babapupa:Again i have to educate the reetard. And how did the state find out that the governor stole funds? is it not through proper accountability? we all know that the lagos state government past and present are crooks but no proper audit has still be done to date, please correct me if i am wrong. I dont know why morons like yourself refuse to face facts and realities. well, it is the Nigerian way. turn a blind eye and pray to God that "e go better one day". yeah, e go better indeed. did you take my initial advice? your refund is pending. |
riyageh:GBAM!!! |
babapupa:Here we go again. i regret to say that you are using all of your faculties minus the the one that matters most. Please for God's sake this is too simple to comprehend. My question is DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IS COMING IN AS REVENUE AND HOW MUCH IS BEING SPENT? How is this difficult to understand? if we do not know how much is coming in as revenue and exactly how much is being spent then how are we sure the funds are being used judiciously? When there is transparency we will be all too glad to pay any toll or tax levied by govt. but first lets do an audit for heavens sake. I lived in Chicago for years and anyone can tell you that it is one of the most highly taxed states in America. But we are all to glad to pay it because the finances of govt is public knowledge and we know how our funds are being managed. And if by your incoherent attempt to sound/look logical is your infantile way of schooling me on issues then I conclude that you have been defrauded by the institution you might claim to have passed through and are due a hefty refund. |
Princek12:my guy you no see the smiley at the end of his post? |
babapupa:reeetard response as usual from a nairalander. trash collection that is non existent and epileptic where it exist. state workers that are owed wages months at a time. teachers? let me not even go there. hospitals that are no better than chemists. schools where students sit on rocks to recieve classes. bridges that might collapse anytime. metro rail? yeah right. My guy did you even read my post in the first place. can you honestly say how much is coming into the state treasury and how much is being spent? you dont know do you? neither do i so i want to know. Has there ever been a credible audit? please digest and respond intelligently. |
I have no problem with paying tolls but first please explain to me how the taxes lagosians have been paying are being spent. Biggest problem with nigeria. no accountability. |
frosbel:what you do not understand is the "oyinbo" people you have mentioned understand what nigerians refuse to and accept. simple truth. if you want a country with no laws, where you can pretty much do whatever you want so long as you have the cash to back it up then nigeria is the country to go. In that kind of environment you can make some serious money. but at whose expense? do you think those "oyinbo's" will invest the proceeds of their original capital back into the economy? have you ever heard of capital flight. what do you think MTN and those big multinationals are doing to the economy? They are taking their profits back to their country of origin and gradualy scewing us dry. The govt knows this but cannot or will not do anything because of egunje. UP NIGERIA. why would i not want to go back for a while? but stay? hell no. |
beknown:The bolded statement is enough reason not to even bother coming at all. can you read that? no regulations. that sums it all in one sentence because "no regulations" exists in all aspects of life in Nigeria. |
lonewolf:Thank you my brother. Thank God we still have sane Nigerians. Athough i cannot say same for some who live on a day by day basis without understanding their surroundings or their existence. |
frosbel:My guy, no one is denying that crime does not exist all over the world but how can you compare the UK with what is happening in Nigeria? If your home gets burgled in the UK, aren’t you confident that when you call the cops they will arrive at least 30min later? Try doing same in Nigeria. Or can you compare the magnitude of decay in our political society in relation to the polity in the UK? If there is no difference in standard then what are you still doing over there. Deploy back home and let me know of your experiences. As for me, my best advice to the OP is ONE LEG IN AND ONE LEG OUT. Nigeria is not conducive at the moment for anyone who has tasted quality standard of life in the west, that is of course if you have millions stored somewhere that can make your life comfortable back in Nigeria. But from what I have realized from my numerous visits back home: NOTHING BEATS PEACE OF MIND. I don’t think I can survive in an environment where I have to barricade myself at night because of lack of security or bribe my way before I can have services that are my right. OP think well before you decide. |
I went bungee jumping for the first time this year. Scariest thing i ever experienced in my life. There is nothing worse than the feeling of free fall. It was even more scary than my first parachuting experience, can you imagine that? But i'd do it again in a heartbeat. I am an adrenaline junkie you see. ![]() |
safariman:Agreed. that is why we need more indegenous policemen with local knowledge of their environs. |
safariman:what logic!!! My God!!! you are talking as if only people from other tribes commit crimes in states other than their states of origin. and your post about politicians, pleeeaaaasssseeee. have you not been a witness to what our councilors and governors have been doing to people from their own states? My guy, i think you have stayed too long in the west and are far removed from the happenings and realities on ground in Nigeria. stay current for your own sake. The problem in the Nigeria is simple. The mentality of corruption has been cemented into our psychy and only God can save us now. State police will not solve anything. what is prevailent in the federal force will tripple with the adoption of state police. |
kabukabu50:Are you sure you live in the west? so from your experiences there compared to that of living in Nigeria at one time you have come to that conclussion. Do you think state police would work in the US if the rule of law and jurisdictional observance did not exist or was well enforced? No be by posting pictures oooo. it takes a lot more. have you considered how tribalistic and nepotistic nigerians are? |
Recipe for disaster. we are too tribalisc and not matured enough. the concept has not been digested enough already and you can see what Kai and lastma is doing in lagos. |
Sagamite:I swear sagamite, you no go believe the kind trouble wey you nearly cause for me today. if no be for my rank i for do push up today for my outburst while there was a meeting in the next office partition. How i want take tell 1st SGT say na post from nairaland wey i read make me laugh that hard. if you see the eye wey e take look me you go fear. Watch freshly laid egg hatch ke? you too much jooo. |
God forbid. He must not die. at least not yet. he must witness shame before he goes and visits the devil. he must thoroughly be embarrassed before he sees death. may he live to be 150 years of age in Jesus name. His later years will be a living hell by God's grace. |
i just saw the poll and i was amazed by the result. My people let me be blunt. women always want something or someone to look up to in a relationship. respect comes first before anything. love will eventually dull away with time and it is only respect that keeps the flame burning. |
bolafex:So hanging around gigolos is "enjoying life?? is that what they are calling it these days? enjoying life? really? Wooooooow . . . . . . |
By the grace of God, they will make it possible.
Amin aunty mi. |
splitting the country will be an impossible task. what with oil and greed in the mix. until oil runs out and the mentality of nigerians the way it is presently then it will be till death do us part. There is no law, no police, no justice, so why would pdp and the fat calbal agree to split nigeria. Life as it is, is too sweet now so why change it? fracking country. |
Gbawe:Bro's, you look the picture well so? when you mix young athletic looking studs and grandma's in the same room what else can it be? i am old enough to spot the difference. |
^^^My wife has that same gene too. i am just four years ahead of her but if you see her you would think she's 21. so beautiful. I'm so lucky. |
How old do you really look? Clocking 40 pretty soon but could easily pass for a 25 year old man. very advantageous dont you think? |
Further proof that nigerians deserve the leaders it has. No one is saying she should not have a good time, but not in public like this. And for such a publlic figure to be caught with gigolos is to say the least distasteful and disgusting. And to think some retards are supporting this. Nigerians and their psychy. |
and so? what has age gotta do with it? how does her age change the way you feel about her? or are you looking for excuses? |
flawed as a person and as a gov, but you gotta like the guy. |
justise:My God!!! is this guy for real? someone please pull out the straight jacket. |
Sagamite:sagamite my guy, i don tire. i don de get migrane because of people wey de NL. I often ask myself "is this how nigerians really think?". Issues that are so clear and obvious will bring out all kinds of weired reactions from people who claim to be schooled and informed. if this is a reflection of the psychy of nigerians then we are doomed. |
LA2:what you have just said is "i will commit murder because my boss told me to". . . . . . . The reason you talk the way you do is because you are not informed. you have been exposed to the nigerian army/thugs so you think it is the same eslewhere. Trust me it is not. |
jmaine:This is what you have just said " as a soldier i swear that i will commit murder because my leadership told me to, be it enlisted or officer" |

"Also I am not one to be too particular on comforts, security though is a must." If this is true, why the need to be compensated for the absence of said comforts? My point is this, you are obviously aware of the Nigerian environment, yet you set unrealistic goals. Are you truly ready to relocate to Nigeria, or are you trying to find a reason not to relocate? If you really are ready, do your research, find out what the pay scale is in your profession in NIGERIA , not based on what you earn right now in a country with established labor laws.
