Bishop Oyedepo: Earphones Are Designed By The Devil To Block Your Way Forward In Life (Video)

General overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide (a.k.a. Winners' Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo has spoken against the usage of earphones and phones during church service, saying that it is a tool the devil created to block people from hearing God's word, IgbereTV reports.

During a church service, he said to his congregation;

"We live in a very rowdy time. Young generation, please listen to me. All these things you plug in your ear is to block your way forward. It is designed by the devil to block your way forward. No time to hear from God. Many have never heard anything from God. They even plug it in anywhere, on the streets. Noise, noise, noise! Zero access to divine guidance. Former Super Eagles Captain, Nwankwo Kanu brought his wife and kids to greet Governor Okezie Ikpeazu yesterday, IgbereTV reports.

According to reports, Kanu told the Governor that his two sons who are almost getting taller than him are already playing collegiate soccer in the UK and they plan to become professional footballers shortly.

Governor Ikpeazu told the boys that they would have to work extra hard if they want to match the level their dad reached in football but assured them that it's possible. He describes Kanu as one of the finest footballers in the world and a pride to Abia State.

Chief Mrs Sinatu Aduke Sanni popularly known as Iya Olumo (mother goddess of the rock) and the oldest woman in Ogun state turn 137 years old today 15th August, 2021, IgbereTV reports.

"Iya Orisa Olumo" literally means "Mother of goddess of the rock" was born a long time ago in the late 19th century, 1884.

Iya Olumo is in charge of Olumo Rock Shrine where sacrifices are made to appeal to the gods of the rock.

She has lived her entire life under the famous Olumo Rock, which is one of the major tourist attractions in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

On the record, she has also witnessed the coronation of six Alake of Egbaland.

"Tribute to my Dear friend, Dashe.

It was Yesterday at exactly 5:31 PM I received the SMS that turned out to be one of the most shocking news I have ever received. The SMS read, "Baba, we lost a dear friend." My heart skipped and scampered for answers; a friend? who? I hurriedly called back to ask and was told Dashe had been killed. A student in the school where he taught came from behind him, held him by the neck and stabbed him right in the heart. Just like that! Unprovoked, within school premises, and in cold blood.

Dashe was not just my friend of over 15 years, but this was a brother with whom I lived and studied. Same room, same department, same study hours. In fact, right from our undergraduate days to when we graduated, it was a consistent relationship of rooted care and love for one another. We would pick up a conversation at just a phone dial. Truth is, I'm still in denial of Dashe's passing. It's news that I wish isn't true. It's a shock that pierces through the heart.

Earlier today, I inquired for details of what happened, because I still can't comprehend such barbaric act of a 17 year old student stabbing his teacher. While I was on the call talking with Yakz, I'd wanted to ask if Davou, another friend of ours, was there with him, only to hear myself mentioning "Dashe" instead. It came so easily because I didn't even remember again that Dashe is no more. To refer to my friend Dashe in the past tense is the hardest thing I've had to do lately.

What I feel right now is a pain so deep down inside that cannot be summarized in words. It's a devastating pain one can't simply pen down.
We've lost a genuine human being.

Dashe just got married last November, his wife is due for the delivery of their first child soonest... just to have a barbaric student of Government Science Technical College Bukuru (Butech) cut his life and dreams short.

My friend was the gentlest man I've known yet. Highly dedicated and committed to any task assigned to him. Dashe was simply a brother you can fall back on at anytime, any day.

My deepest sympathies go to his wife, Akoti, his mother, and the entire family. May God give you all the peace you need at this time. May our condolences bring you comfort and may our prayers ease the pain of this loss. I offer you my thoughts, prayers and well-wishes at this difficult moment. May his beautiful memories console us all and may his soul rest in perfect peace.

"PRESS STATEMENT

The Media Office of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki would like to confirm that this afternoon, of his own volition, Dr. Saraki visited the office of the EFCC to clarify any issue that the commission may have wanted to raise with him. He was never arrested and is at home right now.

It will be recalled that following the order of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on the Fundamental Human Rights case filed by Dr. Saraki during the period of the former Chairman of the EFCC which precluded the commission from investigating him until the matter is dispensed with, the commission at the last hearing on July 14, 2021, pleaded with the judge that the order was preventing them from doing their job.

Following this complaint, Dr. Saraki, as a responsible citizen, on his own volition approached the commission that at the earliest convenient date, he was willing to visit the commission’s office and clarify all issues they might want to raise with him.

He, therefore, visited the commission’s office this afternoon and answered some questions. He is back home. He was not arrested. Dr. Saraki also assured the commission that he has nothing to hide and will always make himself available to clear all issues that may require his attention.
