Fashion › Re: Sony Launches Wearable Body Air Conditioner by BigBashiru: 4:10am On Jul 29, 2019
YugoMag:
These days, almost all offices now have air conditioners in them, likewise, the cars we drive around and the taxi’s we board.

Ever been in a bus or public transportation without an Air Conditioner, with the bus filled to capacity under a hot sun? What will you do if you find yourself in such a situation? Probably nothing, you only just have to wait till you get to your destination or wait till when substantial air gets into the public transport before you could feel alright.
https://www.yugo.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Sony-company-Logo-1.png

Some of us might have wondered if it could be possible to invent an Air conditioner that can keep the body cool at all times, even when we’re in motion.

Wonder no more as the Japanese Company; Sony just made it a reality with their New “Wearable Body Air Conditioner”. The new Sony Wearable Air Conditioner is of the same size as a SmartPhone, but smaller.

One of the best features of the Wearable Air Conditioner is that it has a Cooling and Warming feature, as it cools you down when you’re feeling hot and warms you up when you feel cold. Isn’t that superb?

The wearable air conditioner tagged “Reon Pocket” comes with a special undershirt with a pocket at the base of the neck where you can slip in the Reon Pocket Air conditioner, connect the device to its app in your smartphone and then use the Bluetooth to power it on.

After getting it up and running with your smartphone’s Bluetooth, you can then select between cooling and heating feature; whichever suits the weather.

According to Sony, the Reon Pocket is capable of cooling a user’s body temperature by 13 degrees Celsius (23 degrees Fahrenheit) on hot days, and on hot days, it can raise a user’s temperature by about 8 degrees Celsius (about 14 degrees Fahrenheit).
https://www.yugo.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Wearable-Body-air-conditioner-special-shirt-2.png

Reon Pocket’s charge time is 2 hours, it uses USB-C charger and its battery lasts up to 24 hours. The wearable air conditioner iOS and Android operating system.

The Reon Pocket’s not noticeable when worn as its soo small and weighs a mere 85 grams (3 ounces).

The wearable body air conditioner comes in 2 types which are ‘Reon Pocket Standard and Reon Pocket Lite.

Reon Pocket Lite is cheaper than Reon Pocket Standard and it comes with manual mode operation. While the standard also lets you manually control the temperature via your smartphone. The Reon Pocket standard also lets you tweak the air volume and it also has a customizable “my mode.”

Unfortunately, the Reon Pocket is only available in Japan for now and the Prices range from 12,760 yen (~$117) to 19,030 yen (~$175), depending on the version and how many undershirts you want to buy with it.

According to Sony, the full production should be expected around March 2020.

Crime › Re: Ayo Owolabi, Father Of Precious Owolabi Speaks On His Death by BigBashiru:
TrendingGist:
Mr. Ayo Owolabi, father of Channel TV reporter, Precious Owolabi, killed during last Monday’s clash between protesting members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and the Police has lamented his promising future has been cut short.

The 21-year-old Owolabi was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) posted to serve with the Channels Television in Abuja.

The late Owolabi’s body was sent to his parents in Zaria on Tuesday.

He was buried at Wusasa Cemetery amidst tears and anguish by his parents, siblings and relations.

Owolabi, in an exclusive interview, said though his son read Theatre and Performing Art, his encounter with Channels Television had made him fallen in love with journalism.

Owolabi, a Deputy Director with Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria said: “Ayoade (Precious) had a promising future but it was cut short by death.

“He graduated at the age 20 and I wanted him to have a straight flight to PhD after his NYSC.

“Though, he read Theatre Art from University of Ilorin but his coming into contact with Channels Television during his NYSC had made him fallen in love with journalism.

“He was always engaged in the Channels TV job that he used to go to work on Sundays.

“In fact, his sister just bought a TV Camera tripod for him. He asked me to plan buying a camera for him. He said, he cost about N300, 000 and I told him, I will buy.”

Precious father who burst into tears as he spoke to The Nation said: “I wanted a straight flight to PhD for him but I never knew it would be a straight flight to death.” He said,

Director General of NYSC, Brig-General Shuaibu Ibrahim who was represented by the Zonal Inspector in charge of Zaria, Mrs. Silifatu Bandele described late Precious Owolabi as a hard-working patriot.

According Mrs. Bandele: “I am grieved to read this funeral oration today on behalf of the Director-General, State Coordinator FCT Abuja, staff and corps members nationwide in respect of late Precious Owolabi Ayo whose unfortunate death occurred while on duty covering the violent protest by members of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) in Abuja on 22nd July, 2019.

“Precious was hardworking and patriotic to his duty. He answered the clarion call to serve his fatherland and made tremendous impact right from the orientation camp to his Place of Primary Assignment at the Channels Television Abuja.

“Though, we can say unequivocally that his life was fruitful as he exhibited high sense of responsibility in assigned duties at his place of work and also outstanding in patriotic service to our nation Nigeria.

“Precious served our country without blemish and if wishes were horses, we at the NYSC family would have wished that this young boy lying before us lives on.

“However, our wishes are not God’s will. I therefore call on the bereaved family to look on to God and bear this irreparable loss. We equally pray that God grants his soul eternal rest.”

Until we address toxic masculinity in males, the world will continue to be a bad place. In western countries there is strong animosity and resentment towards males over the violent conduct of men and men's overrepresentation in crime. Through the years I have never seen women shiite shooters or women fighters that shoot sporadically killing 20. Even if they are are they are extremely rare. The violent conduct of men affects us all if it does not affect you now, it may affect your children. Say no to toxic masculinity. We need a feminist take over of the world!!

You can imagine spending years bring up your child, paying school fees, seeing your child's bright future, only for your child to be violently murdered by toxic males if it's not shiite its biko haram or kidnapping. So we should all be feminists!!

The issue with Nigeria isnt leaders but the wicked hearts and minds of the nigerians themselves! Have sat down with my the whites and compete, do u know one edge I always have?

They usually under rate me, they usually dont count me as a competition, the usually see me as a walk over, most of u will see this as disadvantage

But not me, I see it as an edge, people never see me coming, I will beat them hands down b4 they know what hit them, my victory has always been sweet one

I don't expect respects, I earned them.

Am saddened to see u even regret been who u are and thats bad. We need to change this ideology of white skin supremacy ...

Sister, give them run for their money, shake them, show them ur head is hot.... Black is a colour and not a disease..

Like when I went to London business school, come on, I showed them what Africans are made up of at the end of the day I and other African guys and girls were respected ...

WE HAVE BAD LEADERS DOESNT MAKE US WEAK PEOPLE
Black is a disease. You had to leave a black majority nation and their shithole universities and go to white mans schools like London Business School to show "what Africans are made of"? Why could you not show it in UNILAG or OAU? Dude the evidence is there for all to see.... the white man invented electricity and gave it to you. From 1960 to date you have not been able to achieve stable power on your own. Now you have effectively contracted it out to the white man again to do for you. Same with railway, give nigerian companies railway work to do you will start hearing excuses; give it to the chinese and lagos ibadan rail is almost complete. So you see black is a disease. I repeat - the black race is a disgrace to humanity!

This is my thesis but I could be wrong.
To prove this alleged curse of black Africa in Genesis 9, there is evidence in Nigerian culture - Nigerian culture is based on telling lies and general dishonesty. Basic thingslike making and keeping appointments is lacking.. .

But all curses have been broken in Christ that's why salvation is very important. By accepting Jesus as the LORD and saviour, the curse of Noah on seed of Canaan/ Ham stands no more. It is well.

Let black Africans accept that they hv failed (it will be hard on the ego) and then partner with successful races and find out what made then suvcessful. I believe it's best to have Nigerians ruled by foreigners since no progress since 1960.

If white men kept the airplane and electricity they invented to themselves, black men would still be in darkness.

Even before returning Abachas loot, Switzerland government had to get Nigerian govt to sign undertaking that the funds won't be misused. Black governments are incompetent!

It's only in Africa that you have cults in universities that actually have wars and kill each other. No fraternities in the UK that I know of and fraternities in Us universities don't kill themselves when sent to school.

Nairaland General › Re: Christian Okoro: Hit-And-Run Driver Kills NAN's Technical Director by BigBashiru: 8:42pm On Jul 16, 2019
References:
A hit-and-run driver has killed Mr Christian Okoro, the Head of Technical Services of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Okoro, 50, was killed around `sharp corner’ area of Mararaba, along the Keffi-Abuja Road, while trying to cross the road to pick his car.

An eye witness account indicated that Okoro had gone to watch the Nigeria/Algeria AFCON Semi-Final encounter at a football viewing centre and was on his way home after the match when the speeding vehicle knocked him down and zoomed off.

He was said to have earlier gone for his community meeting and was heading home when he decided to join some friends to watch the crucial match.

“The car was speeding, so when it hit Okoro, the impact was very heavy on him. He died instantly,” the witness told NAN.

Meanwhile, Okoro’s corpse has been deposited at the National Hospital, Abuja mortuary, while a condolence register has been opened at the NAN headquarters in Abuja.

A senior Police officer, who confirmed the incident, described it as “saddening and unfortunate”.

“The matter has been reported to us and is being investigated,” the officer told NAN, craving anonymity.

Born on June 20, 1969 in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government in Enugu State, Okoro attended St. Theresa College, Nsukka, Enugu State before heading to the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu, where he bagged a Bsc in Electrical/Electronics.

He was a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

He joined the services of NAN on January 8, 2004 and steadily rose to become an Assistant Director, Technical Services.

He is survived by his widow, Cordelia, and four children.

The Acting Managing Director of NAN, Malam Ibrahim Mammaga, who led the management and staff of NAN to pay a condolence visit to his family, described Okoro’s death as “a huge loss” to the NAN family.

“The death of Okoro has robbed NAN of a dedicated staff. Okoro was a huge asset to the agency. He has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill,” he said.

He prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Alhaji Abdulhadi Khaliel, Head, Administration and Human Resources Management (A/HRM), who also reacted to Okoro’s death described it as “devastating and painful”.

“Okoro was a peace loving officer, who was committed to duty and always ready to learn,” he said.

Mr Julius Enehikhuere, a Deputy Editor-in-Chief, described Okoro as “a jolly good fellow and a committed staff who was always there for the editorial department”.

“We shall miss his team spirit and deep commitment to duty. His sudden exit is shocking to all of us. We pray God to comfort the family,” he said.

The agency’s Assistant Director A/HRM), Mr Moses Uzoagba, also described Okoro’s death as “a personal loss to me”.

“Okoro, apart from being a colleague, was my personal friend. We have been together for years and I will greatly miss him,” he said.

Another staff, Mr Livinus Ugochukwu, said that Okoro was a personal friend whose death had hit him like a thunderbolt.

“The news shocked me to my marrows; I am particularly sad because his children are still very young,” he said.

Mrs. Kemi Olumorin, who worked with Okoro in the office, described him as “a transparent boss that was always ready to listen to his subordinates”.

“He was approachable; he had a listening ear and was a good boss. He was a very considerate leader and could feel your pains,” she said. (NAN)

you are talking arrant nonsense, saying that the black race is a disgrace to humanity is balderdash, we have our own lapses as black but disgrace to humanity is a no no, how did u even come up with this jargon?
- No single developed black majority country (That's part of what Trump is alluding to).
- Blacks are unable to govern themselves - Nigeria is a typical example from 1960 to date overall Nigeria has regressed. Botha of South Africa spoke the truth go and read his speech. Take the railways being built for example, Nigerians wont be able to maintain it beyond 10 year max before it slowly degrades and within 20 years stops working. Black man no wan work just loves excuses. This explains why Europe is more advanced.
- Have you ever tried to do anything in this country? It's dragged out and frustrating. And pray you don't have need for emergency healthcare like an accident cos all the hospitals will b giving excuses and the nurses will be non chalant.
- Presidents feel no shame going to Europe for treatment.
- degrading things like trying to cross illegally into Europe, presidents and senators and governors wiring money to Europe and US.
- Poor culture compared to UK culture - Things like punctuality and honesty are alien to Nigerians
- Herdsmen, rituals etc. Young men don't want to work
- Insignificant contributions to science and technology.

In fact seems the back race is cursed I don't know.

Why do you want to change his perception when the status of our country still remains the same? The case of Trump is akeen to that if someone moving from a palace to another. imagine someone from Sudan forming badoo. the same thing with that Chimamada. We are living in a country where bovines ate more precious than human life. when you fix your country, the way will respect you. until then, we are living in a zoo.
Well said. Until the black race fixes their countries, the black race failure will continue to be a key point of the white supremacists..... and they are right. Black Race is a disgrace to humanity.
