As host governor, you can welcome the President-elect. You may use that opportunity to introduce your surrogate, but that's where it ends. GMB has already been briefed about the monumental fraud & debt perpetuated by ur govt, and how u intend to use ur surrogate to cover it up. So he is visiting to encourage Akwa Ibomites to vote UOU come Saturday, after which ur case will be looked into - Kirikiri is a real possibility now master. |
If this is true, then bad news for oil producing countries. Once production starts, this will increase supply and further drive down oil price. |
Ewizard:Damn! That was below the belt. Kinda feel the guy deserves it though. |
comos:The House of Assembly members will remain in office till May 29th, even after the elections on Saturday. |
kodded:’We will run a transparent government and in doing so I will not favour my family,’’ he said. If even his family will not be favoured, I'm sure things will not be easy even for his party members. |
I've pondered the same question. I think they shouldn't, but I know they will for now as it's going to help the party strengthen while weakening the oppositon. Bad for democracy, though. There is also the risk of adulterating the Change agenda. |
In Akwa Ibom, rumors abound about Victor Attah (former governor & PDP BOT member), Don Etiebet (PDP BOT member), Senator Ita Enang all planning to defect. Currently they are all openly campaigning for and attending the rallies of the APC candidate. |
If I was given that quantum of money to do such a shady job, I wouldn't regret either. |
INEC should ensure that the card readers work properly this time. Those ridiculous voter turnout in the SS was embarrassing. In other news, now that the APC is firmly in control of the executive & both houses of the legislature in Abuja, what would become of PDP if APC wins about 24 states in the Gubernatorial elections. PDP Which once prided itself as the only party with a national out is likely to become a regional (SS & SE) party. |
It's disturbing to keep reading these kind of news of wastages and financial recklessness from this party/administration. Please May 29 just come already. We need to start seeing some semblance of sanity in the polity. |
It doesn't matter anymore now. They know GMB is fully eligible, but were only hoping to use Federal Might to sway the judge. Even NTA now reels out Buhari's educational achievement. I also hear even the military now claims to be in possession of the General's certificate. We have ourselves a New President. |
Why are the names of those who persuaded the president to concede defeat mentioned and yet none of the names of the 'hawks' is mentioned. I smell a hidden agenda as trying to subtly sell these lot as good guys. Not buying it. |
FFK, Okukpe, Fayose, Mama Piss, etc really undid the president with their motorpark campaign rants. But as a friend told me - If the president has not called them to order, then he agrees with them. So in the end, he undid himself. |
Menace2Society:I take that to mean that Igboland is a lot more developed than lagos?? |
Akwa Ibomites should rise up and wrestle the state from the machinations of the Akpabios. Right now, there is genuine fear in the PDP camp. People now come out to boldly chant APC and the Change slogan in the state. PGEJ loss has changed the equation completely. It has weakened the incumbent and emboldened the oppositon. My money is Umana Okon Umana (APC). It might not be a case of love for Umana but rather hate for Akpabio. |
san316:That was sarcasm for people praising the grand fraudster. |
SLIDEwaxie:100 likes for that response. Couldn't have said it better. |
The People's HERO! |

HERO down, ROLE-MODEL next to follow. |
mmb:There is always a band around the peg. Usually 3-5% but don't know what it is right now. |
MrRhymes101:The article said "to rise further" meaning it has risen already (from 225 to 204). |
Fantastic expose by a patriotic Nigerian. I do understand that of all Petroleum Ministers in the history of Nigeria, Tam David West and GMB are the only ones without an oil bloc. My reason for campaigning for the General was because of my implicit confidence that he was the most credible man to lead Nigeria at this time. Now I am even more confident I did the right thing. |
Most major marketers display that price, but 9 times out 10 you'll never find the product selling there. |
ocelot2006:Who are "WE"? The developmental strides of Akpabio is unmatched, and I have to give credit to where it is due. However, there are a lot of other considerations of self determination at play right now that will work against him. You also cannot underestimate the factor of not wanting to be in opposition with the center. |
chrisviral:Aso Rock was locked down as at 1 week ago. Go figure! |
ocelot2006:I bear you no grudge bro. But I believe you & ur family are in the minority right now. |
klax:Park not Pack. |
Naturally Boss! Vote Umana Okon Umana (APC) for Akwa Ibom State governor. We need to wrestle Akwa Ibom from the machinations of the Akpabios, and crumble their evil dynasty once and for all. |
grabs:... “The emergence of Buhari connotes positive market sentiment." Since you are fantastic reader, I'd like to believe that you read the above quote as well. |
I am not a big fan of Fayose and would be very embarrassed if he was my governor, especially for his conduct and utterances preceding March 28th. However, I do think Ekiti state deserves less of politics and more of governance. Both the executive and legislature in that state should figure out a way of ending this drama so they can focus on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people. Nothing would please me more, though, than seeing Fayose booted out of office. |
Positiveminds:Thank you for the compliments! |
“The emergence of Buhari connotes positive market sentiment. Specifically, the naira which had been hovering between N215 and N222 to a dollar since this year closed at N200 to a dollar on Friday. The man has not even been sworn in and yet there are positive economic news everywhere. He has not instituted a single economic policy yet talkless of implementation and yet the financial system is already responding favourably to his emergence. In other news it is reported that foreign investors who have never considered Nigeria for their investment are already lining up to come. When asked why the sudden interest, one of them said 'because we know we don't have to bribe anybody now'. |
