Man that is nice of u, i will definately giv u a call, but know that it is a voluntary service, and would require some sacrifice on your part, hey i dont want to scare u but i just want to know what it takes, most of the cds/dvds i send to pple are purchased thru my own funding, and i also pay the cost of sending them and i must say that , i have never being happier spending my money, cus ubuntu linux has being so good to me that i wan to share it to other Nigerians and also help them get over the limitations of the internet, so think about it and if u still want to be part of the ubuntunigeria team mail me here, bigbrovar@gmail.com
cheers

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. Hardly seems worth it.

If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb. Now that’s more like it!

The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet. Yikes.

A pig’s orgasm lasts 30 minutes. In my next life, I want to be a pig.

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. Creepy. I’m still not over the pig.

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour. Don’t try this at home… maybe at work.

The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male’s head off. Honey, I’m home. What the…

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It’s like a human jumping the length of a football field. 30 minutes… lucky pig! Can you imagine?

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds. What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?

Some lions mate over 50 times a day. I still want to be a pig in my next life… quality over quantity. How about a lionhearted pig?

Butterflies taste with their feet. Something I always wanted to know.

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue. Hmmmmmm…

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people. If you’re ambidextrous, do you split the difference?

Hey Darkman right on the spot again, while i try to help pple's path to discovering the power of ubuntu a bit easier by providing basic support with cds and softwares , like u said the ultimate achievement of true enlightenment through linux is a jorney that has to be walked alone, nobody can do that for u, i remembered some 3 months ago u gave me the push and a stick to walk with, but it was me who took the dive and ultimately learned how to walk on my own, yeah i still have countless of things to learn and know , cus with linux u can never know it all , there is always something new and refreshing, the ubuntunigeria project is about given people the push and the stick that there would need to explore the world of opensource its not about spoon feeding, cus if it were that then welcome to devavu and the world of windoze, spoon feeding cripples pple for ever cus it deprives them of learning how to fish and the different way u can fish,

@ rich dad am now feeling beta u could call me on my number so that we can arrainge how u can come pick up the Ubuntu dvd,

SportsArsenal Now Britain's Richest Club ? by bigrovar(op): 10:02am On Sep 24, 2007
Top of the league in every sense - Gunners rake in £3.1m every home game

Arsenal today revealed their status as Britain's richest football club following figures released this morning which show their move to Emirates Stadium helped increase turnover to more than £200million.

The report - for the year ending May 31, 2007 - also revealed group operating profits up by an astonishing 274 per cent, to £51.2 million.

These well exceed the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea - whose respective turnover for the same period was £167.8m and £152.8m.

Today's announcement also rockets Arsenal into the same financial league as Real Madrid, whose turnover was £202m for the 2005-06 season.

Arsenal's move to their new 60,000-seater home at Ashburton Grove from Highbury has proved more than a financially sound decision, with the long-term debt related to the move having also been refinanced into bonds which provide "a significant reduction" in annual service costs.

The club generated match day revenues of £90.6m in their first season, representing some £3.1m-per-game - which was more than double that of Highbury.

Meanwhile, some 91 per cent of the units at "The Stadium - Highbury Square" redevelopment are already pre-sold, with final completion sales expected to comfortably exceed £300m.

Arsenal - currently top of the Barclays Premier League - saw their cash balances up to £73.9m, from £35.6m in 2006.

The figures are "before player trading and depreciation", and as such do not take into account the £16million sale of Thierry Henry to Barcelona during the summer or other recent transfer dealings as manager Arsene Wenger reshaped his squad.

They would also more than back-up the stance of the current board that the club does not need a wealthy backer to compete with the best.

Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov increased his shareholding in the club last week via Red and White Holdings Limited to around 21%, which makes the investment company Arsenal's second-largest shareholder behind director Danny Fiszman. Meanwhile, American billionaire Stan Kroenke remains another significant investor, with a stake of just over 12 per cent.

Commenting on the figures, Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood said: "The best way that Arsenal can continue to deliver success is by maintaining a business that pays its own way.

"This philosophy helped establish our objectives for the club's move away from Highbury and Emirates Stadium now provides Arsenal with the increased income, profitability, cash generation and firm financial foundations from which we will continue to build trophy winning Arsenal teams for many years to come."

Hill-Wood added: "We have always pursued, and intend to continue with, a policy of re-investing profits and surplus cash into team development.

"Emirates Stadium now provides the club with the firm financial foundations from which we will continue to build trophy winning Arsenal teams for many years to come."

OK let me start,
one thing i would like to see in Nairaland is RSS Feeds i was quite surprised that Nairaland does not have RSS , cus having it would make it very easy to check ur RSS for any new post / or a reply to ur post, i hate having to open a web page every time i want to check for any new thing on Nairaland, for example i have the feeds for Ubuntu Forum and BBCNEWS what i just do is click on this feeds and a drop down displays all the contend and topics of the particular page in the site that i subscribe. to ,

i feel that avatars should be used in Nairaland , this would really make Nairaland more exciting and fun, and prevent having to click on a persons profile just because u want to put a face to his name

well those are the things i feel would make Nairaland an even better place , what about u?

For many people like me Nairaland as come to become the our internet home, i probably reload a page in Nairaland 500 times a day to see if there are new posts, and i most say that my Experience here can not be measured by anything, although i belong to many forums world over but as the saying goes there is no where like home.and Nairaland is home for many of us, or where else could i be round over 132,672 people who speak my language? i have made many friends and had many contact, here.that i sometimes feel maybe i should start paying royalty to Seun our Admin, But as good as Nairaland is there are still many rooms for improvement and that is why i started this thread, so that we all can made suggestions on our to make Nairaland bigger, better and even add to the WOW and AWESOME factor of the great Forum, With the Hope that Our Admin can take this feed back apply it in any future upgrade.
