^^^ Oga, it doesn't take deliverance to cure anger. It takes the fruit of the spirit if you want to turn it to spiritual problem. She only need to allow the Holy spirit to work on her by being transformed in renewing her mind and expressing the fruit of the spirit. It is not every matter you run to pastors, they are humans with personal struggles too. At least give them breathing space to attend to their families too. |
Junk Science at its best.... No wonder, he is from MAULAG ![]() |
@Ojiforeal, my mistake. Thanks for putting things in right perspective. @Prof4maths, please make sure you get any of the said visa before embarking on your journey. |
They have a way of forming solidarity for each other. See when a baby is crying around you and observe how others respond by joining him. ![]() |
Have you ever taken her for a professional counseling and help on anger management? She needs help o on anger management |
@Sissie, Any positive development? |
duffie: Big big thank you to madam CC and papa Bellong..I am still a young man ooo not a papa yet.. ![]() |
The condition is only a schengen visa and OECD countries' Visa |
duffie: Thank you.Ok, now I understand. Yes, they are right, you should graduate from the course you are doing but you can only marry when you are ready to. Let them not push you into what you are not ready for. Graduate, get a job with the degree and fund your passion from the job. |
duffie: I'm almost graduating from a health science course, but I want to go back and stuudy business management...You are at the point where the opinions of people should not stop you from fulfilling your dreams. Thank God, you realised this while you are still young. Go for your dream, if it means writing JAMB and WAEC all over again, its worth it in the long run. The fulfillment of achieving it cannot be compared with what people are saying. It is your life and not theirs so live it to the fullest. Meanwhile, while you are going for the course and career of your dream, you can get a job with your present degree for sustenance and living expenses. You may develop a new dream and passion on the job. It is well with you |
duffie: I chose the wrong career, I've written my final exams and I just know my life is all wrong....We are getting closer to it. What career did you choose and what career are you interested in? |
duffie: Career, school, life,etc...Whatever choices and decisions you have made in the past concerning the above, be sure that you can still start all over. There is no fixed date, age and period for attainment of fulfillment and success. Now, do a self evaluation of where you are and where you want to be. The assessment will help you to know where to start the rebuilding process from. You may think you have no plans but you definitely have one in your subconscious. If there are people you desire to tow their career paths or wants to be like them, its an indication that you have a plan, it is just that you are yet to come to the reality of it. Are you presently in school? if you are, are you studying what you wanted to study or just accepted your course to be doing something? If you are not, what efforts are making to start school and where is that area you desire to contribute to humanity and progress of others? You can always pick up your life and start over again. It is and can never be too late to start all over again. You should know that it will not happen overnight, it takes time, dedication and conscious effort with God's help. You can do it duffie..... |
duffie: Hello, I'm duffie....Can you please give a little detail of why you think you are lost? |
emk4lif: Mine is somewhat complicated, I'm in my late teens and an engineering student..always been a high flyer academically in high school and not doing so badly in the university, I hold no religious belief and my views border on atheism..I've been struggling with depression for over two years and I've considered suicide at times....life just feels so empty most times to me and I struggle daily to find a meaning to everything,I also feel like I could be doing so much more with my inherent potential, this coupled with the challenges of being a nerdy introvert teenager with few friends and eccentric thoughts leave me with just a bleak outlook of life....I spend a lot of time alone and I believe that no one really understands me..my parents are too religious and emotionally distant for me to share my fears with them....no matter how I try to deal with it, I always relapse back...I just feel lost and I just wonder whether if I just end it all, maybe I'll just find that elusive peace.it might seem cowardly and sound like overkill but the despair I feel daily, the depths of loneliness, fear and self-loathing I go through daily just drives me crazyYou are such a gifted and talented kid. I know because of the way you crafted the words up there. You are putting too much pressure on yourself because of these inherent talents that you have. Understand that you are still in the early phase of your life, hence you have enough time to fulfill and express your potentials to the world. Just be patient and take it step by step. You will surely fulfill your potentials.. As per the bolded, you may consider what I want to say as foolish or not relevant to you but it is just the truth. Your inner man desires a relationship with the metaphysical being which you have been suppressing for a long time. Your search and quest to understand reason for your existence with no answers in view is leading to this feeling of emptiness. I do not know any other diplomatic way to tell you than this, you need to give God a chance in your heart to fill that void of emptiness. Only the creator of a thing can explain its function and purpose for which it was created. In like manner, only God can give you the fulfilled answer to the question you seek. Jesus said, "come unto me all ye that labour and are heavily laden, I will give you rest..." I am not asking you to be religious but to develop a relationship with God so that the void in you can be filled. It is well with you. |
@Nadia, Can you please answer Sagamite's questions? |
prof4maths: Pls guys! What should I do? I av an evisa(cable visa) to turkey but my passport is virgin. Am I free to travel with it without any fault? Pls enlighten me more guysYou will be turned back at the port of entry. You must have lied that you have a valid schengen visa during application filling. You must have a valid schengen visa to enter Turkey with an e-Visa. Do not waste your money in booking flight |
Can you be explicit with the type of advice you need? As much as you want to repay the kindness of your fiancee, you can't use the repayment to the inconvenience of your folks. They allowed her for three years with no trouble but you did not state what went wrong before they grew cold towards you. Your girlfriend can stay with her friend which is the best thing to do not cohabiting with you. If you really love the girl as described, you will be concerned for her peace and rest of mind, hence you wouldn't bring her to stay with you in a family house. I pray that God grant you an open doors for jobs so you can do the needful. Hold no grudge against your people, they do not owe the girl anything |
yellowpawpaw: Mr Bellong, I laugh in swahili! ![]() You have to give people benefit of doubt incase he is speaking the truth... |
toptex: I will want to know if Nigeria is part of country turkey issue E-visa.You can get the E-Visa only if you have a valid schengen visa or any OECD countries or a valid residence permit of schengen countries. Outside that, you can't get the E-Visa. |
mobuch: Some comments here sound like they came out from the mouths of under-18 children, who havent gotten much experiences in life.Sir, I think you are the one spewing thrash here. I expect an elder person to put things in perspective rather than confusing innocent youths. As the oldest person on this thread, going by your years of experience, I expected you to have travelled beyond your region to have a balanced understanding of how weddings are done. To educate you sir, in the Yorubaland, the traditional and church weddings are done in the bride's place. It is not bargained except the bride's family decides otherwise. And that is based solely on their decision with no influence from the groom's family. I understand that in the East, the traditional is done in the bride's place and church in the groom's place. I have no idea of how it is done in the north. If you have been patient enough to read and comprehend what has been written on this thread, you would have noticed that someone asked the cultural practice of where he is from which he/she never responded or did not even understand. In the final analysis, you only gave advice based on your limited knowledge of the culture of people before accusing others with a better idea than yours. Sir, always express your opinion without attacking the persons of others. |
beecool: how do i fight this feeling of emptiness that seems to be invading my mind. Don't tell me to hold on, because I just can't anymore. I feel like I'm at the point where I have to end it all.Stay true to your moniker and personal text. Read books about the lives of men who were once in your situation and how they pushed through to greatness. The storm is only for a short time, peace be upon you... |
@Sissie, check your spam box, it may be there. It is the email you used in registering on Nairaland that it will send to. |
GreatmanG: Honorable members,When next you want to do something of this nature, you will have to do adequate research before venturing into it. California is in the west coast and it is difficult shipping from west coast to west Africa. However, there are ports in Oakland and Los Angeles. I don't know where your truck is located in California to know the port to advise. Note, California law does not permit Ro-RO shipping from her port, you will have to use a container. |
I am sorry about what you are going through in your family. I honestly do not know what you can do because you are only the man's child and he is not married to you but your mum. I do understand the trauma you and your mum are facing at home. HE has given you condition to talk to him, why not use that as a challenge to better yourself in your academics and outlook about life. Be determined to be successful in whatever you do. Be there for your mum in this her difficult period and continue in prayer of peace for your mum and dad. If you are a male, make up your mind to have a better home than your dad. Let what your mum is experiencing spur you not to treat any woman that way. And if you are female, understand that, it is not how it should be. So be ready to look very well before you leap into the hands of any man in future. No, not every man is like your dad, do not live with that illusion. Concerning what your Pastor told your mum, it is total crap and BS. Your mum need to be above religion and get to really know God herself for who HE is. Let no pastor put your family under the bondage of fear. Your mum must learn to seek the face of God herself than going through a medium. It is well with your family. |
Why not hang out with him for few days and especially on weekends, maybe this will help you to condition your mind that there's no problem. |
Good morning everybody @Tinkybabe, you have to be blind to be focused.... word!!! Reminds me of the words of Jesus.. "If your eye be single, thy body is full of light..." @Cheby, whatever situation you are in now is only temporary and it will not last forever. Gold must pass through fire before it can come out shinning to the applause of men. This is your trial phase that will bring the best out of you. It is well with you. @Sissie, can you please get it done this weekend? |
Elijah Oguns: What to be remeber 4 how we fought 4 local production of spare parts 4 our cement Industry and ability to train my sibling orphans making them success in life, setting up industries processing our local raw materials. Please explain the highlighted part. Can you shed more light if you don't mind? |
duffie: Hmmmmmm...so true Royal Roy: Bellong, love is an illusion that fades away in the face of adversity..........................its something I thought of when I was really really down.Contrary to the above, what I understand about Love is none of what you defined. Love is actually what keeps one during tribulations and trials. Romantic emotions and feelings are different from Love. Love is what still keep the world spinning... Love endures and perseveres |
@Roy, Can you explain your signature? |
