stan4b: I don't knw if its relevant or not,but she was a virgin before she got marry and they got married last year.Virginity has nothing to do with applying the brain. Not all virgins are wise, infact, some of them are stupid thinking all what they need to be good in life is to be a virgin. Your friend's husband is selfish, arrogant and inconsiderate while your friend seems to me to be someone who can't take decision except whatever she is told. The issue should not even come up for discussion, she should be able to do what is right without anyone telling her. She is in her final year and she is four months pregnant. The university does not even issue a certificate of attendance to people who left in their final year. The same man telling her to leave her school will tomorrow be the same person that will insult and reduce her to nothing for not having any degree qualification. What are the hidden intentions of the husband? Is it to make her "qualificationless" so she can easily be subdued and controlled. Your friend is already making up her mind to become a full time house wife, I pity her. A man that has no patience for her to graduate, I wouldn't know the kind of patience he will have when the storms of life hit their marriage. Well, if your friend is bent on leaving for Malawi, I would that you advised her to take a session leave of absence due to her pregnancy. At least, she will still have hope of completing her studies if things do not work out as expected. |

Rhythm: I think this is where most christians get it wrong. Christians spend time trying to discern things of the devil than the things of God. The essence of christianity is that christ died and defeated the devil, yet everyday you see Nigerian christians dedicating years to fighting already defeated stuffs like evil spirits and spirit husbands and bla. No one who calls himself a christian should even believe in these things,I wouldn't know how to respond to the bolded part but I know that he who is in the spirit do not waste time discerning the things of the devil. The spirit of God reveals hidden things not known to us. No one calls himself should believe in the existence of "demons"? Paul said, after the manner of man I fought with beasts at Ephesus... Well the question the poster asked is if spirit husbands and wives exist, my answer is Yes... It is not subject to debate, it is my opinion and conviction of what I know. |
Woged2005: Bible sais it's appointed unto man to die, & after that it's judgement. Therefore a dead person is either in Heaven, hell fire (or Purgatory, according to Catholics). That's the scripture! So all these spirits, ghosts, etc Nigerians see and marry, where are they from? Are you indirectly saying there's no judgement after death...dead people still roam about in Nigeria in spirit and marry? Your quotation referred to the Holy Spirit (the messenger), which according to the doctrine of trinity is God. Does God marry? And why don't we have spiritual husbands in UK that brought xtianity to Africa, or USA that originated pentecostal churches? They never talk about these things except we Africans who are trying to bring in our traditional beliefs/superstition into Christianity...Now I have a better understanding of what you know. Spirit husbands/wives are not dead people roaming about. You are yet to understand the point I was making in that quote. I am talking about revelation of spiritual things through the spirit of God. UK may have brought christianity to Africa, but doesn't mean they understand better than Africans. "They never talk about these things.." Really? How many christian literatures written by Britons and Americans have you read? Do you by chance know Rebecca Brown, A.A Allen, Smith Wigglesworth, Schambach and many others.. They are not Africans. I want to believe you have in your bible the part that Jesus cast out demons from a man. Are those demons people that died and roaming about? I do not like to engage in religious arguments that are not beneficial. Denial of the existence of a thing does not prevent it from operation. |
Woged2005: Wow!..what a misinterpretation! I suggest Nigerians should write their own bibles to suit their various needs...wondering why our (mis)interpretation is always very different from that of other Christians from other parts of the world, yet we read the same book in same English language.I would be glad you gave me a the correct interpretation. In what way did I use it to suit my need? I urge you to read the whole passage for a better understanding of what I was trying to say. |
Rhythm: So the things of the spirit of God include spiritual husbands.Lol.... The passage is talking about revelation of the things of the spirit. It takes revelation from God to understand and see a spirit husband. Do you now understand? |
The matrimonial bed is not just the physical bed but being faithful to your marital vows. The bed is just a bed and nothing more...; |
Those type of statements usually come from fathers who failed in their fatherhood responsibilities. Always shifting blame and never being accountable for their responsibilities...... |
".....But the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned....." The fact that spiritual issues have been abused by religious christians do not nullify the existence of true spiritual problems. Is there anything in the world that is yet to be abused especially religion. Yes, spiritual husbands and wives exist as does the devil. |
@Debrief, wish you a speedy recovery...... It is well with you and yours |
Wait... Are you sure of this? Do you have any idea why she ended it all? Are there no people around her to support her through whatever made her end her life? Many questions but why........ |
Where is the school located and aside christian education, what are the curriculums n your school like? |
pickabeau1: @bellong.. how u dey? My regards to your wife, her mum and your kidThe bolded is fixed. Never knew pickabeau1 is BB..... Hmm, was actually wondering on the Arsenal thread where you disappeared to, to show your renew faith in the team considering your previous doubt... Enjoy the new name. By the way, what's the meaning? |
dayspringcollge: Well in my own words and understanding, I would say ''christian education is the education giving to humans, based on the ethics of the christian fate. When i say christian education i didn't mean teaching students how to just read the Bible, but teaching them how they ought to live; discharging thier earthly duties with due sense of responsibilty knowing that there's a God who sees their every secret and in the end they will give account to God how they live their lives here on earth.Well, what you wrote here is good and fine. The important thing is teaching about godliness and not religion. Religion is a scam.... |
Will you start by explaining what your definition of Christian education is? |

yellowpawpaw: Don't mind the man Mr B.This is a good suggestion. I felt he must have done this in the last two years with no result, hence my advice to initiate a court case. If he hasn't become a friend with somebody in the related department in the last two years, I guess he is yet to learn the rudiments of doing business with the civil/public service sector. Oga Pascenta, if you have not done what YPP advised before, it is time you started with it. I hope everything works fine for you. |
You were advised to at least initiate a proceeding against the school. Have you done anything about that yet? |
kendraloops: @ bellong, he sits with us when we eat n actually casts a longing look at the food but once u bring it close to his mouth, he turns his face away smiling. He'll keep on staring at the food making you feel guilty for not giving him.It is not the strict exclusive that is the cause of your baby not eating, seems he is one of those babies who pretend to hate food at their initial stage. My boy too was on exclusive breastfeeding for 6months and two weeks before we started giving food. He started eating everything almost immediately. Probably his case is different or he just like food.... ![]() |
Go through this site and read some good suggestions and info therein... http://www.babymed.com/tips-improving-sperm-count I pray that you get a solution very very soon. Between, do not panic and exercise unnecessary fear. You need to put your mind at ease while working at the solution. Encourage your wife and be positive towards it. You will share your testimony soon. It is well with you |
Op, Does your baby sit with you while you are eating? I wouldn't know if it is a norm or just specific to me. When our baby was three month, anytime we wanted to eat, I always carry him with us to see what we eat and how we eat. This I was doing to accustom him to the eating process. By the time he became 6months, he was the one wrestling spoon from us to be fed. The boy is 9months and 2 weeks old now, he eats anything and everything. Now, he doesn't even want us to feed him, he wants to be feeding himself... .You can try the months of stimulating feeding for your next child and see if it will work. I only thought of doing this at the time I got concerned on how he will eat when he starts to. It worked well and I hope it can work for you. After your journey, you can try it for the next one month. |
