Twitter definitely has more rational & objective members than NL. --- On Topic: We are just grossly shameless as a people. This is not about politicians, it is about the moral standard of society. Nigerians are just so brazenly morally deficient. |
KALMA1:I need $30 |
--- |
OAFMods:What is the proportion of electricity that is being generated by Hydro (Dams)? I understand it's less than 25%, with the rest being from gas fired plants. --- So, are we giving out a portion of this Hydro power or we are giving out portion of our entire electricity? I'd like to be enlightened. |
These State Legislators even rejected their own Autonomy during the last constitutional ammendment. While they must be commended for, at least, agreeing to extricate themselves from "Slavery", it is quite disappointing that they didn't extend this "Freedom" to cover local government administration. |
Cuteamigo1:While the Chinese are building factories on every street, we are building churches on every street corner. Rather than think and work, we delude ourselves that we can pray ourselves out of problems |
einsteine:I couldn't agree more. That writeup is not even elementary economics, it's layman economics or worse. |
Junior66:I'm actually not worried about the OP"s view, but rather the 100s of young people who "liked" it. It shows that if the affairs of this country is entrusted in the hands of these, we are doomed. --- Once you diagnose a problem wrongly, you are most likely going to proffer the wrong solution. |
Jorussia:Who is going to make the investment? Is it the very people responsible but who all prefer foreign medical trips. Maybe if they understand that they can't seek medical services abroad as public servants, they might think about making the local medical centres to work. |
@OP, you are erroneously comparing currency strength based on their nominal value. Nothing could be further from the truth. Currency value is determined by their purchasing power, which is a reflection of the overall health of the economy. --- Are you suggesting that the Ghanaian Cedi is more valuable than the Japanese Yen, simply because it has a lower comparative nominal value? --- Higher denominations do not cause a currency to weaken, but rather weak currencies (with low purchasing power) causes the need for higher denominations. Solve the weak currency and the need for higher denominations disappears. You solve the problem of weak currency by increasing productivity, having a positive trade balance (export more than imports), etc. |
"Salary payment is not something that a succeeding administration can ignore to pay, but it can decide to abandon uncompleted projects. That is why the completion of ongoing projects is very important and that is why Governor Fayose had decided to devote the N11b to projects completion," he explained. So, based on this warped logic, Fayose would rather leave unpaid salaries for the next administration to immediately be under intense pressure. |
LordAdam16:Thanks for the compliments. I can see that we've done away with banking and gone back to stone-age savings methods for fear of hackers. |
femicyrus:If the "wizard" has such wizardry, he should hack a bank server and manipulate accounts in his favour. --- Stop being so negative and primitive. Technology has come to stay. |
Kingwizzy16:Buhari borrowed to buy nomination form and not to finance his campaigns. There is light years difference between the two. PMB's campaign was bankrolled by Amaechi, Tinubu and Co. |
michlins:That's a brilliant point. |
SOIL ORGANISMS - "organisms found in the soil". --- My agric teacher would score you zero for that definition...lol. |
Pataricatering:I said "might". BTW, in 2015, GEJ and his minions thought Nigerians were deceiving themselves. |
refreshrate:Of course, she was. And I was too. |
Abogwara:And a dearth of intellect. --- Wtf is a state government doing building a huge religious complex when there are millions of unemployed citizens looking for industries to work. |
Apparently, she's always on the losing end of the voting spectrum. The majority of Nigerians might vote against PMB in 2019 - meaning she'll lose again. |
baralatie:In fairness, I wouldn't say the core northern states are opposed to cattle rearing. I think the states closer to the sahel region are suffering from environmental issues (desertification). Hence the need for the herders to migrate down south where they can find vegetation to feed the cows. --- But as I opined earlier, group ranches should be the exclusive prerogative of state governments. If a state says NO RANCHES in their vicinity, then that should be respected by all. If they are willing to provide ranches or colonies for cattle rearing, then they should set clear rules of engagement between the herders and the locals to prevent conflict. |
laudate:If a government deems it fit to provide ranches (or colonies) for cattle rearers, there is nothing implicitly wrong with that if the objective is to control their activities. My concern is that this should be the exclusive prerogative of state/local governments and not the FG. --- MACBAN should visit each state governor and discuss these issues with them. The fact that the FG is trying to impose these colonies on states is very worrisome. I'm not aware of the FG building spare-part markets for igbo traders or the FG building parks for transport businesses. |
Absolute bunkum! --- The other groups the infidel is referring to here are socio-political groups, whereas this evil group is a criminal business group who have refused to make the necessary investment (ranches) for their enterprise, but have resorted to trespassing into others farming business to feed their dreadful cows. |
The president's disposition and tepid response to the violence perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen is an indication that the president might tolerate electoral violence in his favour. |
Title says Nigerian UN ambassador. Body says AU ambassadors to the UN. |
What the article says may be largely true, but I can bet my bottom dollar that Bishop Kukah never wrote that article. |
The Land Use Act is the greatest disservice that the OBJ administration bestowed to Nigeria in 1978. But what annoys me even more is the fact that our current set of lawmakers since 1999 have not found it expedient to expunge such ridiculous Act. --- But that is just one of the problems. The bigger problem is that the FG arrogates to itself so much rights and responsibilities under the EXCLUSIVE LIST. Why should the FG be in control of POWER distribution? Why must they control all our water ways in the states? No state (even with capacity) can develop sea ports without recourse to the FG. --- The responsibilities on the FG is overwhelming, which explains why our development is slow. We can blame the states all we like, but until the FG removes its hand from controlling resources domiciled in the States, we will b running in circles. |
To the best of my knowledge, annual physical examination is a constitutional requirement on the US president. The Nigerian president does not have any constitutional obligation to share his medical records with the public. |
iamJ:Which airtel plan gives you this bonus and what is the activation code? |
Just in case you missed the joke, MORATA is now synonymous with MISS. So, please, do not morata this opportunity...lol. |

Absolute bunkum! --- When religious leaders endorse you lot for elections, you accept them wholeheartedly and do not warn them to steer clear of politics. PMB had Pastor Tunde Bakare as running mate in 2011. I guess it was politically expedient then to use a pastor to score cheap political gains with Christians. --- Is this douche trying to say that the ongoing killings are politically motivated? You mean the religious leaders should keep mum and watch their constituents get slaughtered? This administration just keeps descending to a new low everytime. |
