If he is emotionally ready and matured enough to be married, the tantrums of his mother shouldn't debar him. He was not born to live his life for them. Responsibilities do not end especially financial ones. He will have to support his family members and parents till life drops out of him. Although, he owes his family by helping with his siblings' education when the need arises but the the burden of the responsibilities should not be put on him alone. Between, we do not know if there was an agreement with the family to sponsor him through school and once he gets a job, he will in turn see others through. In summary, a categorical advice cannot be given except full information is known about the whole scenario. He knows what he wants, he should decide on what to do... |
Reminiscences... primary and secondary SOP (Songs of Praise)..... Can't forget the first hymn..never.. Thanks for bringing alive old memories.. |
greatgod2012: Good evening the whole house. One sure thing aside death in life is moments of trials and afflictions. Nobody can escape it and they work for our good in the end. All things work together for good for those His people. The toddler's case reminds me of a neighbour's son when I was in Ado-Ekiti. The boy was about 9months old at the time. I just heard the parents panicking in the middle of the night around 2am, the boy developed a sudden sickness. We rushed him to the general hospital, the boy needed blood to save his life. The father donated but they couldn't use his dad's blood because test conducted on it revealed the man had Hepatitis (I can't remember whether it was A or B), so i had to donate instead of his father. Though, the story didn't end well but the father was treated before the sickness could blow out of proportion. We would have had different story for both the father and son. He sent His word and His word healed them of their diseases and infirmities. We send the word of healing to the toddler in the hospital now in Jesus name. It is well with him and the family. May God grant your friend fortitude to bear her father's death. |
r231: There is 2 things I don't share.......Cdamsel, need I say more. The above explains it all..... ![]() RR, Congrats, oya let the party begin.... From Dallas to Las Vegas to Alcatraz... ![]() |

^^^ The rebuke of the father is not because the child turned bad but because he pushed him out. Under no circumstance should he have done that when he could still have helped the poor boy. At least at the time he pushed him out, he was not yet totally hardened according to the story here. The father deserves beating (if possible) for pushing out a teenager into the cold hands of evil.... |
chaircover: dayo cant be here . . . he is too busy counting his money and writing pre-nuptuals so no copper digger from Egbeda touches his perceived millions. ![]() |

^^ Can you PM it to me? |
Caracta: None. You know how parents warn their kids to stay away from bad influence and bad friends. The only person that gives me info is his "girlfriend". He had feelings for the girl one time like that. The girl obviously likes him but keeps her distance too.The girl can still be of help to him before he completely gets to a point of no return. Does the girl have his phone number? |
Caracta: Wow! Thanks a lot. Same story. Out of school. He is now a businessman. There was a time he told me to leave him alone or face the consequences. Sounded like a threat. I've been out of touch but not out of prayers. He was involved in a robbery recently, according to what I heard. JEEZ, the dad is such a failure as a parent. Men do not run from challenges, they confront them. He pushed the poor promising boy to the gutters. Do you by chance know any of the friends he relate with that are still sane upstairs? |
idupaul: At last OP has agreed to being in the JTF .. I am guessing U are even a DSS implant within the JTF ..There is no DSS implant within JTF for an operation like this. During an open operation like is, there usually is no need for a clandestine implant within the troop except amidst the communities. It is a joint operation with all the law enforcement agents. |
cdamsel: really?sorry about ur broda's story, mine is a lot interesting,R231 can vouch 4 me doeI will give you meat when you are ready to drink water.... ![]() |
Caracta: Cute. But what if I needed to run. This carrier na load o. I don't think it's suitable for public functions especially when there is no available private car. Potholes everywhere. Any other alternative? Why would you run with a baby? The carrier is collapsible and can fit any car including "moto".... If you don't like the baby car, you can use the basket below... ![]()

@Cdamsel, Welcome to the house... My elder brother once married an Anambra girl... The end story is not interesting though.... Very good refreshment for you. Two wraps of eba alongside a sumptuous egusi soup.. I am not sure if you deserve meat/fish since you delayed your intro... ![]()

Hmmm, Coward is not a word for someone who is suicidal........ Not everybody has the emotional and psychology strength to absorb an overwhelming situation. Hence the need for each other. If people gave listening ears to those that committed suicide, they wouldn't have done it.... Yoruba has an adage translated as "He who has not seen a big fight will call himself a man". Some struggles cannot be fought alone, they need soothing and comforting words of others to pull through it. If not, it gets overwhelming and consuming. I pray that you do not experience such. You will not have opportunity to call people cowards. It is well with you |
Women are extremely-careful drivers and whatever comes with such connotation is considered bad ![]() On the average, men are simply careful drivers with a lot of confidence behind the wheel but most women are jittery. Reason why Formula one has very very few women in the sport. Averagely women tend to be slow drivers, they are always afraid of losing their lives behind wheels or incurring expenses from bashing cars, hence they tend to go jejely..... . Even the women who don't drive but enter public transport hate drivers engage in healthy competitive speed on the highway. It reminds me of when I was in Ife, there was a day I was going to Osogbo and trying to beat time. The bus I entered was so slow for my liking but the women sitting beside me were complaining bitterly that the driver was overspeeding. Actually, the driver was slow but anytime he raises the car and his faulty exhaust produces a terrible sound, the women felt he was running. At a point one of them was saying, "mo sa aso si ita, aso mi ko ti gbe ooo", (I spread clothes outside and they are not dried yet). Though I understood what she meant, I answered out of annoyance that your neighbour will help you remove them from the line when they are dried..... ![]() |

You have done everything doable with no result. Why not be yourself and stop play acting with her. I wouldn't what went wrong between you two and what she doesn't like about you. Have you ever discussed this with your husband to know where you went wrong against your MIL? DO not live your life seeking to please people. Do what is fair and right to all. Please your God and conscience. |
