Very simple, look for a close female pal, tell her your predicament, ask her to act as your new found love for just 2 weeks. Deliberately eat her food together once in a while during this period. Thank me later.

All these youths with entitlement mentality. Instead of them to think of service they can render anytime there's a match at the stadium they're looking for free money.

Good development. If only 5℅ of our corrupt politicians will invest their stolen money in our economy just like this business guru is doing, Nigeria will be a better place.

Exactly,.....what we have here are politicians, not statesmen......politicians always think about next elections, while statesmen think about next generations.
Trust a politician at your own peril.
The youths are not helping issue, instead of joining forces to put these politicians on their toes, they are the ones singing their praises, busy defending them on social media.

I was going through the above thread and some comments brought me to tears. Some of these comments coming from a 21st century educated youths. The story of Joseph Stalin comes to mind, we have been so dehumanize to the point that ordinary 2kg of rice distributed to less than 0.05℅ of the State population is seen as an achievement. Only in Nigeria will a governor construct a 1km road and then erect a 12x12 billboard to announce his achievement.
Enjoy the story of JosephStalin below:

During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one.

The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely naked.

After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The naked chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature.

The poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet.

Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people".

"You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them".

"If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you".

"They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place."

Breath taking, isn't it ?

Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media.

Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicament

KingsleyJohn:
Interesting idea, but I am afraid it won't fly...

What the youth need to do now is to insist on restructuring the country.

The events of 1966 have so polarised this country that everything, every event, every idea, everybody is viewed from a tribal point of view.

I think the best chance for this country is for us to go back to our roots...

Let each region grow and develop with their talents, resources, at their own pace and in a direction most acceptable to them.
Yea, restructuring of the country is not a bad idea, but with the current expired politicians who have refused to retire, it will still not achieve the desired result. Too much politics has crept into the restructuring debate such that it has now become a tool in the hands of those who have lost in the current order and want to distract the ruling party.

Nigerian youths have lost it already, it's too late.
Do you see the amount of thrash the so called IPOB, AFONJA, VASELINE CREW, ZOMBIE, WAILING WAILERS, IDGAF et al post on Nairaland?? The leaders have succeeded in damaging the psych of the youths. Even if the youths were to agree on a common goal, there will always be a judas who will sell out.
Money will change hands and sacred information would be traded.
Lets pray a youth just emerges from the already established rank, from there we can take it a step further. But its a forlorn hope for now.
I quite agree with your submission.but I still believed we can start a revolution (mental) and change this country for the better. If a 17 year old boy can do that in Hong Kong, then we can. It's so unfortunate, the younger generation that are supposed to be the engine room for this revolution are busy spewing thrash on nairaland..
PoliticsMy Thoughts by bencobenz(op): 5:46pm On Jan 12, 2017
just my thoughts...

I'm not a prolific writer though...

I'm one of those who advocated for change in the last election. But it's obvious that our leaders have failed the youth of this country. I'm sure we have so many youths in their early 40s who have excelled in their various fields of endeavor. The last election was indeed an eye opener, that we don't really need the "money bags' to win election in this dispensation. So considering the youth population at the moment, I'm just thinking.....

what if we identify these Nigerians in their 40's who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavor?
what if we scrutinize them and come up with one who's incorruptible and selfless irrespective of tribe and religion?
what if we decide to project him/her for the 2019 presidential election not minding if s/he's from the North or South?
what if we decide to push this candidate through the various social media platform like we did in 2015?
what if we choose any of the already registered political party to sponsor this candidate?
what if we say enough is enough to the recycled politicians who have refused to retire?
what if we have a mental revolution and say no to politics of ethnicity and religion?
what if we, in the words of former governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi "take back our country from them because it's our future"?

Remember, the society we help them to destroy today, will take its toll on us tomorrow.- Peter Obi.

PoliticsRe: Before You Criticise Buhari For Appointing An 84-Year-Old Durojaiye by bencobenz(m): 6:18am On Aug 05, 2016
I am a strong supporter of PMB, but to say I'm disappointed in the manner that he makes his appointment is an understatement. This is a government brought to power through the massive support of the youths, but they are excluded when it comes to appointment. Way forward, let every youth resolved in their mind not to vote anyone more than 45 years old in the next election. We have to take our destiny in our hands by force, I've made up my mind even if my family members who are above 45 years old come out for next election, I won't be voting for them except there are no candidates younger than them in that election.
