No make I vex you. . Brazil is not winning anything. KingAlabi: |
Ship that overrated luxury out. Nothing go clear for our eyes unless he leaves for free. ![]() Karleb: |
For his own sake I hope he can and does better. Joezinho: |
Leave Mctalent out of this. There's something such as playing within your means. Granted we are not all operating on the same wavelength talentwise, but we can surely judge your crappy decision making ability. Everybody knows his limits so nobody would be surprised if he can't do something like that, so why do it?96forever: |
. He got carried away. raumdeuter: |
I believe in only the best should be selected. Nneka especially is an elite player in the WNBA, although she may have dipped following her MVP and championship years. I am still pained by the fact that some of these players will be dropped cos the Ogwumike sisters decided to represent Nigeria, and i wish we could have it another way. I mean it would be nice to reject some of them because the players who made us first choice are actually really good. . But it is what it is. If you want to compete, you invite better players. No sympathies. ![]() PDPGuy: |
If they get clearance na to watch our women play at the Olympics be that ooo. Perhaps that changes our fortune in that group. I just don't like the fact that if they do star, Nigeria would just be a rebound. ![]() PDPGuy: |
Southgate got an English team to the semis of a world cup and he's close to getting this team to the finals of the Euros and well-positioned to win it. Many of us claim he's not good, but well at least he's very lucky. Very interesting subject. ![]() |
But was that a penalty? |
You are making my point unknowingly. Pogba is excellent at controlling the ball and shielding off his opponent if the ball comes out from a clearance, but he can not do the same when someone passes the ball to him under pressure. That simply means he's inconsistent under pressure. Isn't it? Exceptionality is characterized by the player's ability to take control in critical moments. You look at it and say wow, he made it look easy. handelex: |
Very simple. If you can look at that sequence of events again, please do. The ball was kicked out, two English were very close, yet he was able to control the ball, hold it and then pass it out of danger, and remember the English players were actually behind him. He was well aware, took care of it and then passed it out. He made it look easy. Now that's what I would expect from an exceptional midfielder. handelex: |
Ahah, i was wondering why you would even ask me to do that. It turns out you are the man that claimed it was Kante's fault. I am no longer surprised. Continue. ![]() Trevor012: |
You are obviously not following. My point is Pogba is inconsistent. He could be world-class one moment and then fail in a basic midfield duty the next. I repeat, a good midfielder should have taken care of business in that Pogba debacle, not to talk of an exceptional one. Yet someone said, it was Kante's fault. I still cannot understand that take. ![]() handelex: |
Are you kidding me. You know how much time that would take? Anybody go pay me for that? . Besides if you were watching you would have seen that. . No vex me abeg. ![]() Trevor012: |
;. I hope you saw that sequence of display of skill by Braithwaite. Once I saw that the first person that came to mind was the so-called magnificent Pogba. I would think the "exceptional Pogba" could do better. I don't have anything against Pogba, just that I believe he's overrated. . Very simple. nitrogen: |
See that control by Braithwathe around the 60th minute or so despite that, there were at least 2 English players applying pressure. That man is a forward/winger. If he can do that, I do not understand why Pogba, an "exceptional midfielder" would get dispossessed in the lead-up to the equalizer by the Swiss. just pointing that out. . Some people here thought Pogba couldn't have done anything else instead of messing that up. ![]() |
Are you alright? . No be una dey say we are overpaying players?Oasis007: |
Are you sure you understand yourself? Cos if the Bucks are a good team without Giannis, it simply means Trae young is more important to Atlanta than Giannis is to the bucks. joshboo: |
That's what I fear. The lads are already exposed. I do not want to see such a move ruin them that early. They may never come back from it. Infact it's for a similar reason i would rather most of these kids attend college before turning Pros. birdman: |
It looks like Trae young was a more important player for ATL in this series than Giannis was for the Bucks. But assuming they could have done better without him against the Nets could be an exaggeration. The suitability of personnel could vary from one series to another. On the issue of allowing college players to benefit from likeness blablabla. An expectation of a good NBA contract is a powerful motivator, especially for teenagers, letting them have a lot of money early on could hurt that motivation. On the other hand, most of these players come from poor homes. They could certainly use some money to stay away from crime and negative atmospheres as much as possible. Perhaps regulating how much they get could be fine. |
I do not understand this. If a coach is not good enough you get an alternative and fire him. Very simple. Ofcourse there would probably be the problem of having to pay them a severance. So if you consistently run into bad coaches stop offering long term contracts. Offer 2 year contracts, so you won't have to deal with their mediocre performance for long. But the mediocrity of NFF is worse and I cannot see them changing their bad luck. I would like to be wrong for all our sakes. As I previously opined, NFF needs to do something about developing coaches locally. 12large1: |
See that Jumper(leaning back) by Lopez. It went in with a swish. I wish Giannis could do that. |
Dokuman na craze man, see speed. . But with all that you no fit connect well. Maybe just a rich man Dan James. Why these Italians dey fall for ground though. Ah. |
Lukaku still dribbling towards a side that lets him use his bum. . The Italians made the Belgians look like farmers. They just gave away a penalty. Doku bated the man and he fell for it. |
I would like to know where God said i am all-knowing in the Bible, apart from others' offering their opinions of who God is or using that as an exaltation. My point is nobody knows for sure what all-knowing with respect to God actually means. It's unfathomable. You cannot put a tab on it. Infact it's in our lack of understanding of God's power and knowledge that we say he's all-knowing. The word all-knowing is clearly an expression of a lack of knowledge. Not our fault we don't know. We just don't. It's beyond us. And at certain points in all his mercy, he reveals a portion of his glory that may be too much for us to handle. Kobojunkie: |
The choices you make are informed by what you know or believe or lack thereof, so yes they can be limited. If you think not, i do not know how to help you here. This means even in our world as we constantly interact, we don't entirely have free will. So with respect to God, we can simply define freewill as our choice to worship him and do what's right. Again i say you are not well-grounded. You don't seem to know that knowing all possibilities and their outcomes is great knowledge. You must think all knowledge must be determinate. This is not to say God pre-determines or determines, just pointing out that even in the kingdom of men knowing even some possibilities and their outcomes with certainty/probabilities is a lot of knowledge. You obviously did not get my Quantum Physics analogy. I used it as an example of free will and knowing all possibilities coexisting, nothing more. The last i checked Quantum Physics in all its incompleteness does a good job at prediction. Quantum Physics is quite different here cos it assigns probabilities to each possibility so that it tells you that on average this will be the result, and if you in fact repeat the experiment a number of times large enough, your result would fit Quatum Physics reasonably at least in the purview it operates in. My opinion of "God knowing all possibilities" on the other hand means he could know for certain what will happen if you do this, which is more deterministic. I am not even saying this is the case. Techguy96: |
The question is letting us mke our own choices for the most part could very well be part of his plan. I only described a scenario that accommodates both our free will and God's omniscience. I never opined it is certainly the case. And please we only try to describe God based on our experiences. In terms of God being all-knowing, we cannot fathom the very depth of it or what it entails in it's entirety. You may want to provide further explanation on what oyu mean by God indeed knows all things and not simply all possibilities and their outcome. Cos for one knowing all possibilities and their outcomes can only be divine or a divine impartation. Kobojunkie: |
This is only possible if the power of God is limited. The concept of free will obviously means making a choice of free will. It doesn't mean the choices you could make are not limited by you knowledge/personality/beliefs and on and on. Your understanding of what freewill means is obviously not sound. In Quantum Physics for example researchers deal with determining the possible scenarios and the probabilities of those scenarios. You can let the particles roam freely but when you try to check in on them, you can on average be sure they are doing one of a number of things. Of course i used the word average cos i believe we humans have our limits with regards to knowledge. Second bolded: What do you mean by he doesn't have a plan? What kind of plan do you want? The grand plan could simply be you live your life expanding your pool of choices as you on, by selecting from the plethora of choices(finite or infinite), then I judge you based on your choices. You must think God's idea of a plan must fit with man's idea of a plan. That would be assessing God from your myopic perspective. And that's quite terrible. Because someone says it's God's plan doesn't mean it is. And besides i did not say God doesn't pre-determine. Before you talk, you must first listen. If anyone tells you he knows God's plan, he lies. I mean we are talking about an eternal plan here. You role in the plan may just be a dot on an uncountable number of pages. Techguy96: |
First bolded: Omniscience-meaning God knows everything could easily mean he knows the result of all possibilities. It doesn't necessarily mean he has pre-determined a possibility. That is he allows for all possibilities, but he knows the outcome of each one of them, which means free will can still be accommodated. Now i am not saying this is the case, but this is a perspective that takes in both the Omniscient status of God and the free-will of man. Second bolded: What do you mean by reality, as in tangible? In this case you may have to state what kind of evidence you are looking for then we can first decide if the workings of the spirit sometimes/never/always allow for such evidence. If this point is not first addressed the rest would be fruitless. Fourth bolded: There's certainly nothing divine about reli. For the most part let's say religion/sub-religion/sub-denomination is a compendium of rules. It's meant to guide people. Now whether these rules come from God is another thing entirely. They may and they may not. Now the word divine means of/from God, so if you don't believe in God it's quite unpurposeful to use that term. It's quite unenlightening to use a word when you don't even believe in the existence of the meaning of that word. The existence of God, and the proliferation of religion are two different things. Do not lump them together. You don't see anything man. It's quite sad that you think you know a lot to stay on the irreligious side. You can do better. Workch: |
Un, the GMs better be careful ooo. Na the team's dem money sha. Me don talk, people just dey add muscle anyhow for this period. Within a year or two we will know if na correct muscle or na air. . But I sincerely hope it's the latter. We get to see an era dominated by black coaches. Ah make black people coach black people. ![]() steady986: |
I disagree with this. They won the first two games at home without him. He slotted into a very important game away, what is to say they could have won that without him? Especially with Kawhi out, they could have still won. Of course, there's no way to prove this, but your take on they don't get there without him is a kind of an exaggeration. Surely, it's great he finally got there. Another star added to the shoulder of the floor general. ![]() Roland17: |
It depends on whose reference frame you are. In the reference frame of the soap, it becomes dirty, on the other hand in the reference frame of the floor, the floor becomes clean. . Good enough?ChiefSosa: |
