It is also very important not to take anything away from Joe Biden. He's an incredible man/ candidate and could absolutely get the job done. |
you have a very gd point. i also think minus ibbness, big b is ok. ![]() |
It seems you are more accustomed to Nigerian politicians.Obviously, you did not catch the gist, but it's OK; you're still a good man. |
Apart from Mandela, I honestly see nothing else that is special about these Shantytowns residences! |
Something tells me that part of Mpele's frustration is coming from the fact that he isn't Nigerian. |
There is a deep measure of hopelessness, anger and desperation, among the South Africans and this is very serious." @topic: I totally understand what you're going through, but it is absolutely foolish to focus your negative energy on Nigerians. |
'Poverty is getting worse in South Africa' September 10 2008 at 08:01AM Poverty levels in South Africa had worsened in the past 10 years, with more people poorer now than then. "It's across-the-board. I have noted with deep pain that almost all the provinces are facing similar challenges as far as poverty is concerned," said Ndungane. "The situation is worse than it was 10 years ago and is worsening. There is a deep measure of hopelessness, anger and desperation, and this is very serious." http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=124&art_id=vn20080910064214799C797487 |
Poverty in South Africa "If South Africa fails to address the issues of poverty that affect more than 40% of South Africans both society and our democracy are under great threat," said the organization African Monitor following the first of nine poverty hearings that will take place in South Africa in the next two months. In this first poverty hearing, held in the city of Bloemfontein, hundreds of residents came to speak of how poverty affects them. The stories they told were ones of dire poverty, of being unable to access social grants, of a lack of social delivery, abuse of elderly people in communities, unemployment, a sense of a loss of dignity, and that poverty affects and frays the very fabric of society. http://www.whiteband.org/blog/archive/2008/08/05/poverty-hearings-kick-off-in-south-africa |
Obama has only made this decision just because of tomorrow! And it may be a perfect decision, but it is damn too risky. Believe it or not, real politicians are bunch of cowards; they do not like anything too risky. Obama is a real entity and not a real politician. |
but not in the case of Hillary ClintonThat is the name of politics and the main reason why most reasonable folks stay away from politics. Sometimes, it is absolutely acceptable and pretty much logical to eat with your worst enemies, as long as these folks can give you the needed edge over your competitor. This is how it's done and will remain so for many many years to come. FYI: Palin and McCain obviously do not have chemistry or anything in-common; in fact, there is possibility that they hate each other. But when it comes to winning, real politicians only think about today and not tomorrow or next week or next month. Just Today! |
Nah, Hilary Clinton is a sell-out!My friend, sometimes you need a "sell-out" on your side to sell all your enemies. Now it makes sense for Hillary to stay cool and watch the game of politics. If Obama doesn't win, it would automatically give Hillary a second chance to come back in 4 years to knock down McCain or Palin, which I think is feasible. Don't you think so? |
It Is Clear That Obama Needs Hillary To Win; Period! This topic was posted in July 31, 2008 |
It is also important to understand that the republicans have implemented 2 strategies (just like real politicians): One was designed for Hillary Clinton as the VP, while the other one was also designed for someone else as the VP. Therefore, it did not matter who was selected; the fact that the Dems had to pick their VP before the Republicans automatically gave the republicans the edge over the Dems. My questions are: 1. Who made this decision on which party to select the VP first? 2. How come the Dems did their convention before the republican? |
VP selection Joe Biden = A sensible and a better selection Hillary Clinton = A political and the right selection. There is a big difference between a better pick and the right pick Obama is a good man, but not a real politician. Real politicians do not think about tomorrow; they do what needs to be done to survive today. "Tomorrow is another day". They do not care about being sensible or being sexy or being handsome; it is a dog eat dog world, it is all about winning. Obama needs to spend couple of weeks with IBB for some lessons. Nevertheless, we must keep hope alive! |
Some of those lists remind me of African AmericansAfrican Americans? As how? |

is this individual a kid?I ask myself this question everyday! ![]() |
I have no doubt in Obama's abilities and intelligence. He is not politically matured for what is aboutto happen to him.I agree! VP selection Joe Biden = A sensible and a better selection Hillary Clinton = A political and the right selection. There is a big difference between a better pick and the right pick Obama is a good man, but not a real politician. President Sarah Palin = Asian horror movie |
Mitchell is beautiful, tall, curvy and dark skinned but just few symmetrical balances with the expression and she will be hot!I totally agree with you; and something tells me that she will get there soon. I just hope it isn't going to be too late. It's not what you do, it's how is done:::::Style is a KING |
The site or link you've posted listed 1o things that we now know about Sarah Palin; now, my question is: what about 100 other things we do not know about this chick? You must be severely brainwashed for you to come here to start a topic that says Sarah Palin is very effective. How could she be effective when she hasn't answered a single question regarding her background, experience and qualification? How could you present such a label without completely knowing this chick? What is wrong with you? The republicans have only strategically selected this chick to indirectly send messages to "pissed off" white women (mostly Hillary Clinton's supporters) and to place the Dem into a very uncomfortable position. They intentionally picked a chick that is full of unpleasant baggage; which is making it very difficult for the Dems to fight back. Even a 2 yr old knows that carelessly fighting back may heavily cost Obama;hence, he must be very careful and be more systematic in approaching "The Republican Trap" I personally blame Hillary Clinton for this mess ( it shouldn't have gone down this way at-all); and she should immediately step up and clean up the shit she has implemented. @topic: It's damn too early to be posting this type of topic; I'm completely confident that things will change for better (for Obama) as soon as the dust settles down. |
I'm not sure why you folks continue to beat down this clown; I see something totally different from his list, in fact I think his list is mostly very complimenting. for example: 10 Charectaristics of a NigerianI honestly don't see what could entice me to visit a South African site or forum. Mpele must have seen something special and interesting about Nigerians to frequently visit this website (I wouldn't be surprised to discover that Mpele wishes he was from Nigeria). And it makes me sick when an African from another country is bold enough to talk down to Nigerians. Absolutely not acceptable in my book. This guy needs to be immediately castrated. |
Two types of typical Nigerians: Mr. 1 and Mr. 2 (or Mrs. 1 and Mrs. 2) Characteristics of Mr. 1: 1. He is extremely materialistic 2. He's quick to judge others 3. He thinks he's better than all 4. He's very insecure and mostly mentally flimsy 5. He thinks white folks are better in every way and sees United States as Mecca 6. He measures his accomplishment by the numbers of his cars and houses 7. He's never satisfied regardless of his circumstance 8. He wants things only because his neighbours or friends have them 9. He's very loud and extremely uncivilized 10. He functions OK as long as he stays or mingles with folks at his level or below his level Characteristics of Mr. 2: 1. He's very open minded and fair with his judgement 2. Material stuff means nothing to him 3. He's very respectful, sweet and bold at the same time 4. He mostly keeps his accomplishment to himself (not loud) 5. He does things his own way 6. He's very civilized and has an uncompromising family background/ values 7. He functions well under all circumstances 8. He's very stable in everyway 9. He doesn't mind to share 10. He's also spiritual The question is: Are Mr. 1 or Mr. 2 (Mrs. 1 or Mrs. 2)? |
My friend, you must be referring to ur أب، كاهِن, not me. |
Can someone tell this guy to wean himself off of the crack he is smoking?@Tayo-D: My Friend, it would be pleasant if you simply focus more on the subject; absolutely no need for you to cross the line. |
Thanks for your sincere acknowledgement! ![]() |
No doubt about it, Obama will definitely bring home the cake the same way Yaradua did last year. Did you get it? |
@MAMAJAMA: No need to go there anymore with you; the facts are out there and the real politicians in Nigeria clearly understand these facts. IBB may not be the better man for the job, but he is absolutely the right man for the job at this time. For example: as Joe Biden continues to be the better VP for Obama, Hillary Clinton on the other hand still maintains the right VP for Obama at this moment in the race. We must understand the difference between "The Better Man and The right Man" and when to apply each of them appropriately. Sometimes to get there, you must bite the bullet; most of our problems in Nigeria will be solved as soon as Nigerians in Nigeria (forget those Maricon Nigerians that make so much noise outside Nigeria and show very little action) learn how to bite the bullet. Everything in life is a risk; but to me, selecting IBB as the president at this time in Nigeria is the right risk. Sorry guys, this is just the way I feel. Long Life Yar'Adua! |
Nigeria is simply being re-arranged just in-case of In-caseCity. No need to beat around the bush! |
Sorry folks; it seems to me that Nigeria is being re-arranged just in-case of In-caseCity. Hang on and let us watch Nigerian politics "the real politics", indeed. Long life Yar'Adua. IBB as a president would have accomplished a lot of positive things by now in Nigeria. He knows what is missing, he knows how to restore things back to normal and he knows the right folks that will get the job done correctly and quickly. It is obvious to me that many of us clearly do not completely understand this country; Nigeria is not an ordinary country and can never be ruled by just anybody. IBB is a terrible man that can not be trusted; but what have your people done for you lately, I just want to know how long folks are willing to wait for this miracle to occur! I still think that at this moment in Nigeria, IBB is |
Lets be ENTIRELY HONEST. Put white skin on Obama and he'D be leading the polls by no less than 20%.No doubt about it! |
@Tayo-D: Just in-case you didn't know: Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he served as president of the Harvard Law Review. Palin spent her first college semester at Hawaii Pacific College, transferring in 1983 to North Idaho College and then to the University of Idaho. She attended Matanuska-Susitna College in Alaska for one term, returning to the University of Idaho to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism, graduating in 1987 Her education record makes me dizzzzy! Make no mistake about it; the distance between the nose and the mouth may be close, but the difference is absolutely clear and pretty much significant. We simply do not need another dundee united in the white house |
