justise:Kai!!!, take that back. Don’t you ever compare the military in Nigeria with the one’s in the US. When it’s your turn use the excuse that “my superior told me to do it” and see the result. Do you know how many soldiers are rotting away in Leavenworth right now who used that excuse? We are taught to question orders that go against the army values and my guy murder goes against it. |
I am not against him being released since our impotent govt cannot prosecute him. it is wrong to incarserate someone for the sake of it. we know he did wrong but evidence must be produced, his cased judged and when found guilty put in jail or shot. For me, i have nightmares knowing that in nigeria, you can be picked up for any reason and put in jail indefinitely without justice taking course. Here's to al'mustafa's ambition to be president in the near future. knowing Nigerians, it is a high possiblity. |
gbolex:Bushman. who are you to dictate fashion. have you ever worn a tie? of what use is a tie to the outfit you wore? It is fashion bro. . . and it is objective. |
Fuuunnnyyy!!! All of a sudden almost all the females on this topic are saints. . . . . . yeah right. . . . . |
Chrisbenogor:God see logic. Have you not been listening? As Nigerians we are too prone to deceiving ourselves. So because we offer peace missions, and dash out funds we cannot afford qualifies us not being a failed nation. That trait is a Nigerian trait, fake bigmanism, spending more that he can afford, purposely distracting its citizens from the real problems at home. Wait a minute, why is Nigeria so different from Somalia and sudan? Having peppersoup to eat at evening times does not qualify as development you know. In the case of sudan both have wars going on, both lack security, their electoral machinery is flawed. Both cannot manage the oil that they possess. Their social infrastructure is decaying rapidly, both countries have thieves in govt, so pray tell why is Nigeria so different from sudan. Have you been to the Christian part of sudan? You would think you were in lagos or Abuja. I know this because I have Sudanese friends and I have seen pictures just like I have shown them pictures of Abuja to make them realize that Nigeria is not completely like the niger delta. So please tell me what is the difference? |
@Chrisbenogor, your rethoric to the layman would be close to intelligent but to people like us who obviously and truely intelligent, it would be a tough sell. Let me dismantle your so called logic step by step. Step 1, you agree there is decay on all levels of society right? so how can you trust the next man to follow through on his pledge to fight with you when the time comes? You don’t even trust people of different tribes in the so called error called Nigeria. Step 2, if all levels of society has been corrupted where do you start from but from the beginning. And the beginning my friend-in-denial is from the future generation. Start teaching them what is right now so our future can be guaranteed. Step 3, you claim violence is the answer I agree with you but not in Nigeria. Do you think I will trust my life to someone who does not know which way is up when holding an m16 or would desert me when shown cash. Like I said before violence is not strange to me but I would never trust a computer warrior when he is trying to lead me into one. Especially one from Nigeria where at the sound of gunfire would disappear like the wind. Believe me war sounds great until you are in it my bro. I have done two tours so I know what I am talking about. In conclusion, we have no recourse but to resort to bringing up our children the right way to take over for the future because if they are as messed up as this generation is then the cycle will continue. |
honeric01:I am not surprised. Denial is a disease rapidly spreading and has overtaken most people there. "no, there is no problem in nigeria jooo. what are they talking about? is this not isi ewu and star lager i am digesting here? if there is problem will i be able to chop this correct meal? let me swig another bottle Jooo. eehh nnamdi, yussuf, ade, come and see what these foolish people are talking about. failed ko failed ni. i beg make we go hussle correct babes for unilag jare" Dream on brother. one day you will wake up to reality. |
honeric01:step 1 has been achieved by making you acknowledge that fact. step 2 then is to help you understand that the revolutionary route will not work. The average nigerian's mindset is too f.u.c.ked to make it work. i know, the next thought would be to say/think that i am coward. far from it. i risk my life on a daily basis for what i believe in. violence means nothing to me, i have been trained for it. but my training has also taught me that for violence to work i must trust the guy to my left and right and most importantly, the guy behind me. they should be able to cover me 360 degrees. Money and corruption has eroded our way of thinking so much so that the first sign of dollars the Protesters and revolutionalist would abandon ship. No, the way forward is to start from home. I mean from your home, with your children, the future generation. Ours is gone. Nothing can be done. Start teaching them what is right and they will not depart from it. Good morals has been thrown to the wind and it is time to bring it back. Distance them from words like egunje, settle and the like. Show them how to dispose of refuse properly at an early age. If they unwrap a piece of candy and there is no garbage site in the vicinity, then put the wrap in your pocket until you get home then dispose of it. Show them how to prepare a budget at an early age so they will be prepared for the future. Teach them what patience is. Rushing and fighting for position will not do. These are baby steps but they are strong foundations that will last forever. One person cannot do it. It must be a collective effort. This is the only way forward. Our children. |
honeric01:My brother, i dont know why you do not want to accept this simple truth. you and i know that our votes dont count. how can it when thugs can just highjack a poling station and the police are powerless to do anything about it. This is the reason why we have failed. when something is going wrong in a country, at least you are rest assured that you can change it with your vote, but not in Nigeria. How can you change anything when the electoral process is flawed. Plus, not to mention that the the police is impotent. what this means is you will have the same set of people ruling, much like what is happening in Nigeria. Soon we will become a monarchy. And with each decade that passes the rot becomes stronger and more aggressive so much so that Nigerian kids already understand words like, “egunje”, ‘’chop” “settle”. My guy we don fail pass fail. NA REPEAT WE DE REPEAT CLASS NOW. |
^^^^Tell him Jooo. . . . . |
Chrisbenogor:Like i said before. DENIAL. GOD DEY. E GO BETTER. "YOU ARE NOT PATRIOTIC ENOUGH" Did you even bother to read the link i posted? see what your president is saying about democracy. |
zoraro:it seems most of you do not understand the dire situation Nigerian is in. There is no foundation for development and i am not talking of infrastructure here. The mental and psychological decay in Nigeria is unbelievable. future generations have been scared beyond belief. what is an abomination elsewhere is the norm. Think about it. if someone you know contests an election and wins, the first thing that pops into the average nigerians head is "man, e don hammer". The thought that should pop up is "how do i make him/her accountable", (which should be norm) but we have been scarred psychologicaly to the extent that the thought is instinctive. Nigerians have accepted corruption as a way of life. Another problem is denial. the average nigerian hates the truth And will fight tooth and nail to live in denial with the excuse that “God dey” or “you are not patriotic enough”. Meanwhile his/her circumstance is worsening but prefers to turn a blind eye and keep “hope” alive. My Guy, the country is failing rapidly with the brakes gone. And to prove my point. . . . .http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2010/dec/18/national-18-12-2010-001.htm |
strangerf:Are you high? define well functioning. . . . . . |
balo:I am really sorry for my outburst. i apologise. i find it hard to resist attacking m.o.r.ons. Friends? |
balo:My God!! see zombie. Mindless m.o.r.o.n. Not too surprised. enough of them in Nigeria. Oya, go and jump in the lagoon. you must do it 'O. since you do not have a mind of your own. Abi? who even told you we voted for fashola in the first place. fashola's victory was a case of two rigging monsters at war and fashola emerged victorious. we are just lucky that he has a semblance of decency in him. so get you theories right. |
always foreseeing my errors before they happen. . . . . . . ![]() |
fair warning from a thug/thief/drug dealer/murderer/smuggler. . . . . . . . . . . |
balo:I cannot see your point, believe me I have tried. Did tinubu not utilize the option of a second term ticket? Why is it so difficult to swallow the notion of same by fashola? No one is saying banire will not perform but fashola has the option and upperhand of contesting for a second term . Oshiomoleh came to UI with only his car and no security, does that make it any less risky for a public official? I pray, please tell me your point? |
hackney:Typical insane Nigerian mentality. |
adekampe:my guy, all that one na circus act to make us believe he is humble. A politician is still a politician and can never be trusted. Personaly i think he was stupid to even do a thing. with the level of insecurity in nigeria why would he take such a risk? like it or not kidnappers are looking for anyone who can afford a million bucks. i still dont understand how that makes him a great leader. A great leader is one who identifies another leader and nutures him like fashola did with him. |
@lagchick. . . . .you too much joo. but alas, a second term is the norm in politics all over the world. also fashola has broken barriers unheard of in Nigeria so i think muiz would probably have to wait. in as much as he has done great things as you claim, we have to agree that the hallmark of a great leader is the ability to identify talent, nuture it and let it roam free. considering the norm of Nigerian politics muiz would never have flourished except for the great leadership of fashola so we should give honor to whom honor is due. @fahola. . . . YOU ARE THE ONLY LIGHT OF HOPE SHINNING IN THAT CESSPOOL CALLED NIGERIA, SO YOU HAVE MY SUPPORT 150% AND THEN SOME. |
buzugee:confirmed: 5 years old. (waste of precious time and leaves room) and i am an old timer with time spent in the US. (Jesus, he couldn't even understand that). |
buzugee:Oops, typo. But still who is this? why the need to use words geared towards making us feel you belong. Even old timers like us no get that urge again which makes me believe you are probably a kid with access to his dad's computer. It's almost bedtime. time you went to sleep. this particular topic is for adults, no wonder your childish imputs thus far. |
buzugee:Like i said, who is this for God's sake? must you google all these words in other for feel you belong? which kain thing be this? |
buzugee:who be this person sef? just de yarn opata since. |
i swear. . . .i see no reason why anyone would want to live in the US without papers. Living here without papers is like beign a slave. . . . . .you are at the mercy of everyone. Naija govt. God punish all of una oooooo. |

here:no you are wrong. our comments do not end on NL. there is a deeper impact you fail to realize. Your comments signifies the mindset of the people so if out of 10 comments and 9 are completley out of touch then there should be something to worry about our country. Not only Nigerians visist NL you know. Like i said "think long term". |
mr official: we are an extention of government. do you know why we need secrets? because we as human beings are inherently selfish. we think only of ourselves period. Government exist to provide for us and will do anything to make that happen including making some hard choices on our behalf. we are talking about state level secrets you know. small pikin see juju de call am vegetable soup, also my guy, NL is like government in this case because what you will do as an individual you will do when you are in govt. secret na secret. we should not be privey to everybit of information. are you telling me if you had information from the ministry of defence you will go online and spill it? if that is the case i would not like you behind me. there is a word for that kind of action. it is called being a TRAITOR. |
here:My guy spilling secrets is a dangerous game. How would you like it if someone broke into NL’s database and revealed your true identity for all to see. I bet you would not like it and probably be talking about suing the owner of NL Right?, . . . . There is a reason these are called secret you know. . . . . . .the reason most of you are so much in support of this is because it does not affect you directly, if it did I’m sure you would not be so quick to defend assange. Please think long term. |
come to think of it, for all those in support of Assange, why keep your identity on NL a secret? delete you ID's and input your real names for all to see. shebi you like openness and truth, . . . .let's see how that works for you, |
I knew that some moronic Nigerians on NL would be in support of Assange. As Nigerians we have two main problems; 1, we are the biggest hipocrite in the world. who among you would like anyone spilling your secrets for the whole world to hear about. There is a reason they call it secret you know. And 2, we never like to tell ourselves the truth. Fracking country. The fracking guy is threatening to plunge the world into chaos and morons are supporting his actions. Kail. . . . . . . . You have never seen war thats why. . . . . . . . |
