Hi everyone, urgent please.
can anyone help me with the contact of a pediatrician that can help me here in the US. I am still preggy and waiting to give birth in Sept but my 3 year old is been ill for 5 days now.
I have been giving him paracetamol for a while now thinking it was change of environment thingy. But the whole thing got worse, need to get malaria drug for him according to his doctor from Nigeria. But I have discovered I can't get a malaria drug without prescription. Can anyone help me.

I don't know if drugs can be sent via post. Let your hubby send you malaria drugs from naija use expedited. If you take your toddler to the pedi and he's positive for malaria they might quarantine him( don't know sha).

Update: remember I told you I registered with a community health centre which is managed by MT Vernon hospital. I had a doctor's appointment today. Getting to the admin, I met a different lady who said I can't see a doctor for prenatal if I dont have an insurance. I explained to her that I have gone passed the insurance issue before my doctor's appointment for today. That am doing self paid. She insisted that self pay is never possible for pregnant women. After much argument she insisted I see a pre care instructor. I saw the lady explained to her that am visiting and I just want have my baby on self pay. She understood me quite alright and called admin tha they should allow me see the doc on self pay. I paid 20$ to see the doctor. I showed them my reports from nigeria and the doctor said at 35wks they usually repeat all the test. She did some her self. So many test up to 7. Then I was sent to the lab for blood test and about 12 bottles of my blood was taken. At the end they said my bill is 20$. I thanked my God so far for being faithful.

Babe better find out how much the hospital cost ASAP. I used a health center for my first but when I got the hospital quote of 13k, my sis I ran as fast as my legs could carry me

Social worker has been following my babys case to register her for medicaid saying she is a citizen. I keep saying No because i dont know what to do, but he says he doesnt affect me in anyway. My hubby and I cant afford the final bill when it comes out, the best we can get is 15% discount. Pls if you had a similar experience or know a similar one advice me abeg. Will signing my baby up affect my visa renewal? Or affect my baby in the future after 18yrs of age? God why me. This is really tough for me.

So sorry about your baby dear. It's well with you. Like zee said, take Medicaid. A friend had her baby in NICU for a month and her bill was almost $100k. Took Medicaid and has even had her second baby in the US this year.
Since you've paid all your own bills you're good to go. Do what you have to do.
