Depending on the auction you wish to buy, some give an outline of the problems while others you can estimate from the displayed pictures.

Localamos: Most men that are disrespected by their wives are in such a mess because they cannot manage situations - and even crises - in their homes.
.
If you haven't known it, know now that a woman will always (in one way or the other ) test the strength of her man. Deep down, She wants to reassure herself that her man is dependable. That is why She puts up situations that seem challenging to the man.
.
Now we don't like this situation because our "balls are crushed " when we sense a challenge to our "authority"!
.
Trust me, your woman May not be really reacting to your lack of (too much ) money. Try and disabuse your mind from this notion and try to truly discover her fears. It is only then that you can start to give her the assurances that She needs, and then you too can earn the respect of your wife.
.
Remember the saying that "Hell. hath no fury like a woman scorned "
Standing ovation bro......

What something silly is he planning to do? If the girl wants to keep the child why force her against her wish. Didn't you know the result of your action prior to shooting at the goal post?

The girl is the one whose life is at risk here if she is to abort the pregnancy. She may have weighed her options and not ready to risk her life but rather keep the child. Its better you accept the reality and be responsible enough to nurture the foetus to birth.

The husband should also call the police for the wife to settle the matter...

No short-cut to it, what you are doing presently is marital fraud and manipulation. As much as I understand your rights and preference not to have more children but you already conned your husband to believing you are ready for additional two.

When he discovers what you are doing presently, you may not like the outcome of his actions. Now, talk to him about all the reasons you presented her for not wanting more. I believe he will be reasonable enough to reach a compromise with you. He is your husband, press the right buttons to reach a compromise with him rather than the backstab you are currently employing. You stand to gain more by being open.
Family › Re: Please Advise My Friend by bellong: 10:10am On Sep 28, 2013
Please do me a favour, when your friend comes for the advise, before anything else give him one good resounding slap.

He needs it for a brain reset for having such a myopic and retrogressive attitude to life. I wish I had a caring father as his who couldn't take it anymore for his child to be idle.

Your friend must learn how not to listen to the noises in the crowd, he should face the importance of why he was employed than listening to gossips of people who can't add values to his life. Conditions are not permanent, they are temporary and he is only passing through a phase. If he is so concerned about those people's comments, he should be the one to drop his resignation letter.

The poor man still have a wife and his siblings to cater for, so he should resign because of an unproductive ego of a son. In as much as they are both doing an honest job, I see no reason why he is concerned about loafers. If those people talking believe they are above that, why are they working in the same company with them. They should have started their own company. They are just bunch of pots calling kettle black.

Your friend should be determined to get the best out of life. Use the present place as a stepping stone to better offers by putting in his best and making conscientious efforts to be successful. He that listens to the noise in the market will go back home empty.

The Lord, Master and Emperor of his own home came on here seeking for an easy method of punishing his erring subject, wife, you people are preaching and making jest of His Royal Majesty... He has arsenal of weapons to deal with the disobedient subject, he is only looking for a soft-landing for her.

@Emperor Delinb,

On behalf of everybody here, I plead with you to temper justice with mercy. Do not mind the people making jest of you, some of them do not have a subject to deal with at home, so they have no idea on how frustrating it could be when your authority is undermined. I will give you tips from a book titled "How to put your woman in her place and destroy your home" written by Prof. Lucifer Angelo, in the 1st Century BC. Find the useful tips below..

1. When she is in the midst of her friends, shout her down and if necessary slap her if she talks back at you
2. Put her in house detention from dawn to dusk. Use a spare room in your flat for this. Trick her into the spare room, lock the room and walk away till you are ready to release her from detention.
3. Make her fetch water in a basket till its full. If she can't do that, do not let her enter the house.
4. Let her write this statement in one million times, "I will never disobey your royal majesty again"..
5. For every meal time, make her prepare five different types of dishes, throw away 4 of them, leave the fifth to rot without eating. Do this for only two weeks.

Those five points are enough for now, will give you more tips when you are done with those or you get a copy of the book.

CAVEAT: Do the above at your own peril. Even if your wife is the devil, there are ways to resolve differences than looking for how to punish an ADULT. When you are ready to learn and understand what it means to be an husband, maybe we can get started on a good discussion.
I suggest you both go for a Marriage Internship.

I have learned enough from this forum. I am signing off-unfollowing for good. thanks for all the comments. It has been interesting. God help us ALL. I have a Master's in Psychology. I practice in mental health and work in mass media.
It is in our best interest you sign off for good because you only brought bitterness, revenge and calumny to this board. If you want an intelligent discussion like you claimed, you would have presented an intelligent lay-out of what you wanted. Rather, you started a diatribe and collective character defamation of all Nigerian men for what has no bearing with your ex-husband who is a Kenyan from East-Africa.

Whatever you got here, you started it. No man reaped what he didn't sow. Good that you have a Master's in Psychology, that should have helped you not to start a verbal attack against people you have no idea of their culture, morals and background.

If you have a change of heart to have an intelligent discussion devoid of your diatribe, you will get one here in abundance. For now, nobody will miss you. grin grin grin cheesy cheesy

zomoears: There were signs early onin d relship.ignored em thinking twas one of those things dat ll go away.

Yes there hv bn storms. Clash wt my sister here, mother there, but mostly cos of er unfriendly unwelcoming attitude.

Still seriously thinking about parting ways.
When you start thinking of parting ways at this stage, I believe you will never get solution to the challenges. Thinking of parting ways should be the last thing on your mind for now. You have not exhausted all avenues to settle the issue.

You didn't give an idea of why and what the clash with your folks was about. Could it be that they told her something that battered her ego/self-esteem or they told her she will never be welcomed by them. These are the things you need to investigate. When there is a problem, the first step to resolving it is identifying the root cause to finding a better and lasting solution to it.

Whatever happened between her and your sister with mother should not get to the point of total neglect of your people. There should be room for forgiveness especially when the offenders already have acknowledged their fault by trying to amend broken wall.

You said you have spoken to her about it, probably you didn't use the right method in getting info from her. I am sure she is yet to open up to you because you have not struck a deep part of her to open up to you. If your personal efforts fail to achieve desire result, talk to her parents maybe they can help you get to the bottom of this.

In all, it wouldn't be good if the reason you want to part ways with her is this attitude that can be settled. It is well with you..

Family › Re: Wife N My Family Dont Get Along Well by bellong:
I am sorry about this situation, it is pathetic as you described it.

How was her attitude to your family members prior to tying the knot? Did she change suddenly or her change came about as a result of some occurrences?
Even if she was offended by someone from your family, she doesn't have to go to this extreme behavior in registering her grievances. Probably, she has the notion of me and my husband alone, any other is an enemy.

I don't know your wife to be able to actually give a concrete advice on what to do but I know communication is the first step in resolution of differences between couples. Probe her heart as to why she is acting negatively to your family. Let her understand that she has more to lose in future than gain if she keeps to her ignore mode of her in-laws.

How is her attitude to her own family? If she acts same way, she probably needs a psychological help. Meanwhile, you can try all you can in the meantime to diffuse this situation before your own people. For the love between you two, while making efforts to understand her negative attitude, help repair her "rep" before your own people before they completely turn against her.

If she were a child, she needs a koboko reset to default settings. Her action is awkward and uncalled for.

Guitarlife: I understand bro . But then these things happen. What I wrote up there is a true life story o. And I happen to see it far too often. Its not as uncommon as you are making it seem. I have had to school grown men on the fact that as a married man, your mother remains a visitor in your home.
You may not tell her this but a man still has to make his mom understand this fact one way ot the other, otherwise the wife might just be in for it.
Women need to be in control of their homes and they shouldn't be caught wrestling for its control with their MOther-in-laws.
Your point, I understand in full and I agree in totality but you are yet to get my point.

The problem is not the mother or the "other woman".... The problem is between the Husband and Wife to resolve not a third party.
Family › Re: The Other Woman by bellong: 1:41pm On Sep 25, 2013
Guitarlife: Bellong I guess your thought is borne out of just what you have seen. The pianist in my former church lost his marriage. The wife actually took in for another man and since the man knew he had not slept with her in more than 9 months it was obvious he was not the owner of the pregnancy.
Now to the issue, I know the guy personally. Very sweet guy but for one year that we were friends I never knew he was married (the marriage) had not packed up at that time.
If you happen to discuss with him, he will probably mention his dad or mothers name three times in five minutes.
My daddy said, my mom called me, after I discussed it with my dad e.t.c.
By the time I knew he was married I was totally disappointed. He seemed to be so engrossed with his own family and I felt sorry for his wife cos it was obvious he had no life of his own a mommys pet.
Not long after that he lost his marriage.
My own mum is a very clingy person but since I have realised that , I have done very well for myself to detach myself from her.
We are still fighting on that till now cos she wanna continue seeing me as her son but I wanna make life easier for my babe when we marry.
I do not want her to conclude that it is my wife that has turned my heart away from her.
The bible says ' a man shall leave his father and his mother and cling to his wife and they shall become one'.
So bellong you gotta watch this aspect if you have not been.
cheesy cheesy cheesy grin grin grin grin grin...

I have passed that level bro. I still stand by my word, a mother should not be termed as "the other woman". It denigrating, insulting and bitter.

I understand your point but the story you wrote is not the norm. Yes, all mothers are clingy especially those with one child but most men free themselves from the hold of their mothers. Only very few remained as mama's boy. It is not enough to call the mother "the other woman". The blame is not for the mother but the husband who couldn't detach himself from the hold of his mother. Just like Bukatyne said, the main problem is not "the other woman" but the man.

In like manner, fathers are known to be over-protective and clingy to their female children. Yet, husbands do not see their FIL as the "other man" because they know what and who to address in achieving a balance.

Nothing will make me take a Mother as the "other woman" in marriage. She is too sacred to be given such a derogatory term.

pickabeau1: I'm exasperated as the involved person is a kenyan sef
IF you read her subsequent stories, the Kenyan Physician told her from onset he was marrying her for his own convenience. How is that manipulation? She knew what she was getting into yet she pushed on and came on here to spit venom.

I wouldn't know how long it takes for a green card to be issued but I know it doesn't take as long as 12yrs. If the physician was in it for green card, I want to believe the guy later changed his mind to be with her for 12yrs. You have not explained what led to the break up of the marriage so we can be sure the guy married you for a green card.

With the thrash you have written here, I wouldn't be surprised if the guy left you for a more intelligent fellow. Making up your mind not to have anything to do with an African is strictly and entirely your choice but going down the lane of categorizing all Africans as fraudulent is beyond your entitlement and we have the right to defend ourselves against your myopic view.

If you don't consider an African, there are millions of AA women looking for Africans to marry. Your choice does not stop the world from revolving.

When next you want to open a thread here, please make it an intelligent discussion devoid of myopic view and bitterness against race, culture and gender.

For all I care, please remove MOTHER from the described list of your other woman. MOTHERS are too sacred and important to be termed other woman by any wife.

If you are not married yet and you believe your potential MIL will be "other woman", please, I advise you not to marry at all.

However, I have no idea on how to deal with the other woman but I have a better idea on how not to give yourself an heart attack on thinking too much about the other woman. MARRY A RESPONSIBLE AND GODLY HUSBAND, the other woman's case is resolved. QED.
Family › Re: What To Do by bellong: 7:46pm On Sep 23, 2013
Having read your post, questions arise. Does the woman/lady in question had previous issues prior to childbirth? Have you people asked the hospital for a comprehensive report of what transpired? I guess the complication was the result of the hospital's actions and inactions. You people should ask questions from the hospital rather let them make you pay bills that could have been avoided.

If you are close to your friend's husband, I urge to help your friend get him on her side this period. In any problematic situation, the first step is finding a solution to the challenges than heaping blame. Once the problem is solved, then he can revisit issue of not allowing people come to birth in their home. For now, your friend needs her husband to weather this situation.

I pray that the woman get well soon and completely. She will live to nurse Faith by God's grace. As for her husband, put on him on silent mode since he is not even sending money for his wife's care but talking thrash...

Your friend needs all the support and encouragement to stand strong this period.
