The reason you feel that way is because as a Nigerian you have never been used to proper democracy nor a normal electoral process. If a person makes his intention known about his political ambitions I would very much like to know about everything he has ever said or done in the past. This is very important because as a politician, he is deceptive by nature and would want to portray a saint at the time of campaign. What he did before his political ambition reflects his true nature and intentions. That is how it is done elsewhere: total scrutiny of one’s personal life. The sooner we understand this the better for us as a country. even if it is 100 years ago, i want to know. . . . .

Why not match police salary with that of the national assembly and let see what happens and the calibre of people they will attract into their force?

1. It is double taxation, because we already pay taxes, and our money is to provide social amenities.

2. Paying of toll on a road is not in its totality wrong BUT it has to be a new road. This is an existing road which WE have already paid for. Our taxes created the road so it is OUR road, you can not concession our property to foreigner or private individuals. What they should have done was CREATE an NEW road, and then tax or toll it, so we can use our own road, or alternatively pay and use the NEW private one.

3. If you have to toll every road before it can be maintained, then we would not move in Lagos without paying 5000 naira daily.

4. 120 naira is too high for such a road per passage. it is concessioned for 30-50 yrs i think, so its ridiculous. 5 naira would have been more reasonable. Do you know the traffic on that road?
