisly.my actual plan is to get to kwara and stay in a hotel for like a week then during that week i will look for a little job to engage my self in.......just my elder sister that know about my plan. thanks
The cheapest hotel in a sane environment you can get is about N1500/night in Ilorin and do you intend coping staying long considering the amount you have?

Ilorin is a peaceful city and Kwara state is a civil service state and by that I mean, most of the citizens are government employees.

What kind of job do you think you can get and what are your qualifications? The city is not that expensive but with the recent influx of people from the North, prices of things including accommodation have skyrocketed compared to the past.

There are few factories like Unifoam, Kamil (nail industries), Dangote flour, Tuyil (pharmaceutical company) and some other small companies including bottled and satchet water factories that you can get unskilled job.

Whatever your plan is, let your family be in the know to forestall future bitter experience.

I wish you goodluck in your quest.

bossladyMo: You have to list all your family members now...cos when you want to file for them to come over, you might encounter a bit of trouble, as they were not originally listed.....u get? Don't think they will have to do medicals now sha, as they are not migrating with you, so it will be a waste. If at any point in time you would like to change their status to migrating, then they will have to do medicals and pcc.
The question I asked initially was whether they will be required to do the medicals now to which UBKtech responded in the affirmative. Are you sure the medicals will not be required now until they are migrating?

UBKtech has passed through this stage and he said it is required now. Need to be sure before filling the form.

Thank you

What are your plans for this new life you intend starting?

How old are you and what can you do?

are your family members in the know of your plan?

Why is Kwara your choice and what part of the state do you plan staying?

How do you plan to sustain yourself in the state?

bodashee: I think its only Lagos, abuja, PH, Cali, warri, ibadan (not an exhaustive list tho) that habe the cosmopolitan touch witht heir residents having some level of exposure.....I visited Ekiti last year , work took me there, and I felt like I was on the set of Tunde Kelani's saworoide or Femi Lasode's epic movie 'Sango'. And lots of them were openly greeting each other with ifa and orisa and things like that.....something you hardly see in Lagos. It dawned on me that christainity and islam aren't really as pronounced in those parts as we in lagos would think......so I totally believe the posibility of someone lacing his wife with magun in a place like ondo.
What part of Ekiti did you visit that you experienced this? huh huh

Thank you.

Guess its better not to fill that part for now.....

Safari29: my case is like someone that fell from grace to grass. Am starting over again May God help me. Thank you so much May God Bless u
That's the spirit. Never you give up. Some people have walked in a more terrible path than yours before and they came out strong and better. You can do it. Only learn from past mistakes.

I believe you will surely get to the pinnacle of your dreams if you don't give up.

Safari29: nothing good comes my way. my decision making is poor. I have lost so many things. hope is diminishing.
This is still ambiguous... There is always a starting point for every problem/challenge. Try to look back to identify how it all started, then one can be able to come up with a lasting solution.

Why do you think nothing good comes your way? Have you ever thought that what you believe not to be good may be the best for you at the time? You can always get to see the positive out of all negative events.

If your decision making is poor, what are the things you think are responsible for it? Are you always hasty to make decision? Do you consider every parameter surrounding a matter before taking decision? Are your decisions mostly influenced by what people say? These and many more are questions you should ask yourself.

Everybody has lost things at a point in life and will still lose. It is part of the dynamics of life. Getting back on track determines how easy you recover those things and much more than you lost.

If you lose all things, you have lost nothing until you lose hope. Hope is what no man should lose in life. An hopeless man is a walking corpse, no one can help such a man. Whatever happens to you, never lose hope. There is always light at the end of the tunnel for those who refuse to give up.

Your moniker means any long or adventurous journey or expedition. Take whatever happens as part of the adventurous journey of life. Learn from your past mistakes to correct future re-occurrence.

It is well with you.

Family › Re: Counselling: Strictly For Couples And Intending Couples! by bellong: 4:04pm On Jul 19, 2014
There will be less trouble in in-laws relationships when everybody realises that once married, the guy or lady has become part of the family.

I have a cordial relationship with my in-law and everyone of them knows my stand on issues. My wife in turn has a very good working relationship with my folks. My wife and my mum are best of friends, an outsider wouldn't know she is a daughter-in-law. If my mum needs something and she is sure I would say NO knowing my stand about some stuffs, she uses my wife to get what she wants. They are that close.

When the two are together, I am usually "marginalized" from their women talk.

We should also understand that our carriage, attitude and maturity determines reactions of the in-laws. My first encounter with my FIL wasn't a palatable one because he didn't and still doesn't (except for me) trust Lagosians because of his numerous past experiences. How I handled the situation and subsequent issues won his heart over. Today, he treats me as the first born he lost some years ago. A lot of people do ask what I used for my FIL. The key is understanding people and relate with them according to themselves.

Advice to singles is to study your intending partner and the family very well, if it something you can live with, go ahead and if not make a u-turn to prevent stories that touch.
