This playoffs is so unpredictable that the so-called "analysts" keep changing their minds from one night to another. Na to shut up and watch ooo. I won't be surprised if the Bucks get the game tonight.(None of the teams has lost a game at home so there's no reason not to think so). And for Utah vs Clippers, dem don dey talk say, the Utah Jazz are done blabla, only for you to see them blow out the Clippers tomorrow with playoff P back to factory settings cheesy. I hope i am wrong about this man for once. I love unpredictability. I expect a monster game from Giannis tonight, he better. I hope calling KD the best player in the world is patting him on the back. I don't think he's someone that would do such a thing, unless he felt he really got sonned. grin. Come out with vengeance.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:44am On Jun 17, 2021
The man shot 4 of 14 from the free-throw line. I mean his name is more or less synonymous with "bad free throw shooter".
Roland17:
If I talk dem go say I dey talk..
They better trade the expensive Lonzo Ball.. We are talking about Max players here, one is supposed to be your 2nd best player!!! @birdman talk say Tobias can knock down shots!
The Hawks pretty much stopped the clock, slowed the pace of the game by sending Simmons to the free throw line throughout the 2nd half and it worked.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 2:40am On Jun 17, 2021
Into the pot that makes greatness comes some luck. Seth Curry kind of just came onto the scene late. Well, all hands are not equal.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 6:26pm On Jun 16, 2021
I still insist se, inspite of all your jargons here, grin, when it comes to post-up he's not on the same level as Olajuwon. Go and watch the 1993/1994 and 1994/1995 series again.
nairamaniac:
Watched that game and I was amazed.
Kd playmaking like a guard.

Would always be underrated in the history books due to have achieved more in all-star studded teams.

I keep on saying he currently has postup to legwork moves as good as the best of them all.

Do you see Ole in your dreams every night? One would think you know the man personally.
Illimitable:
It’s not like Ole was dead in the last 30 months. This is Ole’s 6th transfer window and his common sense cannot tell him that McFred in the midfield is inadequate to win a league title? grin

MOTM performance.

This performance tonight was even better than the World Cup final. Kante should be the unsung hero though.

It would be bad if they didn't, and i am sure they wouldn't want this game to end in 4 or 5 games.
Android17:
If I am being honest, they let the Bucks play very physical in game 4. But this game 5 is definite home cooking (in favour of the Nets).

I will believe this when it happens. Has he ever done such a thing? cheesy grin
Roland17:
Nash had a big decision to make going into the 2nd half. Do you just shut down Harden and find some scoring from somewhere else? Or risk him and hope they find some rhythm? Irrespective, the Slimreaper has to come out even more aggressive going into the 3rd. He can reel this team to a win without the others.

Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 5:52pm On Jun 12, 2021
He should have 2, 3 years ago. It may be too late to incorporate that into his game now. It wasn't as if Olajuwon came in with all that footwork. He worked hard at it, honing and honing into multiple-headed machinery.
Roland17:
I always believe a great player has to be great at what they do at all times before expanding their games. They also have to be the best player on their roster on most nights before we look at the others..

The GOAT was great at his jumpers, had a great jump, speed, incredible footwork and so on, KAJ was a god under the rim, his footwork and passing were incredible, LeBum was unstoppable whenever he put his head down and drove to the bucket and has the power going to attack the rim, The Black Mamba, kills you with his jumpers, drives and handles in transition, The Slimreaper is a demon with his jumpers and when he attacks the rim especially in transition, Curry is always cooking from deep.. and so on and so forth with other dominant players.

Giannis is unstoppable under that rim whenever he decides to player there, I don’t think there is anyone outside of Embiid that has the capacity to dominate the rim in this era outside of Giannis but you see him looking to play outside his strength which frustrates me.. He is now afraid of staying under the rim because he wants to avoid the FT line. We see him shooting 3s and playing the ISO point forward which has been mostly successful, however when opponents build a wall or get better with help/ weak side offense he becomes confused and starts taking bad shots.

You can’t employ or develop new skills you never used in the regular season during the playoffs. The playoffs is about being great at what you do best at all times. I made a similar argument last season when folks talked about Giannis expanding his game and I said, not now because he has not exactly perfected what he is good at just yet..
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 5:49pm On Jun 12, 2021
The point was he should have. It's rather too late.
chic2pimp:
It wouldn't work. Let Him work with Pat or may be Timmy. He probably won't ever be able to shoot like those two aforementioned players as they had two of the sweetest jumpers of all time but atleast He could learn some of their Post moves most especially Ewing's.

You need to be have some semblance of footwork for your workout with the Dream to pay any dividend so Giannis working with Hakeem at this point would be fruitless. He'd look like Bambi on ice if He tried to incorporate any of Hakeem's Guard like moves. Leave that to the likes of D.Booker .

There's a thin line between being stingy and being financially responsible. In the end, it comes down to perspective.
bepositive11:
That guy is extreme though. How can he ask his gf to pay him back a few thousands? What will he do if they should get married? Ask her to pay for everything he buys for her? That's madness

Stingy and financially responsible are 2 different things
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:37pm On Jun 12, 2021
Why hasn't Giannis gone to see Olajuwon, en? He should have done that a long time ago, once he realized his shortcomings. That man would be averaging 50 in this series.

Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:05am On Jun 10, 2021
O yes. Maybe they should allow hand-checking at a much severe level at least in the playoffs. cheesy. They already allow them do it to Curry anyway, so why not. We are looking at an era when no matter how star-studded you are may not be able to sweep the worst teams. They may just catch fire from 3 in one of those 5 games.
Roland17:
At some point the league has to do something about the barrage of 3 PTS attempt we are seeing in the league today.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 6:55pm On Jun 09, 2021
First bolded: You referred to 2015. Man you cannot define what happened in 2015 by what happened after that year, at least in terms of All-NBA selection. Why would anyone do this. Quite disappointing. Besides most of the Leflop argument is with respect to the fact that he unnecessarily exaggerates hits. You clearly do not understand the history behind some of the names people call Lebron here. Read and understand. O pari.
nairamaniac:
I just realized that me and you agree on somethings

Like "LEBRON NOT BEING THE GOAT".

But the fact that he isn't the Goat, doesnt mean he is Leflop or Lebum.

If he has been a flop or bum for past 10yeard, then every other player has been worse than a flop or bum for past 10seasons.

My reference to iguodala and draymond were not for that 2015 season alone.

They both made the all stars at some certain points in their careers.
And they played some significant minuites along with 2 of the best shooters nba had ever had in klay and curry against Lebron who carried the majority of the offence on behalf of kyrie and kelvin Love.

Loosing 6finals is not a knock.

He only undeniably flopped in one finals he met the mavs. Having not developed a jumpsuit.

Last Last, we are both right about one thing; He is not the Goat.

But neither is he a bum or flop as you depict him, irrespective of if it's just once in a lifetime or a million times.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 5:00pm On Jun 09, 2021
You said he killed the Clippers. That was false information. Do not distort a fact to suit your argument. cheesy
nairamaniac:
He killed the team that killed the clippers. Everyone expected the clippers to dominate la out of the west.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 4:58pm On Jun 09, 2021
First bolded: Most of who? If what you were saying was true, Kobe would be in the GOAT conversation. But wee he isn't. I do not know where you got that from. Perhaps you heard or saw that somewhere and assume it was an argument of most.

I am trying to avoid insulting you man. Kobe is not in the GOAT conversation, so using him as a reference is not useful here. You are not listening and that's quite sad.
Second bolded: Abuse? Please use you the correct words in this context. Saying someone lost 6 finals is not an insult. A knock perhaps.
Third bolded: Which lots of people? Man in which world do you live in? And please do not use some too? It's not a useful word. The question is what does an average NBA fan, reporter, journalist think? You could call ten people randomly and no single one of the will take KOBE as the both.

4th Bolded: Iguodala wasn't an All-NBA player at that point. Properly contextualize your words/statements. Elite defensive player perhaps. Besides Klay and Curry only made it into their second All-NBA selection that year and Draymond his first. They were not Perennial all NBA players then.

Last bolded: Ofcourse most people think is saying he's not been the best player for at least half of the last 10 years. That's not the argument. I have made that very clear. The argument is that he's not the GOAT. I don't know why you cannot udnerstand this.
nairamaniac:
First bolded; kobe as a lot to do with it becos most of you that abuse lebron's lagacy praise kobe for wining as almost as much finals as he appeared in.
5victories in 7 attempts.
Also cos he is more clutch than Lebron.

Meanwhile you abuse lebron cos he won 3finals at some point in like 9attempts.

So kobe is my reference to your hipocracy.

That's what he has to do with it.

Let's assume that neither of them is the GOAT, cos jordan owns that crown.

KOBE AND JABAR are in that conversation on lots of people's lips.
Also pls jabar had a lot more better career than both magic and lebron. I place him above both.

I finally agreed to place him far ahead of LeBron.

How many team leader's would score above 40% FG with his best 2 teammates being injured against a team that had 4allstars, if you add IGUODALA and Draymond to Klay and Steph.

All four top players had reasonable roles against Only lebron in that series both offensively and defensively and you expected him to make more that 40% FG.

I watched every minute of that 2015 series life and to me it was the hardest finals that any top player had ever faced.

Also mind you, lebron's strongest-hold isn't SCORING-INDEX.
HE has never been a TOP5 to TOP7 best natural scorers in the NBA.

But when you look at other areas of his game, he has been the best in general for past 10years.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 4:31pm On Jun 09, 2021
No you are not listening. I am saying do not use as good as and to an extent in the same sentence. To an extent is kind of "not as good as". But well when he does it, it looks really good and fluid. No argument.
nairamaniac:
See, the legwork and post works snt a signature move by durant.

Make do it like once in 5games

But when he doesn't it, it could be as good as hakeem.

I'm not talking of how many times he does it, I'm saying how based on few times he did it, he did it soo well like it's a signature move.

I can say TO AN EXTENT and AS GOOD AS, cos everything here is based of opinions of several people.

It's SUBJECTIVE.

I can say TO ENTENT, DURANT has postmoves as good as Hakeem when needed

Or scores as EFFICIENTLY AS PRIME MCGRADY.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:39pm On Jun 09, 2021
He didn't kill the Clippers cos they never met in the playoffs. That was an expectation. I seriously doubt your basketball knowledge for bringing this up.
You don't get it man. You can be great and still not be the GOAT. That means there are levels to greatness.
Ofcourse, AD can dominate on both ends of the court and still not be the finals MVP. Domination is not equal to MVP, especially when you have another dominant player beside you.
You are making it seem as if you are making some solid fresh arguments, with your "embelebe treatment" and friendly-slaps. No you are not man.
nairamaniac:
Are you saying that him leading his teams to 10finals is overrated as a point of aguement to emphasize his greatness?

I wish we could just meet in real life so I can give you the embelebe treatment he gave to that woman that burnt a 5year old child's head. grin grin grin
Well, just kidding with the violent act.

But somehow you deserve some friendly-slaps if that's what you meant.

Azin, some of those finals were kind of easy, cos east was weak.

But some where very very difficult.

Last year, no one expected lakers as at beginning of season to beat the clippers of the west.

Yet, after killing clippers, most haters came on to say "he wouldn't have succeeded without AD".
YET, lebron got the mvp.
Then haters came on to say AD Dominated both ends of court.

You guys gotta give props when it's due bro.

Let's forget all these many talks, we are both pulling this thread several pages behind.

I'm enjoying this thread more than all these our many talks.

Take care bros
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:28pm On Jun 09, 2021
Not as good as Hakeem i am afraid. Sorry, for me nobody touches Hakeem. cheesy. He would be in the GOAT conversation if not for the sparsely talented pool of players he played with. And please when comparing people, do not use as good as, then to an extent. I have no idea what that means. Besides, i am not arguing those points on Durant. The series is looking like a sweep, i am only hoping Giannis gets angry enough to make it interesting.
nairamaniac:
. Giannis is only more physical and athletic than durant.

But durant is the most efficient, most versatile, most fluet scorer since kobe and jordan.

Also, he occupies more space defensively that 90% of players in the nba with his heght and wingspan.

He has more as much scoring moves as Prime-Tracy-Mcgrady.

Shoots as good as Curry to an extent.

Legwork from a post as good as olajuwon.

Leap as high as lebron with that wingspan

Durant would have gotten at least 4 regular season mvp if he had stayed with OKC at the rate he was going.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:22pm On Jun 09, 2021
First bolded: For someone who's intelligent, i find it hard to understand why you would use that. When I say you are confused now you will complain. What has Kobe got to do with this?
Second bolded: You have literally not done anything. Bringing Kobe and Durant into this is unnecessary. Most won't consider Kobe GOAT, not even Jabar, not when he played alongside a point guard who's easily top 5.
He's not competing with Kobe.
Your "you've not stated anything he does wrong enuf or not good enuf" is quite childish. I am sorry to say that. In the GOAT conversation people bring up the 9 straight argument. Nice but losing 6 of them doesn't help your case. Second best is what you are. grin
In the Cleveland series in 2015, your guy averaged almost 36 points/game with 40% FG%. You would assume he was spectacular until you look at the FG%.
All you have done here is sing his praises, which is expected. It doesn't help him in the GOAT conversation though. Sorry, it is what it is.
nairamaniac:
And so bloody what? Even when it comes to goat conversation's when placing lebron next to Jordan or kobe or jabar, u haven't stated anything he does wrong enuf or not good enuf to be soo overated amongst them.

That he won 3finals in 8 doesn't make him a bum or a fraud.

He has been invidually in top 3mvp to top 5 for past 12seasons apart from seasons he was injured.

He has been individually the best player on the court in all the finals besides the one against durant in his last finals in cleveland.

And we know that's becos durant was in a much more better team/system than lebron.

Even kobe you allllllll opppeeeen your wide mouths open to say he is the genuine clutch-player ahead of lebron wasn't even the best player on his own team for the first three finals he won in the Lakers.

Thank God he made up for that later with 2more finals, but we all remember how he got swept with that same team enroute to the 3rd conservative-finals.

I'm using your own yardstick of FINALS-PERFORMANCE TO WIN YOUR OWN ARGUEMENTS NOW.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 2:23pm On Jun 09, 2021
I am sorry, but when it comes to the GOAT conversation everything comes to the fore. Every detail. Every series. Besides i don't think @Roland17 uses it that much. Besides the LeFraud, LeBum( i once called Le(3-6)Bron. cheesy) has become so common that we all sides look beyond it, so it's an absolute waste of time harping on this matter. Besides in our GOAT conversations, if you bring up the 10 finals argument of course, if i claim it's bullshit, especially in the GOAT conversation, it simply means it's overrated, which also means he's overrated. Very simple argument. The fact that you don't get this baffles me.
nairamaniac:
It becomes more than a banta when u want to permanently change his real name.

U may not deny his greatness(cos u can't), but you want to Dilute it to as little/low as possible.

U shd know what I mean by "AS IF HE IS SOOO OVERATED".

Sounding like everyone who places him as a great is blind or kind of overating him.

See that last baba roland17 used one quarter he made 1 in 4, to berate the greatness of his 18season career.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 12:48pm On Jun 09, 2021
