My apologies for the misrepresentation. And my phone is up to date, I updated it the minute I activated the phone. I did another update some days back. Asides MI apps update, I don't miss the core updates.

Wow it's been a while. I took delivery of the phone since 18th of last month. I was a bit concerned with the way it heated up while charging for the first time. It stopped after the first time.

Talking about charging, I'm still amazed with its charging speed, it's so fast it goes from 0% to 100% in about 48 mins. I'm not too surprised though, I shouldn't expect anything less from a 67Watts charging brick. Most laptops use 45 watts which means this can comfortably charge most laptops.

And the battery life isn't super amazing, but it carries me for the day, and I'm a very heavy user. On an average I'm actively using the phone 20hours/24hours. My data is always turned on, and on 4G network, there's no 5G coverage in my current location. The phone is fast, has never frozen (hung) before, I load multiple applications at once, the 8Gb Ram and Octa-Core processor (clocked at 2.6Ghz), does a wonderful job. Camera performance wasn't a consideration when I bought it, but the camera isn't bad.

The speakers are relatively loud, and has Dolby Atmos, the bluetooth has a good range, WiFi/Hotspot works fine and it's a dual band, WiFi isn't a class 6 (802.11ax) WiFi dongle. I got the 8Gb RAM, 256ROM version. I've not had the chance to use the ir blaster, my tv uses RF not ir. It's not an AMOLED display, but the display is pretty sharp. The build quality is nice too, it feels so strong and rugged.

Honestly I wish there was provision for SD card, 256 is pretty small for me. And I wish there's a way to upscale the display to full screen when I cast to my TV it would be great. Another thing I don't really like about it is the way the camera bulge extends way beyond the back, it makes it susceptible to scratches.

Also, the sim2 gets disabled after some calls and comes back after a few seconds to some minutes, it happens randomly I've not been able to pinpoint a particular reason.

In summary, I'm satisfied with my purchase. It's a sleek phone, not perfect but enough for my needs.

This isn't a well detailed review but it's all I can remember right now.

I need a phone urgently, my budget is #100k-#240k. 8Gb RAM is the minimum RAM, and 256Gb is the minimum ROM. I don't want Samsung,Tecno Infinix, Gionee, Itel and transsion devices generally. I would prefer a 5g phone, must have NFC and infrared blaster, wireless charging isn't a must, WiFi 6 (ax) would be a plus. Please someone help with recommendations. Currently I'm looking at
Oneplus Nord CE 5G and Poco X3 GT, but their reviews aren't that great.

True, no thanks to some uninformed and jealous neighbours once you don't have a 9-5 or a brick and mortar business you run, you're automatically tagged a yahoo boy. And our underpaid, myopic and tribalistic EFFCC operators will be more than happy to pounce on you, without proper (if any) investigations at all, next you're given a mugshot.

Currently I do remote jobs only, moding crypto groups, I paid at least $70-$80 daily on each group, and my loving neighbours who didn't speculate the source of my hunger and poverty when I couldn't feed, same set of retards who didn't investigate the source of my suffering when I was struggling with an MLM business because people hardly believed the business was worth investing in, especially when they take a look at my shoes that were already protesting abusive use, no thanks to SAPA, my face was better imagined, the hunger spoke volumes, as at that time, my neighbours didn't bother to speculate why I trekked the entire city sharing questionnaires and fliers.

when my kids dropped from school because I couldn't pay their fees and they stayed home my loving neighbours didn't investigate nor speculate the source of our poverty, they were happy, some advised my landlady to give out my apartment that I won't afford the rent.

Jehovah in his mercies decided to bless my efforts, suddenly the floodgates opened up, I became a highly sort after Mod, opportunities to become part of the core team in several projects, and I get to choose which one I want to be a part of, and on my own terms, choosing only projects I trust and believe are legitimately genuine, because I don't want to tarnish my image or mess my brand, now I can comfortably spend a few hundred thousand NGN weekly, Jumia visits me for deliveries and I get deliveries more than I receive bills mostly because most of the things I need aren't available locally and when available are unnecessarily expensive.

My loving wife who had endured severe starvation and lack, who had to slave, hawking snacks just so we can feed has started glowing, the curves are making grand entry, and her real face has come out, my kids are getting butterised, attending one of the top schools in the city, all of this doesn't get to my head. I no do pass myself, I no show myself, the introverted me wouldn't even give me the luxury of such stupidity. I'm just trying to give my family a better standard of living to make life worth living. Now my loving neighbours suddenly became top decorated agent of FBI, CIA INTERPOOL, MI6, MOSSAD and other international agencies combined, and from their investigations, the fact that I no longer trek, or run seminars everyday but we're beginning to eat daily and comfortably too, my kids are now in school, my wife is beginning to add flesh where there should be flesh unlike when she became situational induced slim fit, now we can afford some decent change of clothing and life has improved, it can only mean one thing; I'm doing Yahoo. To them spending 10-18hours everyday moderating groups, negotiating with influencers, marketers and basically running Crytpo currency projects is nothing but Yahoo, I mean once you're making money off of the internet, it can only be yahoo.

The summary of what I'm saying is, most times these "yahoo boys" paraded are actually boys earning money legitimately. And yes we have some very stupid ones, who despite having the chance to make a decent honest living still choose to combine the legit with fraudulent activities. I've had a few of them as my mods, and yes they're mostly Nigerians, I mean I was paying one $30 daily, but he still went ahead to defraud someone of 1bnb, dude had more than two tg accounts tagged scam by telegram within one week, first one could be a mistake, but the second and third??

PS: I'm not in anyway saying I've arrived, no, I'm still miles away, just that I'm not where I used to be. This is rather to affirm and inform us that there are so many legit ways of making money online.

I believe you know that no particular brand has monopoly on performance, rather the model determines the production. He may end up buying a model that doesn't produce as good as yours or something better.

I would practice what I preach if I were you. This time last year Cameroonians were coming to us to sell their cocoa, and we would send people there to buy, because it was profitable for us to buy from them. Start with knowing that they're more than one Franc. There's XOF and XAF and they're generally referred to as CFC.

NB personally am into infosec as a penetration tester (CEH v11) and now studying for my OSCP (Certification course from Offensive Security the creators of Kali Linux)next year.
Infosec (cyber security) is a good field and there's a lot of entry courses and certifications including free ones that are really good.
I'm 2 months into my study for AWS cloud practitioner, i just wanted to add cloud computing knowledge to my skills. (Maybe cloud security in future)
