Family › Re: Should She Ask For Flight Ticket? by bellong: 9:13am On Oct 11, 2013
bayooz: The guy in question is a social worker. He said he is very busy till February next year but that my sister should come.
I cannot give a definite answer but I will say the girl should not ask. If she has the capacity to fund the trip without stress, let her go ahead to do it without asking for the ticket. I expect a reasonable person who invited someone over to discuss about the funding for the trip.

If on the completion of the journey, the guy didn't say anything about how flight ticket or visa processing fee, she should count her cost and move on. Forget the guy and look for more responsible fellow. Meanwhile, whenever she is ready to visit, let her cruise the town to enjoy her self funded trip.

Godspeed and goodspeed...

ifyalways: @Bellong,how far now? Please, were you able to get the PA to the school's VC? Can you get the OP's details via PM and have the PA confirm if he's actually a student ,if he's owing and how much?

I will see the OP soon and also see his student identity card but id card can be "printed/laminated" just by anyone so your own confirmation is the "surest" .
I got in touch with him, he told me he will get back to me this evening. He was very busy then. I hope to get the information ready this evening. Between, I want to believe the guy is telling the truth, I have done some questioning and confirmed his responses to be true. The major hurdle for him now is for the school to re-open the portal. That is what we are trying to plead with the school to do. So he can pay his fees when he eventually get the full amount.

onegig: no need for such wahala. Just ask him to send you his portal details. I.e the login details..all those information would be there. His level, amount owing. Studentship status and anything you might need.
The PA said the portal has been closed against late payment for now. The VC is out of town, we are trying to see how they can help in re-opening it. Though he said it is the senate decision and they have no control over it. I hope we get a positive solution to his case.

Since you read it on their site that there is no need to book appointment as student, why are you waiting for people who don't work at the embassy to advise you.

The information of the embassy should be treated as the only true information. You already have the answer you seek.

Family › Re: Is It A Right For A Someone To Depend On His Father's Wealth? by bellong: 9:59am On Oct 10, 2013
Answering your question, NO..... It is not good for someone to depend on his father's wealth.

However, a good father leaves inheritance for his children's children...... The key is training up your children in becoming responsible adults, with that, they will know how to utilize their father's wealth responsibly.

If my papa was the owner of the old "bobby hotel" on Ikorodu road, the hotel wouldn't have turned out to be den of thieves. Bobby hotel will today be an household name for hospitality.

The Key is training and self-training

Confided in your BIL leaving out your husband? What a foolish thing to do. So your husband is a tin god you can't discuss your fear with? How do you expect the guy to start spewing things to you if you can't talk with your husband. No wonder the guy is keeping late away from home.
Family › Re: Proud Your Child Can't Speak Your Native Tongue? by bellong: 8:51am On Oct 10, 2013
Well, I think parents that do that are only putting their children at a big disadvantage. English is only one of the languages in the world but the present world language. Restricting a child to a language will not develop his language skills, we never can tell when that native language will be a life saver for the child in the future.

My children will not just learn my native language, they will also learn the languages spoken wherever I find myself in addition to French and German. They must be multilingual... Already laying the foundation...

Meanwhile, if any parent decides not to teach his/her child the native language, its his/her choice. Multinationals are now giving preference of employment to multilingual ahead of only English speaker.

yellowpawpaw: Why on earth will he file for child custody?
Did the mother said she don't want the child again?
Or is the mum abusing the boy?
Bc he is the sperm donor so he should file for child custody?
Then the mother or baby mama will be left with nothing abi?
Is he not married?

That's why I love my place. U dare not try that. Nothing like child custody if u like take it to supreme court. Any child outside wedlock strictly belongs to the mum.

Topic
Poster, instead of u to admit u r already bedmaticking with ur baby mama and ask for help, u r preaching d gospel according to davrod!
He loves his son according to him. If he can prove that the mother is incapable of raising the boy, why can't he file for custody. The fact that a female gave birth to a child does not make her a good mother. How is someone who is interested in his son a sperm donor? Is his interest not a sign of responsibility?
Your place cannot be above the supreme law of the land. If he wins it in court, I wonder who will stop the law from taking its course in your place. Between, there is no written/unwritten law that says that child outside wedlock belongs to the mother. Law is always in the overall interest of a child and not based on emotional sentiments.
Family › Re: My Ex Wife by bellong: 10:11am On Oct 09, 2013
I want to assume the help you need is how to take custody of your son. If that is the case, allow the mother to keep custody till he is 8yrs, then you can file for custody in court or through social welfare. Keep doing what you have to do for the boy as the father.

Meanwhile, the baby mama is now a past tense and should remain so. When visiting your son, it should be done in the open and not in secret where you can re-log in on where you both left it. She shouldn't even cross your mind again except the boy. Be happy with your new found love who stood by you during the hard time. If you do otherwise, you may end up losing in both ways.

The programmer didn't complete his work. You can still identify the nobody if nobody's comment was quoted. The quoted comment still retain the original ID... More work for the programmer.

What is your mind telling you?

Do you have a job?

What time do you close? (if you have one)

I have a big fear, the business is in his name, brother and brother's wife. Why were you left behind?

Are you sure there is nothing more to the business than an attempt to be far away from you.

Do you have kids?
