Just read what you just wrote. The omnipotent God who sends His word and it does not return to Him without accomplishing it, has decided to break with His character by asking Oyedepo - to pause on a project He had given him permission to embark on, maybe God is looking for counterpart funding to complete the project, God forbid. This is Oyedepo's albatross and he does not have the money to start.

I don't blame you materialist, when the only reason you became a Christian was the promise of wealth and health.

Wait a minute. Let me take a deep breath.
- When does a project start? from construction or from the plans? or from approval from the owners of the project?
- A man did a plan for a building without "divine approval"
- But the same man is saying that he is waiting for "divine approval" before construction can start.
- So who gave him permission to draw up the plan?
- Let make this simple for you. Julius Berger gets permission from government, even before they draw up a plan and the only reason they don't start construction, is because money hasn't been released. (permission-plans-permission-funding-execution)
- Does Julius Berger draw up plans, even before getting government approval and then announce that they can't start construction without government approval??
Q.E.D: Living Faith does not have funds for the project.
You can argue with yourself.. it doesn't change the fact that, God said the project should wait for now and Bishop simply obeyed. Your garbage opinion notwithstanding. Smh.
You are funny.. You mean the arguably one of the richest churches in the world don't have funds for that project... Now I know you really don't know anything at all.

1. But did He not go ahead before announcing it last year?
2. What go ahead is he looking for, after announcing that he will embark on the project?
3. Don't you seek for divine go ahead, before even announcing that you are embarking on a project?
4. Why embark on a project and then stop mid-way saying that you are waiting for go ahead from God?
Dont be ignorant and be ranting nonsense. The project was never started as in actual construction..we only saw a 3D design of the proposed construction project of the faith theatre as designed by covenant university students and in Bishop idea he wanted the project to start but Heaven has not given the go ahead so actual construction havent really started. How is that hard to understand. Smh.

Malachi wasn't talking to Christians. Malachi admonished the Levites to bring the tithes to the storehouse. The storehouse is a silo in the temple where the grain and food were suppose to be stored.
Keep ignoring the facts.
It's almost impossible trying to get you to speak the truth.
You are not a Levite, even today the Israelites that were directly instructed in tithe payment can't establish that there exists a pure Levite anymore and thus can't even pay tithe. Na one man from Ijebu ode come fit collect tithe?
Did Jesus a non-levite receive tithes?
Did peter a non Levite receive tithes?
Did Paul receive tithes?
If not, where did you get your doctrine from?
Every Scripture in the bible is talking to christians. So stop the self deceit
2 peter 1:20-21
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Tim 3:16
All scripture( whether in the old or new testament) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Rom 15:4
For whatsoever things were written aforetime(paul refering to the scriptures in the old testament) were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope

Are you so ignorant to understand the above verse.... you are funny try to deceive yourself that the tithing scripture is not applicable to modern day Christians and believers. Big fat lie from the pit of hell.

If the Apostles or Jesus receive tithe.. we are not told that they did..but how can we know if they did...by taking a cue from Heb 7:8.. Paul, the chiefest of the Apostles validating tithing...Heb 7:8 it stated clearly that "And here men(God ordained servants of God) that die receive tithes; but there he( the resurrected Jesus Christ) receiveth them(your tithe you pay in church), of whom it is witnessed that he liveth".

The levite is a priesthood office God commanded the tithe to be brought to. Who is a priest. Remember..Abraham paid tithe to Melchisedeck..who is a high priest of the most high God.
Now who are the modern day priest? They the men of God called into the the 5 fold ministry offices of Pastors, Prophet, Teachers, Evangelist and Apostles.

Who are the modern day priest? From Mal 2:7..we see a priest as also defined as a man who carries the knowledge of God to feed God's people with, Which in modern day Christianity are Pastors, Teachers, Apostle and prophets who teach the God's word to the people of God in church as directed by God now comparing that with Jer 3:15. We see pastors are asked to feed the people of God with the knowledge of God. So priest are pastors also. So trying to confuse yourself on who are the priest or Levite and who is not can't achieve anything.
Remember Jesus is the high priest presently sitted on the right hand of God -Heb 4:15.That is why paul said in Heb 7:8when tithes are brought to the men that die( the priest) receive them, in heaven also Jesus.(the high priest himself) also receives them.

Jesus Speaking on tithing validating it in Matt 23:23(NLT)
What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law--justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.

Untill you are able to bring scriptures instructing tithing as not to be done as contrary to what is in the scriptures. You are yarning garbage.Tithing is commanded of God and should be done by a christisn though not by force but its important to enjoy certain blessings associated with tithing as stated by God himself in Mal 3:14-15.

Let me give you my spiritual experience of tithing.
When I lived in France during my Masters studies. I was on scholarship. I receive my monthly allowance in Euros. But then as a Winner member. I worshiped online. Then i will pay the tithe of my allowance by converting the Euros to Pounds bècause it seems convenient and I paid the equivalent of my tithe in Pounds as at that time.
My elder sis dreamt one day and said she saw an angel come and take some money from my hand and ascended to heaven but the money was in pounds and she was suprised that how come, that i dont spend pounds here in France, how come there were pounds in my hand. Later when i returned back to 9ja.. my sister and I got talking and told me the vision and I told her i pay my tithe in pounds so she understood why the angel took pounds from my hand. Then it dawn on me oh my tithe that i pay in church is also recorded by heaven as shown in Heb 7:8. That experience encourage me to continue tithing and i am not likely to stop forever.

I will not go back and forth with you on this tithing matter. I believe in tithing and will continue. If you dont. No wahala. It is well.

If you as a christian stop tithing because of the lies and deceitful stuff these online agents of hell are propagating. I bet you 100% you wont like the consequences. If you think its not true. Stop paying tithe and watch your life and see if things remain the same.

If you are not a christian your opinion on tithing is garbage. God is not looking for your tithe neither are the genuine called men of God. So keep your money and your tithe if you are not a christian. The church dont need it.

Then if you are so hell bent on Malachi, then follow the law to the end as it is done even today.
You must establish that you are a Levite with no possession.
You must also establish that the people giving this tithes are farmers.
It is given every 3 years.
There were prophets even in the days of Malachi but they were not eligible to get the tithes simply because they are not Levites. This is a covenant God had with that particular tribe and reasons were given for this. And don't come up with that shit of being a spiritual Levite because Jesus himself the link to the heritage of Christianity was of Judah, the head of the church didn't collect tithes; Peter and the other disciples didn't collect tithes because they understand these simple laws.

Was Jesus canal? Was Paul canal? Since you are suggest that my understanding is canal.

Don't deceive people. If you want to collect tithe for yourself, state so exclusively for all to understand and not under the guise of the bible which clearly doesn't support your motion.
If you dont like the book of Malachi because it admonishes Christians to tithe..why not delete the chapter from your bible so that you now say were was it written sef to justify your non paying of tithe.

You are talking upside down because you have no answer to scriptures i posted supporting tithing in Heb 7:8 Paul speaking and Matt 23:23..Jesus speaking supporting tithing.

So you have now run out of counter productive argument to imply i am looking for people to collect tithe from.lol Abeg get lost.. you have no case. I am neither a pastor nor have a platform for feeding people spiritually as ordained by God. So I am am not looking for anyones tithe. I support tithing based on strong personal conviction while enjoying the proven benefits of tithing.

More deceits from your stable.
Levites are descendants from Levi, one of the 12 tribes of Israel who were not allowed to have possessions in the land and thus can't farm.
The Levites also have priests who are descended from Aaron. In fact, the Levites also paid their tithes to the priests.
Now, the Jews, were mostly from the tribe of Judah and also of Benjamin and some of the descendants of Levi who dwelled in the southern Kingdoms when israel was split between the Northern kingdom of Israel and Southern kingdom of Judah. (Note that the Northern Kingdom with the other 10 tribes do not exist today as a known nation since they were exiled and now regarded as the lost tribes)
You know why Jesus or any of the apostles didn't receive tithes? It is because it would have been ILLEGAL because they simply were not allowed by law, whether spiritual or physical to. So if the founders of Christianity, the first pastors and preachers didn't receive tithes or obligated it, why should the "modern" ones do that?
You guys should stop twisting the bible.. the spiritual law about giving of any kind was explicitly documented and given.
Untill you can state clearly were it is stated tithing should not given in church as commanded in Malachi 3:13-15 and Matt 23:23, your argument is a contrieved fake deceit.

Heb 7:8 it stated clearly that "And here men(God ordained servants of God) that die receive tithes; but there he( the resurrected Jesus Christ) receiveth them(your tithe you pay in church), of whom it is witnessed that he liveth".
Who wrote Hebrews? Is Hebrews part of the old testament? Was it a Levite that wrote that verse?

Jesus Speaking in Matt 23:23(NLT)
What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law--justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.

You cant argue what is clearly stated except you want to deceive yourself but certainly not me.

Your carnality is clearly validated because you dont know who a spiritual jew is let me help your bankcrupcy of understanding.

Rom 2:29
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God

This verse is refering to believers who have received Jesus as their Lord and saviour and have become children of God.

The problem is that you are an unregenerated natural carnal man and as such CANNOT understand the mystery behind the tithing covenant. Yes its a covenant. Your spiritual understanding is so shallow that you cant see beyond the false perceived view that pastors are taking advantage of the tithe of the people of God to seeing the significance of tithing as it affects the person paying it and the God receiving it as stated in Heb 7:8 And as such you result to natural letters to explain and justify yourself not to pay tithe thinking you are right. How unfortunate!!

Hey! Enough of this deceit.

When we say thithe this thithe that, did your pastors bother at all to tell you how it is paid and to whom it is paid to and what should be paid as thithe?

Ok. I had an Israeli classmate and his surname is Levi, take note of that surname though.

1st even in the bible, ONLY farmers paid tithes and they are given to the levites because they had no inheritance in the land. The Levites then tithes to a priests (from the lineage of Aaron)
I asked this guy as a Jewish person, if they still tithe today, and he said no because it's not possible because no one can rightly prove that they are full Levites today. Tithing is a Jewish law and not a Christian one and even the people whose custom it is as commanded by God can't establish it today and so can't compromise their laws but can that be said of the pastors? However, he submitted that they are all encouraged to give 10% to CHARITY.
You are the one with deceit on the truth on tithing.. You understand the letter but cant interpret it correctly. Levi.....doesnt mean a person name its a priesthood office which can be interpreted as modern day pastors, Apostles and Prophets.. Tithing is no Jewish law its a scriptural law. Period!!

Tithing existed before the law As Abraham tithed, Jacob tithed.. it was practiced during the time of the law as commanded by God.. so dont confuse anybody.
Jesus didnt come to abolish the law like he stated but to fulfill the law and after the law in Heb 7:8 it stated clearly that And here men(God ordained servants of God) that die receive tithes; but there he( the resurrected Jesus Christ) receiveth them(your tithe you pay in church), of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Let me quickly explain the concept of tithing to you and what churches preach.

1. Tithe didn't come with the law. Abraham Was The first tither in scriptures.
2. He was already blessed before he gave tithes and he had access to more blessings after tithe.
3. Abraham gave 10% knowing fully well that the remaining 90% belongs to God, why he was able to sacrifice Isaac.
4. Tithe became a law to the Israelites to give 10% of their proceeds to the Levi (who were the priests) cos the levites were not to work. So the Tithe was their wage.
5. If you didn't pay the tithe as an Israelite, God was angry with you and punished you.
6. The new covenant came, Grace took over law. So the tithing concept under the law is gone.
7. The tithing idea of Abraham is what is being encourages by our pastors today.
8. Abraham was not forced to pay tithe, tithe payment is not by force.
9. Abraham was blesses before he laid tithe, we are blessed with all spiritual blessings already (even of we don't pay tithe).
10. Nobody told Abraham to pay 10%, so he could have paid 20%. Pastors today think it is reasonable to give 10% to God (Apostle Suleman already increased his to 30%)
11. Under the new covenant, our given is based on our love for God and our understanding of giving. You can decide to give God your whole salary for a year.
12. Our pastor says just like Abraham paid 10%, it is reasonable for us to have a 10% set aside from our income to give to God.
13. When you tithe, there are blessings attached. If you don't tithe, you are not cursed.
14. In all, God owns all your 100%.
I will disagree based on he scriptures clearly describing a nontither as cursed.

Malachi 3:7-10
7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it

If you like argue with the bible and justify yourself and deceive yourself that tithing is not important. If you like claim its pastors idea, we clearly see it..saith the Lord of host.. Its your choice to tithe or not but the truth is constant come rain or sunshine. So dont confuse anybody.

I agree with him.. rubbish tradition...Bride pricing payment has been used by African parents to fleece prospective grooms over the years and should be abolished.

If i had a daughter and someone comes for her hand in marriage. After all the formalities..i will make sure the so called bride price is returned to the young man seeking her hand in marriage and let him know my daugher is not for sale..so be careful how you treat her.
